N24h has been a lot of fun this week, but I've had a couple races where I'm right on someone going into the final straight and they try to slow down at the end of the right turn to let me through only so they can get the slipstream and take their place back. It's honestly just poor sportsmanship.
The only opportunity to pass before there is the narrow uphill section at Kesselchen, and it's all too easy for the car ahead to block someone from passing there. I get stuck behind slower cars there almost every race, and I just patiently sit behind them at about +0.3 seconds as they're barely in control of their car for 2-3 minutes, if they manage to stay on the track. On at least three occasions after sitting behind someone who was objectively slower, they let off the gas as soon as they get around to the start of the final straight, hoping that I'll go past them and they can take advantage of the slipstream and take the place back. I just slow down with them until they realize it's not going to work, pass them up the hill, and try to break the slipstream or block them if I have to. It's not clever or a smart strategy, it's just cheap.
Oh man, SH tyres for Race C and no strategy option either... is a pit stop necessary?
Don't you mean RAWE CEEK?This is the discussion thread for a recent post on GTPlanet:

The problem is it's always someone objectively slower doing it after I patiently sit behind them for 2-3 minutes during which there are literally no overtaking opportunities. It's the fact that less patient drivers could easily ruin their race and push them off the circuit and I never want to do that to someone who isn't being dirty. But I see it happen in that particular section of the track all the time.i dont see a problem with that at all, as long as they dont lift on the middle of the track, btw it depends n the situation , can’t be a sitting duck when there’s only two of us and its lap 2.
Just stay out of the racing line and lift as much as you want., and it can get really fun too, and yes i did that a lot too

How to ruin Race C, PD style.
Take a low-power lightweight entry level race car.
Add 206 kg of ballast.
Reduce the power by 34 PS.
Set tyre wear multiplier at x16 so that the already terrible handling gets worse as the race progresses.

Last weeks race C was great, here are my highlights:
Overtakes, big moments and bs penalties, I even put in me binning it on SuperGT's stream![]()

It worked the lap beforeAwesome drifting moments. Amazing how SuperGT ran you off the track like that, I always suspected he was sketchy ;-)
How on earth do you make the chase cam respond tight like that?
We need at least one race on the Nordschleife Tourist layout, the 'toll booth chicane' is scarily fast and super tight!PD should have an "Alternate Chicane" award. Nicely done.
The worst part is it's a fictional car and they apply this nonsense BoP instead of just releasing the car with the right stats.I will never understand BOP for a single make race.
I actually like the settings there this week as well. It is really a reward if you are patient and smooth and keep the car really well balanced. By lap 6 you can definitely see who has tires or not. It also is a set up that allows for more side by side racing. It isnt all out fast dive passes and crazy moves, but planning, set up and execution to get a proper run and overlap to pull a move off.I guess on c race they intend to make it less arcade and more sim this week.
Personally I like the high tire wear, but more weight.
Its because my conservative style does well in those conditions I guess.
To me, I’m opposite what most players want. Seems like most streamers and players want full out maximum attack over the whole race. They want ultimate breakneck speed maximum risk every lap and they feel their one lap pace is great enough and this way would give them best chance go win.
For me I like shorter races but I also enjoy the strategy involved with tire wear and fuel use. Sometimes a lap 3/4 second off max attack but done repeatedly over the course of a race is far better on tires and fuel, and more realistic imo.
I feel it takes skill to conserve tires, but seems like the majority belief is tire wear just happens at a fixed rate per car regardless, and is viewed as a nuisance...
I just disagree...
