I´m playing the DMC3 Trial disc, its japanese but you can change it to english. I just got the game yesterday, and played for about 15min, so I can´t say too much about it. But as soon as I play some more I´ll put my impressions of this demo here.

Did you play DMC 1 too? I personally think it is more challenging and fun... (I played a little bit of 1 & 2, 2 is easier and the map isn't as interesting as 1)

But..... Then 3s coming out with all kinds of new options!

2 is defintly a lot easier than 1. So far 3 looks great. Too bad it's not multiplayer...

Hiya! :D :O  Meow! (='.'=)

Good thing Devil May Cry 3 looks like it will surpass ALL the mistakes made from Devil May Cry 2 (hopefully) :O The trailer is very VERY awesome as now the area is in a closer area rather than DMC2's LARGE area.... I only get to played the demo of Devil May Cry 3 at a small gaming place called Gameplay, not GAMESTOP!
I really like the new gameplay of DMC3 except I just wished Dante have a better costume than having no shirt, wearing dark brownish pants and his red trench coat thingy! :O
And I wish Trish can come back :( :O:O

I just barely bought DMC2 and so far loving it. I do agree though it is somewhat on the easy side. They should add 480p capability and dolby digital or DPLII. :)

Off topic----I beat DMC2 in 3 and a half hours of gameplay. Very very short game but excellent to say the least. The last boss is just incredible looking. 👍

You should try Devil May Cry.(the first one) DMC2 fails in comparison to the first one. Even critics and the fans such as me think so. DMC1 will offer a further level of defficulty such as "Dante Must Die" :( :O DMC1 is also different to 2 because the fights are more CLOSE-QUARTERS unlike DMC2 where you can stand afar and just shoot....

I will take your advice and try it out. I liked DMC2 a LOT so if you say DMC1 is better then I know I will like it. 👍

DMC1 is much better than DMC2. But you should just rent it and try to beat it on a weekend since DMC3 is coming out soon, and for what I have played in the Trial Disc it looks like it´s going to be the best of all.👍

I need to go pre-order it I loved the first one but since I broke my PS2 last year and finally got a new one at Christmas time I haven't played the second one im thinking of renting it.

Yeah, I got the Japan version about 3 weeks ago, but haven´t played much of it yet. I´m at mission 4 I think.

It´s pretty good, definately the best of the series. Some people are even saying that it´s better than Ninja Gaiden, but I don´t think so.

I've (well my brother) has jsut got Devil May Cry 3. I've just finished mission 5 and I think it's quite good. I'm playing on normal mode at the moment and it's quite hard, like the reviews say.

I don't think it beats Ninja Gaiden though. They are around the same difficulty to me, but in Ninja Gaiden it's harder to do combo's.

It's not a huge improvment over Devil May Cry 1, but is much better than the second (taking my brother word for that).

The only problem I've got with Devil May Cry 3 is it's story. It's quite stupid IMO. Some people just play the game, and some take in in the story as well. I'm afraid I'm the one who follows the story.

Overall I'd give this game 8/10. (GT4 11/10) :D

PS: In fact it's the first game that's ever hurt my wrist from hitting a button so fast. This never happens to me but I'm out of practice because GT4 needs no button bashing. :)

I just opened the game last night after spending too much time with GT4! :ouch: :O I am only on Mission 3 and find the game quite difficult already. I like how its better than DMC2 FOR SURE! 👍 One of my most favorite improvement of the game is the cinamatic! I love the action of the openning! :O

I finally got a chance to rent this and you are right. It is very hard. I am also stuck on level 3. That 3 headed dog at the end is extremely hard. I had his energy down to only 1/8 of left then he still killed me. I thought my thumb was going to fall off from shooting it soo much. :ouch: :)
Excellent game so far though. 👍

The American version is on Hard mode as a default. Good thing I have the Japanese one. :D

I just rented it today, and am completely in love with it already. I beat the first one and loved it, but never got a chance to play the second. Although with all the reviews I've heard saying it was a disappointment, I guess I didn't miss much. I will play through 3 and give everyone my thoughts when I'm done. So far I'm addicted.

Having bought the ultra-rare special edition about a week ago, all I can say is that it's the greatest game I've ever played, seriously!

The gameplay has improved beyond comparison, the graphics improved, and the storyline reigns supreme. Back when the original DMC was released, Resident Evil fans and the rest of the gaming nation were left speechless and wanting more. So soon after, Devil May Cry 2 was released.
Unfortunately, it failed to be as innovative as the original and left many fans disappointed. However, this all changed when the third installment of the DMC series was released, looking back on it's original and starting over.

Although one question still strikes me as to why this game is actually less difficult than the rest. It was seen as the 'most difficult DMC game to date' yet I fail to see the difference between the respective modes across the series. Maybe it's just because I've improved to the point where DMC is no longer a difficult series.

Nevertheless, I've played for several hours and have managed to progress with the easy mode completed and the 'normal' option left half-finished. So far, I've not completed a mission below a 'B' ranking and I hope to continue that.

But then again, I'm using the lightning-fast, evil brother of Dante; Vergil, so things may even become better once I play through with Dante.

*Bump* Just got to level 7000 on 'Bloody Palace' mode!

Took me a painstaking 1'31.18...
