Get a bunch of Red Bull on your way home.![]()
Hey, you wanna have some fun? Start at the back, and on lap 1 take out all the distance markers, then watch the hilarity that ensues next time around.
Sven actually gets credit for that idea.
That is evil. I rely on those things at the start of the week.![]()
They seem to be just aiming for that 7speed
@Groundfish I'd got the Viper to a 2:14:5xx. There is more to get but I need to string it together. She drives very nice at Bratwurst. Even though it'll hurt my rating, I'll stick with it 👍 I am used now of being a field-filler![]()
Trying now for fun to see lol, let you all knowFirst lap in the Beat, 2:17. I don’t remember it being so squirrelly at speed?
Oh, you're cookin', baby! I think my first one was in the 2:20s.First lap in the Beat, 2:17. I don’t remember it being so squirrelly at speed?

Yeah, something weird happened this morning when I was doing laps there. I got 2:10.8, then stopped to see if it got me to the top 10. It did, but it said I had 2:10.9, which I never did on any of my laps. After a while, it changed my time.
Something weird is happening, because there's also 4 people that are already under the fastest time from the last race, and it's only Monday.
Additionally, @MattJones_e36 and Lester are both about 1.3 seconds faster than they were last time.
In no way do I believe that those two have done anything wrong, but something is up.
Matt, what's happening?

Thanks for the reply. I didn't put up the video.Well i didn't really understood the video you quoted, if it's about lap times sometimes not matching what is displayed on the upper right table, it's an old replay bug that is overlooked most of the time, because people usually only do 1/2 laps max on these leaderboard hotlaps. The more laps are done, the weird it becomes on replays, don't know why, just PD being PD i guess.
And the second part about me, lester and the other boys posting faster lap times since the last combo, we had a physics change on the meantime that made things different. And, to be fair, i definitely got faster since then, on the last Beat/Yamagiwa combo i didn't even had a month of game time! Time flies![]()
Yeah, that’s a solid time, exit speed on that track is so critical with uphill and long straights. Very tough to string it all together.
Megane has OP acceleration and braking but is slow up from Cutting.
Very very tough car to contend with there.
I’ll try the Viper.
Give the Stang a go. That’s a fast pony on top end, 3rd gear for the Chase Murray’s and Hell’s and fourth through the right hand uphill sweeper before Cutting and third onto Conrod worked well in the stang.
Hmmm... seems like a 2:33 lap would require about 3 crashes and a penalty.2.33.449 race A for this slow guy lol
The worst of F1 now its the dirty air its nearly impossible to get close to the guy in front because of the way the downforce is now cant wait to see whit 2021 cars they will be ground effect carsYes, you could very well argue that. Still, F1 was fun to watch before, and they haven't updated the physics. They rebuild the tracks, they are making tires that won't last and they regulate everything, from the amount of fuel carried, via the amount of fuel used per time unit to the weight of everything and the downforce they can have.
Pretty soon F1 will be a one make race with no overtaking possibly. Fastest qualifying wins. I remember when I started to watch F1, when Lauda and Villeneuve (his dad) and Hunt, Stewart, Fittipaldi, Andretti made it exiting! You never knew who would win before the race was over.
This week hot laps
Doesn't the game invalidate your Q lap if you get a penalty?Race A laptime has just been beaten - now 2:06.109, but it's a cheat!
He cuts straight across the grass at both of the chicanes, only picking up 0.5 second penalty on the way - that doesn't compensate for the time that he gains by cutting.
They'll all be at it now.....
Not if you run the penalty off before the end of the lap.Doesn't the game invalidate your Q lap if you get a penalty?
Well, then I suppose that falls into a gray area. If someone goes outside of the track limits, earning a penalty, then the game makes them serve the slowdown penalty time, the game considers them to be all square at that point. Not if you run the penalty off before the end of the lap.
If you get a penalty late in a lap, it is often held over until the next lap, which would negate a qualifying time. If you get the penalty early in the lap, it is often served at a penalty zone further round the same lap, meaning your qualifying time stands.Well, then I suppose that falls into a gray area. If someone goes outside of the track limits, earning a penalty, then the game makes them serve the slowdown penalty time, the game considers them to be all square at that point.
I'd say it doesn't quite fall into the same category as the Goodwood and Spa cheats.

I do remember a thread once about cheaters, but they weren't if the game allowed it right?Well, then I suppose that falls into a gray area. If I were in your shoes, I would absolutely feel cheated.i just tried it on my alt account (plugged the internet off so it doesn't count) and yes, it's a cheat. By cutting the chicane you gain a loot of time and carry much more speed uphill, and that counts a lot on these slow momentum cars. PD really dropped the ball on the penalty zones in this track, since it allows you to serve it right before the finish line and the lap counts! (Also there's a penalty zone on the hill after the chicane which will be a death sentence on the races, it will kill all momentum for the penalty server).
Expect barriers on the chicane soonEither that, or they just shouldn't allow penalties to be served on time trials, got a pen, your lap's off, pretty simple.
Talking about penalty zones, race C has a doozy again. Right in the braking zone between 2 slow-ish corners, more like an auto brake zone than a penalty zone.

So you are suggesting that if you are having troubles with that corner the strategy is to deliberately get a penalty so the game does the braking for you?![]()
I am happy with my timeWhy are there penalty zones during qualifying
Go out of bounds, invalidate lap, so basic.
