The scirocco will be fast, seaside reverse is a mess, the esses are down hill and close up instead of open up, which is just daft. It's a garbage experience. You need agility and power, the vw is the best mix of both. The Ferrari will maybe be a decent choice but it's hard to drive (MR).
I have, got a warning myself for the F-word, also my previous teammate did. As said, I stand by my words, reporting system needs more effort put into it, is all, to investigate more driving related incidents.
That's not the reporting race incidents / illicit behavior button. Those do nothing.
But you can also report people for saying bad words in the chat and Sony will look at that. PD doesn't care about what happens in the race, the report button when you click on a drivers name does nothing.

Since there is a lot of time before the race starts, your best bet is to go to Time Trial mode, and try all of your Gr.4 cars, to see which one works best for you.
Someone else's top pick may not be one that you're compatible with.
Latest most hated thing as a new player: People on one bar connection/ red dot probably tethered to their phone, who jump randomly around the track flickering on an off (but not in the shadow realm) like in a quantum superposition of racing lines and you have to guess where they are to avoid... well I'm not sure, colliding with Heisenberg's uncertainty from Italy usually.
The lag you see from players with poor connections has actually improved a lot.

😆 that is amazing, i've not yet seen one that extreme, they've always stayed "on" the track, that clip above looks like something from a Christopher Nolan movie.

Ok, I understand then what you mean, that you report to a different instance, being Sony. But as said, I don't think a social vote system with likes and dislikes is the way to go either. In the end there is little you can do, if someone decides to be dirty, happens in ACC as well.. Maybe make it tougher to get into 80-99 SR?
Now, regarding my idea, just sounds so complex, all that math you do, regarding DR and all that 😅 I mean, to me just doing a 2nd account sounds easier. I respect that though.

Qualifying is one thing, but race-craft is quite another.
I just beat the guy who is currently #1 in the American region, on the track (I started at the back).
So, I'm walking around my apartment with my chest stuck out right now.
So I did crack on with another evening of racing today and much more successful. Interlagos feels much more comfortable now, seems to take me a week to each time to be happy with the track and then I have to start over again!
My successive rage quits yesterday tanked my SR - still S but must have been borderline as with S and A SR. Well my 31.4 time saw me start pole and it was a straightforward start to finish victory. Obviously a clean race and back up to the higher SR for a couple of races Started 8 and 9. Finished a few places up each time. Still loads of filth so I was backing off and let the carnage unfold in front and go through the inevitable causalities. Gave me a good view of some pretty shocking driving. Just glad I wasn’t the victim for once. Anyway, plugged away at my qualy and got it down to 31.2 and thought I’d be right up the front - 9th! Crazy fast room (for DR B) last place time was 31.7. This was the lowest quality room I’d raced all week. Mistakes all over the place, people just can’t take their medicine when they mess up and will do anything to not be overtaken or to take their place back. Another thing that happened a few times was people taking penalties right on the racing line which caused loads of problems when they unghosted right on that tricky left hander. Not sure what the etiquette is but it was messy.
Next race started 4th, 2nd place took senna sloppily and wasn’t happy that third tried to overtake so rammed him off which got me into second, I stayed there for the whole race about 2 seconds off first for 5 laps, inexplicably he messed up the very last corner and also got a 1.5s penalty for his troubles which gifted me 1st! Two wins for the day and im pretty chuffed with that. Now onto practising seaside 2 gr4 for next week.

I seem to get on well with the RCZ gr3. it slides about all over the place but I like the way it turns in and can ge the power down. Is there a gr4 equivalent handling wise i could start with?
Just had an awesome race in the SLS at Interlagos. Q7, managed to put it in the right place and capitalise on other's mistakes on the opening lap and found myself in 4th by the time we got to the twisty bit. Held on and had a great battle with a hilariously named Cpt Long Slong... ended up taking 3rd by 0.103s!
Followed by a mediocre race and then a shocker where I ended up 15/16 on the first lap and had to abandon the race halfway when my son woke up screaming upstairs. 🤦 Now back down below where I started the night on DR....

