Did a few race A's last night and while the race is fun it is also one of the dirtiest races I have EVER been a part of. Race turns into a punt fest if you ever pass someone and I've been side-swiped off the road multiple times trying to pass only to get shoved off the road and no penalty given. I've also gotten penalties in the turn before the uphill portion where I'm on the inside and the car outside turns into me.

Fun race but damn. Merry Christmas y'all.

And I thought doing my state patrol livery was a challenge. Someone said that you could change the color of the Crown's light bar, but no dice on the Charger. That takes a small amount of realism away, because none of the police forces in my area use red in the lighting apparatus.

Also, Merry Christmas to you all.

This Morning I had a good Daily Race C, just before the servers went down. :D

I started from P2 and the driver on Pole and myself were the two A+ drivers in the lobby (the rest were DR A and B).

Right from the start I was able to put pressure on the car in front of me and at the end of the first lap I knew, that I had to get past because the drivers from behind were getting close to us.

My only chance was in the braking point for Turn 1.
And I admit, that it was a hard move ut turned out really well.
The rest of the race was quite unspectacular and I finished with a 7 sec. gap to P2.

Long story short: The 0.5 sec. penalty was worth it. :D

so you're proud of forcing the inside line by going over the track limit? ok

I've already heard one horror story about KFC tonight & Mike's just made it two. Guess who won't be going to the Colonel's anytime soon.

Back on topic, I've spent my free time today getting pictures & videos out of the new "safety cars" ;). I'm actually surprised that I haven't dipped my toes into the Laguna. But, the stories continue to paint an unflattering picture of LS & I currently don't want my impression of the track tainted.
I've been boycotting them for a few years. The worst pain I can ever remember feeling was thanks to KFC. :ouch:
After getting dinner there one night, I was awaken at about 2 am with the worst pain in my stomach you can imagine. It felt like I was getting stabbed in the stomach. Under-cooked chicken is DANGEROUS!
It was probably a rare thing, but I'll be damned if I give them another chance. :irked:

Now, I really don't like the idea of eating chicken that I didn't cook, myself.
I usually over-cook it a bit, to be sure. 👍

Had a mixed race C, first I bumped p9 right before T2 when he brakes a lot sooner than I expected. I am not proud of that. I got 2 well-deserved seconds penalty.
I thought about waiting him out but he waited for the reset so I pressed on.
The rest of the race was very clean, we had a couple of non-qualifiers coming up through the field but they where clean so no problems.
I passed a few in Rainey, probably my favourite overtake spot on the track, and had some really clean battles with a Dane and a German. End result p10 to p5.
I like Laguna Seca, almost as much as Spa.

5 laps on race B, that is nice!

Mandatory hard tyres should make race C mildly entertaining.. More so than when we had the exact same settings last time around..

Really hoping slightly longer race Bs are back.. I personally don't do Race Bs anymore, but I feel for all the racers who have to deal with 3 lap sprints...

South Inner Loop is finally back after a year... It's good PD remembered the docks layout exists and didn't select East or Central for the millionth time. It's by far my favorite layout so I'll likely only do Race A.

An extended Race B is a step in the right direction but Gr.3 at Interlagos again? We only had it a few weeks ago... Too bad Gr.2 is at Fuji :yuck: and not Spa, St. Croix, Monza etc etc.

I will be happy to take Fuji instead of St. Croix. That track is a mystery to me. When did we last have GR2 at Fuji? It has at least been a while. I think, but my memory isn't doing so well.

May this year but It's not about how long ago it was last used for me. I personally don't like Fuji and I emphasized how there's so many tracks where Gr.2 cars have yet to be used.

I'm not surprised given the number of times it's featured in daily races.

If South Inner Loop is with the Supra, it will give me nightmares. One of the Supra Cup races was there, and it was stupid easy to slide into a wall and lose a ton of time.

E: are the servers down? I can't get into the GTSport website.

Was the last race there the Copen? That would've been about 8 months ago.
I remember enjoying that one. :) It was a total chess match, because of the slipstream.

Yeah PD is a firm believer in recycling races constantly and loading up with 7 out of 10 races on japanese tracks. I wasn't barely capable of looking at anything GR2 back in may. That will explain me not recognizing the combo. And that last uphill section of Fuji is just awful, but it beats having more recent races recycled. Oh well. Another week another challenge.

Still busy with fixing my diet as I try to have less sausages at Laguna Seca.

I remember it. Qualifying with a bad time was a legit strat since pole and people at the front were always left in the dust. Or falling behind the leader at the last straight to pass them in their slipstream for the win.

I'll place my N300 bet with the Toyota Crown. It's new and a Toyota. I'd love to see JDM cars return but for whatever reason, PD hasn't brought them back in a long time.

You're right. Check this out. We all slowed down on the final straight to time our final moves.

Servers down again? With race C, I managed to get two and a half races in. Won the first, P4 the second after getting punted twice. Third race was a disconnect (server died?). Running the mustang at Laguna is pretty fun and a consistent so far for me. Qualifying time is still trash 1:24.0xx but I got the boot before I could take another real try at it. I did manager to finally get SR S tho, I hope that stays.
