C: St Croix C II, 6 laps, Gr. 2 (x5 tyres, potentially soft and medium req'd)
Oh My God Wow GIF

Thanks! The first thing I actually did after getting GT Sport was turn on the cones. Really a game changer since now I no longer rely on the racing line like I did in Forza. I’ll try today to brake at the 175 board. I had been braking at the double cone but noticed in the race I often lost time there to the people in front.
There's really no good way to describe a good way to do the final turn at Big Willow... or ANY turn at Big Willow, for that matter. It's dependent on not just the car and your driving style, but also confidence. Once it becomes natural and comfortable to enter the corner every time consistently, then it is time to plan your EXIT. The final turn exit is arguably the single most important part of Big Willow in a race. Learn to protect and attack at the same time. Guaranteeing yourself a decent exit is key.

Qualifying well is not hard... just remember, your qualifying line often won't work in the race.

Chaos visits any turn at Big Willow frequently. Be ready for it.

Technically, there is no 175 board. The cones are about halfway between the 200 & 150 boards. The key is brake at the cones, get off the brakes at the 150, & ride the momentum until you feel the front tires grip & turn the car toward the exit. As also mentioned, the more laps you turn, the more confidence you build. Willow is certainly a confidence track.
Frustration abounds.
While following @NoStopN's sage advice to stay on the island I find that timely punts mean I'm spending more time on the beach 🏖
Well, I think my only advice was to help with qualifying. The only in-race advice would be to choose a helicopter instead of a car.

Did Willow for about 3 hours today. Started the day with DR D SR B and ended with DR C SR S. Enjoying Big Willow a lot. It bites but is very satisfying to get right. Almost got my first win but had to deal with some very aggressive people. Got my qualifying down to a 1:12.2 in the 911 RSR. Absolutely loving GT Sport so far.

3o'clock Monday morning. I never did so many online races as in this week.(maybe 20 over all)
big willow was a blast, unfortunately I just recognised yesterday morning, that the Lexus (Emil Frey racing), both amg's and both big BMW's (m3/m6) , are my own meta there. Anyway, the top quali times of 1:06xxx are unbelievable fast and if I follow those ghosts in quali, it's impossible to stick to them. I am already considering, that any car will 'behave' better , if the user has a high rank a/a+/s. it is so rare to have an b or worse driver in the top ten. well, I guess you figured me out already, I'm making up excuses , to feel better. But to sum it up, it was fun and some races really exciting, even though I was punted really badly in too many races.

Race A will be hard with Aston Martin, a car not easy to handle on thatv track. Race B and C will provide a lot of fun for the drivers. After many years that GT sport is out the servers are anytime full of people.

a constant 3:19:xxx in race C brought me a 2nd place. I started without qualifying from place 15 in the Autech gt-r '16. 4 racers didn't stop at the pits, so they received the penalty and I was rewarded with the podium. Happy :-)
by the way, I also used the Lexus '16(the newer one) even though it felt slower, especially on the straights, my laptime improved 1 second. Thanks to my dog, I only finished 9th ,started 17th. In this race everyone went to the pits. I just lost 3 places in the last lap, because my dog put his paw right on the PS button on my controller and It got disconnected. dogs are not the best 'shotgun rider', I assume.
I tried a qualify lap in the newer Honda Nsx and it felt like I'm always on the edge of spinning. TCS at 2. lost control and my nerves at the long left-hander before the bridge, which is entered with topspeed. I will try the older Lexus'08 next. I like this one the most, so smooth, no turbo lag.

I`m excited to do some dailies again. Bathurst will be my favoured . What are your car recommendations
I used the WRX last time around but it is all exit and gets swallowed on conrod. Otherwise the Scirocco will be strong and I think the Mustang goes ok as well.

Not sure what happened to the jag, it used to be strong but the last 6 months or so it's pretty flaccid.

Race C is such a good combo. I feel quite comfortable. Got my time down to a 3:09 but I'm sure there is an 8 in there somewhere.
The only thing I need to do is stop making a mistake on the first lap which tumbles me down the order.
4 laps on the softs is easy.
Unfortunately I passed this guy when they came out of the pits. They can go faster in turn 1 than those of us that have to brake normally. The caught me in the next right and almost pitted me off. Luckily I held onto the slide but lost places and time to those I had previously cleared.

Spent the whole session doing a good quali lap time for Daily Race C and suffice to say I'm very much satisfied with the time I got.

Now I'm ready for racing tomorrow. Managed to get a high 3:04 which would be enough at least for me to get a good starting position for Daily Race C.
