Your bulli****ting right?I do that with mine too - lasts for about 6 months until it needs doing again. Nice easy fix, and sorts the problem out fine.

Always default ABS. Leave BB at 0 and focus on technique rather than trying to fix technique with BB!
Entry oversteer probably means you’re braking a bit too late.. front tyres slide because they can’t turn and brake, then when they eventually do grip it pulls the front in and the back slides.
Brake a bit earlier and focus on exit speed. Particularly important to come off the brakes smoothly. Sudden release of brake pressure unsettled the car.
Not sure if you’re on a wheel or pad. The supra will be tricky on a pad!
Thanks for taking the time to help out.Good advice all around. It seems the game has always prioritized driving behaviors like slow-in/fast-out and limited inputs to not overload the car, with combined braking and turning, for example. I noticed that Lewis Hamilton made a remark in his challenge videos, that he is careful to complete his braking without steering input where he can... not an accident that this 'hint' was included in the edited final video if you ask me! The game will not reward 'hustling' a car, as some can in real life, as the tire model is not sophisticated enough. That's where it departs from being a real 'sim'. It's more about working within a defined window on the controls. The more you can 'round off' your throttle/brake inputs, the faster you can be. Overlapping them a bit can help, but when you add steering, it gets that much harder. Read about the 'traction circle'. And think about getting to the throttle, on a curved shape, not on/off, as or just before you reach the apex, and the times will start dropping quickly. The Race C at Tokyo was a great place to practice it... ease out of the throttle, turn, let the tires work, then apply throttle, from half-throttle mid-turn to full throttle on the apex (before really, since it was a race car with a tuned differential) and you can see how the speed can be added, instead of the turn slowing you down.
Yeah the G29 brake pedals work way better if you baby them a bit. Just slamming them lights up the ABS and takes away stopping power. It took me awhile to figure out why I had to brake so much earlier than everyone else. My lap times have improved quite a bit since I've figured it out.
I'm going to order that load cell mod eventually. I've been doing really well recently without it, though.
No, why?Your bulli****ting right?
Idk. Thinking that the oil will pick up more debris on the sensors. It just felt like maybe a little trolling was going on.No, why?
This is where I'm losing a lot of time then, I always go straight down on the brake pedal to get full brakes quickly. But if being gentle is much faster, then I've got some learning to do.
I would think the WD-40 would for sure pick up more debris.Idk. Thinking that the oil will pick up more debris on the sensors. It just felt like maybe a little trolling was going on.
ill stick with compressed air in a can for now.
But if it works, it works.
Any general maintenance besides keeping “clean”?I would think the WD-40 would for sure pick up more debris.
Lithium Grease would work better IMO.
I’ve had my G29 for 16 months and no issues with inputs looking at the axc mod when I go out of warranty.
I don’t wear shoes when “driving,” just socks.Any general maintenance besides keeping “clean”?
Dreams DO come true!!!it's the Supra '19!!! .
You take those words back, mister!Sooo, the Supra is a piece of Junk.
Question: Why don’t modern sports cars have more downforce?
I bought a couple of inexpensive microfiber pillow cases to throw over the wheel and pedals when not in use... I assume the regular dust when not being used is as damaging as anything that happens when you do use it. I also only drive in socks, and every other week I vacuum out around the rig base and pedals.Any general maintenance besides keeping “clean”?
Another thing that bugs me about this game is the downshifting to rotate the car. I'm not sure it happens in real life, but I see so many fast drivers drop from 3rd to 2nd right at the apex, then back to 3rd to accelerate out of the turn. That's where brake bias should be working to rotate the car, not some whacky engine braking. If it's a 3rd gear turn, stay in 3rd gear. It's something I hate having to experiment with because I'd never do it on the track in real life. The game will not reward 'hustling' a car, as some can in real life, as the tire model is not sophisticated enough. It's almost never beneficial to run more laps on hards than mediums or softs. The compound relates to grip, not life of the tire. Well maybe it relates to life of the tire, but that doesn't come into play for these short races where it's more important to get that extra second or two out of the softer tires for two laps than it is to have better wear for the laps you won't be running on any tire set. Also which strategy you find fastest on race C ?
- starting on Mediums for 3 laps then 5 on Hards
- starting on Mediums for 3 laps, then 3 on Hards and 2 on Mediums ?
I started without a QT, as this is not a good track for me - started in the RCZ on hards, which I ran for 5 laps, then switched to mediums. Started 20th, finished 6th - couldn't believe how much some people were struggling with their tyres!Set a slow QT for race C to get a feel for the opposition. Started P20 in the Mustang, forgot to swap to hards so started on mediums, its hard on tyres around Kyoto, only got 3 laps on them before I switched. Will be trying other cars during the week. Fun race, finished P17 mainly due to people quitting. Wasn't pushing I'm here for fun, at the minute
Reference ABS, I have always had mine set to weak as I thought it's less intrusive and I can stop in a shorter distance. Am I wrong ?
It is, agile and easy to change your line, while still fast. If you focus on slow-in, fast-out it works great even on the straight.Beetles were 1st, 2nd and 3rd - looks to be a good car for the race.
...LOL, I've thought of that. Even if it was as effective in real life (should I say... as predictable and consistent as it is in the game, because sure, it can 'work')... you'd be so hard on the equipment that teams would fire you or your own car would need rebuilt so often you'd be bankrupt. I've considered that we're lucky there is no wear and tear, with the bad habits that you rely on in GT!Another thing that bugs me about this game is the downshifting to rotate the car.
