Race C was good. A+/A/S. I started 5th(1:47.511) behind four GT-R '16s. Finiushed 6th with a fellow RC F behind me.

Did 4RS/2RM/4RS. Pole won ahead of me by 8 seconds on a 5RS/5RM. So, not much time lost. I was slightly held up by the GT-R on RMs ahead of me. The RMs are slippery. Guess the optimum strategy will depend on what your room looks like. First race, but the RC F is competitive. Stay in the tow and GT-Rs behind can't do much.

C, no Q. Did 2M, 4S, 4S. Started p17, finished p8. Pretty uneventful race accept from all the people that doesn't understand what a pit exit lane is....
Coming out of the pit and pulling straight on to the racing line so the oncoming traffic down the straight has to take evasive action.
I really hope that PD adds a penalty for crossing that line!

Took the Yeetle for a few rounds at Alsace. That place is claiming victims left right and center. Apparently the VW is one of the cars high on the list for this matchup. Just got to figure out how to smooth that last chicane. Been watching plenty of people just clip the wheels on the grass and go for a wild ride, or put the power down with a wheel on the curb. I got caught out exiting the big bowl right hander and took a slide down the railing, got a penalty and ended up losing a spot for that.

I like that track, but it is really punishing people since the best lines have you exactly at the edge of the track. There's a few good passing spots, but a bit of follow the leader sections as well. So far so good and clean. Some minor bumping, but not in a dirty or mean way, just close racing.

Lots of cars seem to have a good run there as well. Vantage, WRX, Beetle, Supra, and others getting a good showing. 👍
Might have to see how Tsukuba is looking tomorrow.

I'm done for the week. Two Race B. 'twas okay, but I'm ready for the next lot of Daily races tomorrow. Can't wait to see what PD cook up next.
I'm kind of feeling like that too. I like the ideas of the combos but not enthused about racing them a lot. All it is going to take is one pass anywhere johnny and race A and B will be total carnage. Gordini Time Trial anyone?

Yeah, I was in a race where an RSR busted up the inside to push people out the way. Hit me on my right rear into the car ahead and also pushed another car out the way at the end of the race.

Don't start 20th on race C, the glitch which starts you half a lap back under the bridge still exists.

They did get rid of it, it must have come back. :banghead:

I'd just say avoid Race C full stop, well at least for now. See video below.

First driver is just pathetic, blocks and then acts a 🤬 because they got a penalty for it, avoid them at all costs.

Next two probably don't happen if they knew I was on Softs compared to their Mediums, can't believe that is still not in the game. Of course they got no penalty too. :irked:

I finished P4 only for that race. It was fun being able to overtake in the 130R on the last lap of the race to grab P4 which I'm satisfied for it. I went for a different tire strategy where I pit in late.

I accidentally punted the guy and I apologized afterwards. Still a fun race especially catching up to the guy in the last lap to nab P4.

I don't know, man. You need to look at your own behaviour on track too before you start slinging mud.

First incident: why are you following behind them when they're going for the inside line through Spoon? There's lots of room on the right on the actual racing line, and they're not moving under braking so what's your beef here? Sure he's immature afterwards and blocks you down the straight but you hit him first...

Second incident on the s/f straight: you sideswiped the greek driver first. Sure he overreacts and shouldn't push you off track but again you hit him first

Third incident you're absolutely correct, he forces you off track in the exit of the chicane without you do anything first. I'm totally with you on this.

Fourth: what's the problem? It's hard to tell from the replay but it looks like you punt him in the hairpin, but even if you didn't he doesn't hit you when he dives through in Spoon afterwards and the touch in 130R looks like a race incident to me. He couldn't quite make the corner but you're also closing the door on him fairly aggressively.

So, everyone else's driving is a problem but you should be able to do what you want?

Having raced the Greek driver. I'm not even slightly surprised. He's ruined a good few races I've been in.

I'm generally pretty slow around Suzuka, so I'd probably be stuck in the pack.

That last move. Incredibly brave going round the outside there, almost had it nailed too. Would be interesting to see if he actually steered in to you, or lost control when he went over the grass and caused the incident.

Whats your quali time? You're generally one of the quickest drivers. Be interesting to see if I can get within a second of your time.

EDIT: Seen it.. on my friends list. Definitely not getting near that time lol

Daily Race C is a complete ********. I love Suzuka, but driving the Super GT cars around there, especially on the soft compound, feels wholly uncompelling. Strategy feels non-existent because there's no advantage to staying on mediums the whole race. Back to ACC, it seems!

I don't know why you think I am mud slinging but anyway I know I'm not totally clean at times but when starting from the back all the time, that will be the case for most drivers out there. I know and accept that this choice means a much higher chance of aviodable incidents like those happening, I don't know why you just decided that I don't think I share some blame in the incidents though or could have avoided them at the very least but that's fine if you want to believe that.

In the first incident I was in between two cars so the sensible place for me to go was the inside, in the race it felt like I moved first and they blocked but looking at it again maybe it was just unfortunate that the driver in front did the same thing I did at almost the same time, I can't predict what they were going to do there. I also did not hand out the harsh penalty which probably did provoke them, GtSport did and this rubbish can happen to anyone you just have to accept it if you continue to race. Afterwards though there is no excuse for what they did and it is probably a good indicator of what they'll do in future when they get penalties, regardless of whose fault it actually is.

The other two incidents were half and half fault mostly (some my fault, some theirs) and the end one was an accident which happens sometimes but I bet none of them happen if GtSport showed the other drivers that I was on Soft tyres to their Mediums, as they probably don't fight so much then but who knows. This is important information though and it should be available, it has been absent from the in-race screen for far too long now.

You have no idea what compound the other drivers are on in real racing, apart from looking at their driving. I think it should be the same in game, as it is now.

Yes they lost control on the grass, it was an accident.

Think I could probably go 2/3 tenths faster but kept messing up so gave up.

Don't agree, in real racing, mostly you will have teams to relay this info to the driver and that is obviously not possible in a game so info like this should be shown on the screen by default, as the time gaps and pitting info is.

correct in real racing especially F1 and indy car every team knows what tire every driver is on. I mean just listen to the radio commination during an F1 race

In some types of racing you have full insight into what other teams are doing (e.g. Formula 1), in others you have very little or no insight meaning the only thing you can know for sure is when they pitted for new tyres.

It's also trivial to solve for a game if you wanted some sort of team interaction. Games were doing it 20 years ago for crying out loud with spotter functionality and communicating with the pit crew. Depends on how realistic you want the game to be.

They changed the conditions? Looks bright in one clip and low sun in the other.

No surrender :p!

Not the fastest time, but a few tips that I hope are helpful at Suzuka this week!

1-stop and 2-stop both seem to be viable strategies with comparable total times, take your pick.