I was going to give advice on this, but....I thought it was DT Gardens II. I am probably happier being reminded that it's Seaside II. Considering it's a sprint race with no pit stop, the FF cars will be out in force. But, a properly wheeled RWD car will give them fits.
At Gardens II (when I read the track wrong), the WRX was the sleeper for qualifying & I won a race in it. As for Seaside II, as I mentioned, I like the RWD cars. I like them everywhere, they're just my choice. Since you have only 1 Gr. 4 car, I'd recommend taking @sturk0167's advice. Practice with the offline modes in the game to pick up other free cars (some are Gr. 4) & money to buy what you think will be the best option or what you want. One trick will be to check out the top 10 times on Monday to see what other drivers are using. True, the car they use may not be the best for you, but it allows you to have a solid answer as to what car to get. Asking our opinions is just that: our opinion based upon our experience. Perfect example, nobody ever says the Mustang is a good choice for a car that can win. But late last year, this track came up with Gr. 3 cars & I had a great time winning in it.

It's interesting to get a more casual view on GT Sport through Reddit. The problem, they represent the make up of the average sport mode driver a lot more than the people on here. We're in the minority.
Side by side can work through there, have done it all the way to the pit lane. But in this case (and plenty others) he simply didn't have position and wasn't going to make the corner from that side at top speed. So it was either brake late for him and lose lots of time, or use me to make the corner.
Plenty toxic on the track. A new dirtiest driver has taken the top spot, crashing everyone on the track. And guess what, he (and the winner who escaped) were the only ones with blue S after the race. Actually the winner crashed him by fighting back so I could squeeze past not having to deal with him. I bump drafted the leader to stay ahead, cost me SR, but 2nd place good enough. Just minor loss (to 74), there were a lot of red Bs in that room.
I saved the replay, wish there was a report upload replay to PD option. I think I have another one saved from this individual. Met him before and probably will again. Another fast dirty driver just there to cause trouble.

Watch out for this driver, he has mastered manipulating the penalty system or what's left of it.
Yes I hear ya, but just saying that those Porsche curves can be tricky, I was side by side with an Italian, he was maybe like 1/3 car length ahead. I really tried to stay on the inside, but just understeered to the middle of the track and touched him. And Italian went to the sand just barely, but made him spin. He would have been fine, if he used just a bit more of an outside line, and I should have tried even harder to stay on the inside. It happens, that's racing. Been on the wrong end myself many times too on the outside line.
What you are writing about is not racing really and I've had run-ins with two famous dirty drivers. Possibly you know, which I mean, one likes to race in emea and americas both, 12th letter in alphabet starts his username. The other has the first part of his username taken of a famous F1 world champion, the champion is from the same country I am from.

I just tried the 650S, WRX, and GT-R. The 650S I ran a 1:49.3, WRX a 1:48.4, the GT-R a 1:48:2. I know people don't like the GT-R but I get along with it well and find it always has the legs on tracks like this.

I really want to like the Gr. 4 GT-R, but after some issues with front end grip early in my time playing the game, I gave up on it. After 3 years with the game, I could likely get adjusted enough to call it competitive, but I've already spent time in other cars & taken a liking to them.
Another race with the wild bunch sends my SR plunging back to E, even while my DR went up!
I haven't been able to race all day until now due to a crisis at work. I'm mostly retired; just work part time from home. But when the servers I oversee act up I get to spend more time working than racing. Oh, well, working pays much better than racing! 💰💰💰

After several rounds of getting stuck on the 44 wall I finally managed to crack it this time. Just barely, buy after struggling for ages to get there I will take it. In qualifying try an earlier brake, later apex but higher overall speed on that final corner. That and nailing the chicane line got it for me.
Really good fun today on Race C. From the back with @Sven Jurgens and a TPC member (can't remember the name atm) saw us climb back FROM Dr. C-D player. It was a stressfull first two lap. Speed difference was huge.
