Well, I’ve completely killed my, not so high, Dr, but I’m back at Sr S.
A few more of these tomorrow, and I might do some qualifying and try to get that Dr back.

I really like this track. In my opinion, Drafon trail and Lago Maggiore GP is the best original tracks in the game

Everything wrong with the SR system :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy:
I am at 99 now, which is also a big question mark...

On my way back up, I'm finding SR.A the dirtiest so far. First red rating I got was just below SR.S, people trying stupid things like side by side through the bus stop and crazy dives into the chicane. It's also nearing dirty hours, schools are out, GTA crowd is in. It's slow progress of course at the daily B, not worth many points unless you're SR.E (There it was +17 for a clean race)

Yep, another idiot screws up the bus stop right in front of me, I get a 5 sec penalty for him hitting the wall and bouncing into me. Back to SR.B -9 SR to 64. Penalty system still can't tell cause from effect. Oh and I hit a ghost as well, penalty serving on the racing line, ghosted in traffic, yet somehow still solid. It didn't affect his car, mine slowed down to a crawl. Makes sense.

SR.B should be cleaner than SR.A anyway.

The no-stop strategy backfired horribly for me at the Nurburgring GP; I went backwards trying to conserve fuel. Both the races I did were won by someone who pitted, unlike the day before. I just wasted my opportunities, finishing 8th and 11th respectively.:boggled: Unbelievable after starting 3rd and 2nd on the grid.

Ah, misunderstanding. I'm thinking 61 in one race!
On the way down, SR = C is the worst and can knock you right down to 0.
But you are right, it is also amazing, how much bumping is going on in SR=A. (Because the system does not work long term)

One more thing: I know, I am not allowed to say this here, but regardless of SR, if you have 2 or more French kids aka Fronks directly behind you, you are in for trouble. I saved my SR=99 this time by letting 3 of them pass, i.e. get away with their squeeze, but this is not a thing I'm going to take up as a hobby...

It is often best to always defend the inside - even in cases where no sane person would go for an overtake there...

I can't drive these gr3 cars yet

I figure jump in race C no Q time and get some SR back but I just cant keep this car on the road. And 6 others no Q time either all behind me.

Why am I doing this? What's the point

Thoroughly enjoying Dragon Trail Seaside. Been part of some great racing and its all been really clean, which isn't often the case in Gr. 4

I even picked up a win, which hasn't happened in a loooooong time!

It's a bit of a shame that 98% of people are using the Huracan, but I'm included in that as I really enjoy that car. I may give the Veyron a go just to mix things up.

I also need to work on not holding my breath through the chicane

It was +60 for one clean race, daily C clean race at SR.E. There is a huge bonus when you drive in SR.E.
It was +17 for one clean race on the daily B at SR.E

It's Brazilians here, it's even more pronounced at lower SR ranks. Slow in fast out is an alien concept, it's in first, brakes optional. It's kinda funny how it seems to be impossible for some people to brake before you do, must out brake, even if there is no way they can make the corner.

I'm down to 51 now (was still mostly SR.A room) had to dole out some street justice as the penalty system is even more broken at the lower ranks. 2 sec penalty for getting rammed into another car that goes off road. I thought that was fixed, apparently not. I punted him off in the next corner, enough is enough. He already gave me several SR Downs by bumping.

Good time to test how many points Suzuka is worth at SR.B. Full avoidance mode [on]. No no stop this time, that was too painful.

A high 47.1 with the Scirocco - enough for today ( since I don't like the car ) with a tear of joy and a tear of pain.
Could be happy with that time already. Been a carlength ahead of my ghost though once and messed up the last turn :banghead: !

I need to chill out no doubt lol definitly also need more practice in Gr3 cars but I'm not there yet. Hate I can't tune at least Im comfortable in gr4

I'd do better if I tried some counter steering assis but I'd rather not. I've got it off and like to leave it off. Offline practice in the future, for now Ill just fight my way through Gr4.

