I decided to bite the bullet and do a quick Daily Race C. Since we're on Nurb GP, I was anticipating Punt City on Turn 1, but luckily, that didn't happen to me!

.. I ended up overshooting the turn a bit. :dunce: I forgot that the TS050 with fuel and cold tires makes it feel a lot different than on Time Trial.

In other words: brake a bit earlier for the first lap or 2. I was able to get my groove a few laps in.

The hybrid charge will also play a big role in the race, so battery management will be a must, especially if you want to prevent yourself from being easily overtaken at a high speed section.

And be careful at the final chicane. Entering too aggressively/timing your throttle wrong can lead to you binning it.

E: I had my brake balance at +2 and +3. The TS050 does initiate some oversteer on +3 at turn 1, so you want to be a bit more careful about how you approach that turn if you're on +3.

I still think the penalty system is stupid, so I'm noping out of here before an SR reset happens.

I've just tried race C, fuel and tyres are not a problem it's flat out from start to finish but the Toyota's still have a big advantage through the hybrid harvesting. The Porsche is struggling after a couple of laps (running at BB+4) whilst the Toyota has boost all race, the R18 I wouldn't bother trying, its usually a lot worse on the hybrid and twitchy on the limit.

What cars are EMEA top 10 using? Here in NA, we have eight TS050, and two R18.

Proof about the Porsche. I just ran the 787B(another player, two cars ahead did the same) from 17/18(LM55 behind me). I was letting the LM55 go ahead, but that player was stuggling.

Anyway, a 919 goes off. I'm behind it and we catch up to the other 787B. 919 passes. I pass the 787B after the start of Lap3. Form there, the 919 only got 5 seconds ahead by half distance. I set 47 seconds all lap. Going faster each lap. My FL was on Lap 9. I didnt cross the line before time ran out. The 919 didn't pull away, staying 2.5 seconds ahead the rest of the race, after half distance. 787B is fun. Cockpit view is the best. Plus, no need for HUD not tyre or fuel concerns.

Trying the LM55 next.

I'd actually never driven the Porsche before and only recently got it so gave it a go. Managed a 40.8 though there was a couple of tenths in there but it's difficult to put a full lap together

Rotary power this week.

The player in 11th, usually races clean, but maybe had a bad day. Was behind me with a penalty and on the back straight, bumps me on my right hand rear. I side bump 'em and into the chicane entry. Was behind me and had to serve penalties. It caught up as the car ahead of me was stuggling and slowing me down - The R18 was crazy quick, but went off at the back esses.
11th was playing nice behind me, waiting for a clean opportunity.👍 I was giving him an opening in a couple corners, but he waited. After T1, I went more wide and he took it.

Final lap, he was trying to pass a car ahead(I think it was the 13th placed player), but got squeezed. Recovered and heading into the final chicane, the other car went off. 11th got 4 seconds for no contact.

LM55 was just circling on a couple 45 second laps and all 46s in traffic. Is okay in the corners, but the hybrids just bolt. I like the 787B. At least it's louder and has a higher top speed. Just a second slower in traffic.

I might have already spent 1 or 3 hours trying to get the best time possible on Race C out of myself and the TS050. I was on the road to a 1:40.2 when I got excited and turned in a bit too early on the final turn. Had to make some corrections to not hit the barrier, and lost two tenths out of that.

I might call it a day.... err, night.

So educate me on group 1 as I rarely run it given it's always LeMans and I cannot remember all the turns there plus i hate extreme fuel and tyre multipliers.

Are there any special buttons needed to control electric boost on some of the hybrids? How's it all work?

No extra buttons, that's only on the SF 19 (boost). The hybrids have a battery indicator that drains while accelerating giving you a boost, and regenerates a bit under braking. It's all automatic but you can try to make the battery last longer with your driving style, or use it make fuel last longer (accelerating in a higher gear, early shift, battery still helps)

Oh man, tried to set a lap with the Toyota and managed a 1:41.5 after some laps. Then I decided to try the Peugeot and after much suffering I got a 1:42.9. Did a race with it to see how the car would fare and it's not good haha. The Toyota acceleration is just insane, and I was barely gaining some time at the mini straight before the last chicane. I think I was losing ~1.5s per lap. Started 1st and finished 4th.
