This is from the actual races where they'll pass me from several car lengths back going into Turn 1, and (usually) still make the corner.
Hmm, sounds like me. I brake at the cone, slam the brakes and instantly to 2nd, hold off a bit then first, lift completely and then pin the throttle. What speed are you going at the end of the straight?

Edit- Is Race A provided?
 
Didn't realise Race C were RH & RM. About to do my first race without qualy(18/19). @Famine, please remind folks about both tyre choices. :)

I do recommend Race B. That was awesome! Clean racing with everyone. Grid start. Do not use TCS. The 458 has plenty of grip. I did practice starts during Warm Up.

Made up 4 places at the start. Couple cars went off T1. Racers around me gave room. Even when I was fighting for position, we were all patient. Good stuff from players post race.
Me and the two that finished behind me, were the only black cars. :)

Edit: Race C was okay. Solid run from Big Lex(as usual). 1RH/7RM/5RM. Got 3 seconds for tapping P11, when it unghosted in front of me, entering the pits. Must have crashed.

Love being on a quicker tyre. Helped me catch up to those on the RH. Ran middle of the pack all race. Pitted for my final set of RM around Lap 8.
An NSX started P1. Will have to watch the replay.

In the cleanest race out of the three where mostly everyone stayed single file until about the last quarter mile, I won not doing anything but bump drafting yet got dropped to SR of E. Avoid this race like the plague coronavirus.

Yeah, time penalties are on for the bigger contacts and SR down for bump drafting (definitely for the car ahead, not sure about the pusher). Still seems like a fun race, I'm going again.

Yes, it is fun for the most part. Just don't lose the draft.
 
For anyone wondering about the ABS weak thing, you can tell right away in someones replay if they are using ABS weak, because they ABS light will be yellow instead of red. Go Karts are still the only time I ever see a top time replay with the yellow light. :)
 
Race A isn't actually too bad, the slipstream runs aren't as strong in the GT as they were in the 458 because of the power/gearing and almost everybody (in Europe at least) is trying to keep it clean, with a bit of give and take it's fine. The penalty problem is when you get to the final corner in a pack of 12, everybody is all take because they can win.

Can't complain though because it's mostly good racing.
 
Had a gnarly wild couple of rides at Brands and calling it. Ran first race, 1 qualification lap, went wide 3 times so starting p19 of 20. P18 gets the grid bug as soon as the game controls the car. We hit the line 8 seconds behind p17. :D I make it more fun by binning it at Hawthorne lap 2. From there it was hard to keep paying attention.:ouch:

Next race had an actual qually lap. Somehow managed to spin it on the outside curb before you get to Graham Hill?!?!? Never done that before. Still manage an ok result, p6. Did get to see one of my punt on sight people run into a track clog that had backed lots of us up. Great birds eye view as 1 block too many was thrown and a push wide happened intern 1, but it wasn't over as they got the revenge punt at the top of the hill. I slid at Sheene so they just got by me again, as a pair. And I got to watch them take each other out at the final turn as well. Solid popcorn moment.

Third race another push to pass regular was catching me on the final lap. I know not to defend or they will punt anytime, anywhere. I just want to finish. Nope, give them the full inside, they side hit me wide and I go off. Drop from p5 to p9. :banghead:

Otherwise good fun. Whole struggle to get my rhythm back in the Gr3 car. Not going near SSRX on my main. See you guys in NA on that one:D

My 2 cents about bump drafting (or rather getting bump drafted) at SSRX.

My main account, which I didn't use for this, has a very long ongoing streak of 99 SR.

The sum of both my accounts' SR right now is 100.

It's totally killer.... I'm approx 1 SR away from a reset, on both my accounts... Thinking about starting a third account for this weeks tracks
 
Two race B just now. The first I am in P2, clean race as I run alone all the way, finished P2 too.
Second race, started P7,a Lot, really a lot of talk about clean racing in the pre-race chat.
I get a good start, and in one lap I am in P4. Then T1,L2 P5 dive-bombed me and I am forced off and spin to P16.
Back at it, L3 I'm coming up to T1 as P13, then an Italian driver in P14 uses me as a brake, doesn't dive-bomb, just straight into my rear not even trying to avoid (replay show, I gave him the benefit of doubt then). I catch up to him after the penalty zone where he spent 2 seconds for hitting me.
I stay behind because as expected he overdrive as soon as he unghost.
Then in T1 I see him do the very same thing to another player and this time there is a third player on the outside so two players goes off.
In T2 I send him all the way to the back wall and he quit. I get 4 seconds and it's worth it.
Let the other two pass me and finish with SR 87...
Now to run C to rebuild SR

Meanwhile, I've seen people murder each other on the straights. :lol:
 
Race A has great potential:
1. Disable SR down for BEING bump drafted, give it to the car behind.
2. Allow tuning

that’s all it’d take

My first race I got t-boned (yes) on the first corner

my 2nd race, heading into the last corner P2 in a pack, and got an SR down & 1s penalty from being shoved around by the chasing pack... crossed 3rd, came 6th

EDIT: 3rd time lucky, P1, knocked sideways in the last corner and won in a 4-way on the line.