In the midst of all the nonsense I've pulled a few Wins, couple more to hit my first milestone of 100 wins

I've been putting together reference laps each week for the daily races and thought I'd share here. Hope they help!

February 18th - 24th | Daily Races A, B, C

- Daily Race A: Lago Maggiore Center | Gr.4 | VW Scirocco | 47:141
- Daily Race B: Dragon Trail | Gr.4 | Bugatti Veyron | 1:44.947
- Daily Race C: Suzuka | Gr.3 | Audi R8 GT3 | 1:58.914

Suzuka at SR.51 full avoidance mode. I finished 5th with clean race bonus contact free. I got stuck behind an unstable Lexus until I could jump him in the pit. He was dragging me down to 2:07 laps yet since he was all over the place I decided to save fuel while dodging other cars. After the pit I got into the 2;04's and build up an 8 sec gap to Mr. Lexus.

Clean Suzuka race at SR.E was +60 SR.
Clean Suzuka race at SR.B is +21 SR.

Next, SR.A Suzuka.

Speaking of E rating, I started off my new profile Sunday with a DR E & SR B. The game makes you complete 5 races before it will let you move above E. I started at Maggiore/Gr.3. First and only attempt at that race all week. I started DFL, with no Q time. There were 3 other Es in the race, that started ahead of me because they at least managed put down some really bad times (To be expected. They're new guys.). All else were B/C/D. I passed the 3 other Es in the first 20 seconds. Made it to top 5 with the fastest lap. Someone asked me WTF?, after the race.

Went to race A, (still an E rated driver for my next 4 races) and did another No Q race. Got up to 3rd, but had to take a lot of damage to get there. I didn't want to go down to SR E too, so I did 2 Q laps between races. Started the next race on pole, 3 seconds faster than P2. I got a WTF? before that race started. Won 3 straight races there, to finish my E career. Before the last race, I sent the "I'm a beginner" comment. I don't think they bought it. I did feel kinda feel like a 🤬, taking wins from those guys. Nothing else I could do, though. They won't let you race faster guys until you finish the 5 races.

On a side note, the circuit experiences sure are a good way to get a lot of cars and money quickly. 👍

Race A
After a break from this morning to shoot stuff in rdr2, got back in the vw for some practice. Knocked my QT down to 48.003 and got my first pole! SR All S DR mostly D and a few C's. I knew the pressure would get me and by half a lap I was in the grass and falling to 5th. Stayed there whole race and got 4th via others penalties. Happy with it, the first lap goof and a few sloppy turns, still finished less than 4 seconds off the win, closest yet. Practice practice practice.

I just switched to RDR2 lol

Figures I give Sport A break for now, see how the late late night crowd is lol

That did not go as planned, SR.A is dirty. There were a lot of non qualifiers, no luxury of starting last. Bunch of headlight flashing behind me and a 1 bar Argentinian in front causing a lot of mayhem. Thus several SR Downs before the esses from the cars behind while I have to avoid the chaos in front. Plus I got a 1 sec penalty when a car simply drove into me and bounced off the track. No radar I guess.

I finished 2nd, could have made a dive on the Brazilian in front, was temped yet stuck behind with my 1 sec penalty. Only +5 SR fot that race, 76, still in A, another chance to see how much a clean race is worth.

Woot, starting last this time, better.

@GumballCGT: Just as I am proud of cracking 2:01, you have to post this ridiculous lap. Exactly 1 sec faster in first as well as second half... and I thought I was doing fine through the esses!

How is it even possible on this wobbly setup of yours? My IKEA kitchen cabinet rig is more stable than this ;)
Add in that ridiculous hood cam. I always guessed it was better, but it makes me seasick and has nothing to do with reality.

After my 'breaktrough' I got to race with YouTube 'legend' GT_BOCA_Momoz91 and others, everybody in top 5 was using the 911 for race. I still wonder why.

Followed up with a 2nd place, led the first lap after starting 3rd. Heard him tailing whole 2nd lap, let him go before the last turn. Kept all my laps 48-49 range. 5 seconds behind winner, 5 seconds ahead of 3rd. Its fun when you do good.

