Wow. That's a pretty decent price. From what I've heard about DLC in the past, people whine as if it costs $50 for a DLC pack.

It mainly depends on the game publisher; Codemasters' DLC tends to be fairly priced where as EA charges like a wounded bull, if I recall correctly a 3 car pack for Hot Pursuit costs $12.95, with each car costing $4.95 separately.

Back on the topic of Dirt 3, here's Team VVV's 8th preview video, this time showcasing a rallycross race on the maximum difficulty settings.

I did my account using their Facebook thing on their website. Paid with paypal and got an email from them a few hours back. Didn't read it though cause it took ages to load on phone with no 3G :indiff:

Unfortunately, whilst I was sit (decimating) my exam this morning I got the text to, though my phone was obviously not on me! So it's going home now and there's no way I can stop it. Never mind I guess, gives you guys a headstart I guess :sly:.

:lol:, you probably didn't claim that your teacher would weep tears out of his penis at how good one of your essay questions was either. Things change.

I'm not to annoyed it's going home really now I think about it, I'm just annoyed how awkward the whole process has been with the site but I'll give them at least one more go before I rage quit. Gives me some time to play more Crysis MP, more GT online (which I really should have done more of!) and maybe the store compensation games to.

I will probably get flamed by posting this, but people looking for a more or just pure rally orientated game with longer stages on console really should take a look at WRC2010 or wait for the 2011 version. No, It doesn't have flashy menu's or graphics, but It has 3-5 min. stages based on real life WRC stages, nice handling and a very good on line mode. I understand why people would want Dirt3, I will probably get It too, but to get that ColinMcRae feeling back WRC2010 is a very good choice.

I've never done that either. Although seeing as the only essays I have ever written have been English essays, you can cut me some slack. :D

Seems to be the general consensus. I've seen some 94/100s and 95/100s, though there's no real complaints that might rob the game of five or six marks.

"These words may not be as new as some may think. The OED found that OMG was first used in 1917, in a personal letter. LOL has been around since 1960, but it meant something quite different, with the letters standing for Little Old Lady."

If the DLC is good content, then I have no issue with it. But it has to be worth it. I think you've only got to look at the attraction some of these Group B's are pulling, more of them, then fantastic.

Yeah, I certainly don't think it's a big deal as I am pretty good at ignoring advertisements. I remain very excited about playing this game and at this time have no regrets with my Amazon.com preorder (which comes with free DLC ).

One thing is for sure: there will be no demo on PS3 until the playstation store is back online (I have seen unsubstantiated rumors on the net about a May 24th launch date).

Dirt 3 has respectable 87 score from Metacritic in early going after 12 reviews.

That is very nice.

The problem with most general gaming sites is that they never use a wheel.
Or if they do they never mention it.

Eurogamer have a first 15 minute video that honestly if you never new better you wouldn't even bother renting.

The settings are set to easiest. Driver uses chase cam. The physics look horrible because of the aids he's using.
I really don't think there qualified to judge niche titles.
At least bring in specialised reviewers to rate these games. (it got a 9/10).

I saw the first look by ISR, they mention great FF and good control.
Some people are not fussed by these guys but I find them to be the most useful when trying to gauge new titles.

Only problem with them is that they tend to platinum the game before giving a review.

Expect a review off them in 4 months lol.

I'm buying anyhow lol.
 
Looks like the soundtrack list isn't that good (well considering Dirt 2 had the 3rd best soundtrack in a racing game after GT1 and Hot pursuit 2 )I am not surprised .SOmeone needs to start a Dirt 3 league .

I'll get my copy from Asda on release day. They always seem to have brand new games in stock, plus they're usually cheaper than they are in GAME or Gamestation.
