Drag - Of course it's not MW2 standards, but when you pay doesn't make any difference, it's when you order that places you in the queue, though I don't think the position in the queue makes any difference. They're probably sending the DIRT 3 orders out Friday judging by the blurb on their DIRT 3 page, so most of it will all be done. I think they have something that if you don't get the game on release day with a pre-order you get £3 on your account (or something like that).

That's what I was looking for, I mean I'm thinking ahead for if I pre-order other games like Battlefield 3 and maybe MW3 when there is a very real possibility that orders will be massive and stocks might not last (though they should be aware of this high order and compensate with production accordingly, you never know it just takes a couple of shipments to stop the whole process). I know with Dirt 3 it will not be to that kind of monumental volume so I will be fine.

If my copy comes earlier I'll just crack on with the SP in preparation for our release day monster session.
 
@TheStig13, thanks for posting up those films! How do you get youtube links to work? I havent had any luck with the times I've tried. Is there a FAQ describing it?

Fired Up! Once I saw official support for T500RS wheel (on Codemasters site), I pre-ordered from Amazon.com. This will be my first Dirt series game.

Oh yeah they've actually confirmed it interviews months ago. Honestly, I still wasn't interested tho until I saw ISR review Dirt 2. After seeing how nice that game looked I got pumped for Dirt 3. Very awesome it will be here in less thanka week :dopey:
 
I work at Best Buy and we got our copies in today!! Its so pretty haha Cant wait to play it. Pre-orders at Best Buy work how you guys have stated, only we have a list of pre-orders and peoples names get put on the correct item.

I'm hoping ShopTo will send them out on tomorrow so there's a very small chance it'll turn up on Saturday. In fact I've just had an email from them advising my account has been charged and it'll be shipped shortly...unfortunately when I try to log onto my account to put my mobile number in to get a SMS to say when it's been sent I find out my account has been disabled! :odd:

Guess I need to phone them tomorrow.

I already don't like ShopTo for not letting me register my card, and indeed account, then when I autofilled the same details back in 3 attempts later it worked fine :lol:. I got my email to a couple hours ago so hoping for Monday at the latest 👍.

I tried to add my mobile for SMS'ing purposes, it didn't work. There may be problems with their systems at times, but they are rarely beaten on price and delivery. Those Group B's do look awesome.

That's reassuring but it wouldn't let me log in even after resetting my password and said contact an admin! Still they've emailed me so I guess this order is ok.
 
Bit of a let down with only 90 sec stages. Suppose that's the price for nice graphics.

How come games can feature the Nurb (a glorified rally stage but a big one) but this engine can only hit 90 sec courses.

Wish they would just concentrate on a pure rally experience.

Worked fine for me, the only thing that did, but I just realised I can't change my delivery address to uni, can't cancel my order til tomorrow after my exam and generally hate ShopTo even more now! So much more awkward than Amazon, I'm going to miss the all nighter most certainly now but I'm not sure if I'll cancel my order on ShopTo and buy elsewhere or just wait til I go home (and cancel my ShopTo account as soon as I can most likely either way!). It's been problem after problem for me with them since the moment I clicked sign up, thoroughly dissatisfied customer 👎.

I would just prefer a more pure rally experience by codies.

Ring them and ask if you can change the delivery address then and there. Mention you've been having loads of problems, etc.

Of course I could be mean and say you should have had your uni address as delivery address when you set it up. Or is there some other issue that you can't change your delivery address?

It has to be the credit card address, hence the problem my card and bank and stuff is obviously related to home and therein lies the problem. ShopTo necessitate that your first 2 orders go to that address, is it worth phoning and trying to get them to send it here anyway? I would email them but we all know how quick email replies are from customer service departments :lol:, you can't ignore me screaming down the phone unsuspecting innocent customer service employee! I could pull out the I'll take my custom elsewhere card as well perhaps.

Well it will be interesting nonetheless, the last Sony guy I spoke to I think was ready to cry I drove him so far round the bend :lol:.
 
I did my account using their Facebook thing on their website. Paid with paypal and got an email from them a few hours back. Didn't read it though cause it took ages to load on phone with no 3G :indiff:
If it cones on Monday there is no chance of me passing business lol. Race On just came in the post today as well :irked:

The two packs for GRID cost around $8 (8 cars) and $12 (1 track and 10 cars) on PSN, so I'd guess around the same for Dirt's DLC (depending on what's included in each pack). Not sure whether pricing will be the same for PC though.
 
Wow. That's a pretty decent price. From what I've heard about DLC in the past, people whine as if it costs $50 for a DLC pack.

Apparently you unlock longer stages later on.
Not sure how much longer or at what stage though. Sure it's a disappointment but I'll get it regardless.

I've just phoned ShopTo (tel: 0800 779 7777) about my account being disabled and they were very helpful and sorted it straight away so I reckon they'll redirect your order, the girl sounded quite tidy so just turn the charm on if she needs convincing ;)
 
I will probably get flamed by posting this, but people looking for a more or just pure rally orientated game with longer stages on console really should take a look at WRC2010 or wait for the 2011 version. No, It doesn't have flashy menu's or graphics, but It has 3-5 min. stages based on real life WRC stages, nice handling and a very good on line mode. I understand why people would want Dirt3, I will probably get It too, but to get that ColinMcRae feeling back WRC2010 is a very good choice.