I'm going to spend this week testing my progress in the game. I started playing regularly last August. KP has my qualifying time for Gr.4 at Dragon Trail as 1:46.870, that was in the GT-R. I was comfortably into the 47's today as soon as I started qualifying, and I think I had a 1:46.9 in the optimum before qualifying finished. I know various physics have changed since then but I definitely feel a lot more confident in the car.

Test failed, SR.A is too dirty. I got punted off by an American how continued bumping and punting people until he got DQ'd or quit. Then I was slightly ahead onto turn 1 on the inside, I brake on time however I forgot to check the flag of the car next to me. A desperate out brake attempt while trying to save the corner by steering into me, yup a Brazilian. 2 sec penalty for me as he naturally bounced off into the green wobbly stuff. Still +9 SR for me to 85, too high now to check the max possible gain.

I guess I can do a race B to drop back to SR.A, SR.S + bus stop will do that automatically.

Dinner first, after trying to update Mincraft for my son. Windows 10 store is one big piece of 🤬. He could not join his friend's server, client out of date. We finally found the update button hidden in the store page (not in the app ofcourse, that would be too logical) yet pressing that did nothing. No error, no message, just a broken button. Into system settings, try reset app which should verify and update the app. App reset, still out of date. Uninstall then, store won't reinstall. We finally found where the update queue is hiding, 27 updates available.... Located Minecraft, spammed the 'get on with it icon', however it says waiting for wifi. There is wifi as I'm browsing the effing MS help pages for answers. Then the help page gave me some ridiculous suggestions, first change the date and time, erm that's set automatically since the internet was invented... Next pages long of messing with services in msconfig and what not... Reboot laptop, problem solved...

I won't complain about lengthy GTS updates ever again.

Headlight flashers or guys running with Hazards on make me crazy.

The hazards make it hard to see their brake lights its like do they want to get hit? What gives?

Then you got guys flashing their lights like what, Im supposed to let you go by? Can you see the car in front if me who Im trailing?

How about learn to overtake instead of asking for positions like a punk.

Best is the flash you a few times till I get a gap and build my gap on em like what were you flashing for, let me know I got a arsehat behind me lol.

Went from last to first in the pits. Everyone had 15-20%. I had 53% end of lap 5. First place pitted one lap later and I came out front with the Huracan and FT-1 battling for two laps. Huracan had straightline speed and good punch once hooked up. Atenza had the better handling and brakes through all the turns. I gave up the lead on the back straight. GAined it back on last lap. Picked my line and didn't block but still got bumped for an orange arrow. Huracan got a run at the back straight, but I could get it out of the final chicane. Just a bit too early on the brakes cost me speed for my exit. All good. Third place thought I didn't pit.

SR.S delivered, just one race at DT Seaside, got rammed off 4 or 5 times, lost count of how many blows I received, -10 SR to 75. Suzuka test next.

SR system is so broken that racing at SR.E is cleaner than at SR.S :banghead:

Another failure, still too dirty. I quit the daily C to preserve my SR (not getting too high), switched back to DT: Seaside.

I thought it was Sven but it was @Dairyworker . Good racing with you for a second, I was a mess in that race, couldn't get the grip. Dropped me to A, I got punted hard into 1, retaliation I likely deserved.

Next race start and finish 2nd, fought off 1.5 mystery seconds at the line. If I could get my groove on lap 1 and 2 instead of 3 or 4 I believe I could fight for a win here and there.

Anyone else superstitous on color? After the bad race I switched from green I'd been running all night :)

Not really a fan of any races this week, @Pigems This is for the beat you gave me last week lolView attachment 800613

Congrats, Awesome Lap Man!! I knew I wouldn’t last long up there. :)

I don’t particularly like any of them either, I think I’m gonna try to work on my Race B time the rest of the week. Sub 47 may be possible on Race A but I don’t think I’ll be the guy to do it, 150+ Laps today didn’t get it done.
