which exhast? they sound differant... i personally like the Sport exhast- read its disciption... the car does sound meatier

Gday mate,
You need to try out a few more V8's as there is a lot of variation in them.
The M3 GTR (if you can get it from the UCD) is pure heaven under 4000rpm and really screams up high.

Actually most of the V8's in the game as in real life will be very high pitched and 'scream' when your up in the higher rev range, it wont be like when the V8s are just burbling around the neighbourhood. You also wont get that big bassy 'feeling' that comes from an exhaust without a decent surround sound setup, even then its no where like real life.

P.S You should use the edit button rather than double post, it'll get you into trouble with the mods.

The 2003 Audi S4 has one of the best V8 sounds in the game IMO. I usually drive it just to hear its melody. :)

I think the OP means they sound the same when you ugrade the exhaust. I've noticed my '07 Mustang Gt, Maserati Gran Turismo, and a few other V8s sound the same with certain exhaust mods.

The challenger SRT8 sounds wrong and the C63 and SLS have are too raspy. All stock exhaust. The Z06 and M3 though sound pretty accurate.

Some sound phenomenal (Trans Cammer) Others sound totally opposite (Ram Laramie)

This guy knows whats up.

Cuda (Trans Cammer) Vs Cougar (Laramie/Z06/ZR1/Challenger)

:(

why cant they just give big ass v8 sounds for all of em instead of making some sound like crap

also, the 2003 Audi S4 has a V6 Im pretty sure. On top of that, the 98 Audi S4 is definately better :)

Nope, the 2003 Audi S4 (B6) is a 4.2L V8 and the 1998 Audi S4 (B5) is a 2.7L V6 biturbo. But, I agree that the B5 ('98) is better/sounds nicer IRL, it has more potential as well.

Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR. It has incredible sound, with all its parts installed (race exhaust and level3 engine upgrade), this car sounds like its still idling at 8000 RPM.

Ah sorry about that, I just assumed because in game the 98 is able to make more power and I know that it is a smallish v6.

I have the 03 as well just never looked! thanks!

No problem, simple mistake. I only know about these cars because I have friends who have these Audi's and I was into the VW/Audi scene before switching over to Bimmers. :p

I actually still kind of want a B5 S4 so I can Stage 3 it, but they have loads of problems, especially the control arms and 1st & 2nd gears.

if you think v-8s suck soundwise in general in the game then DO NOT listen to the '00 SS Camaro and the Camaro LM car, both will make you want to puke :D

i was gonna say the same thing! sounds freakin sick!!! on manual put it in 6th and drive the car to hear the exhaust! even though it does have one of the biggest V10 engines!! (8.4l :O)

I found with the Corvettes using the semi-racing exhaust gives you that genuine straight pipe V8 sound. But yes i find its pretty much the same exhaust audio track from the Ford GT racing cars etc and anthing else with a bigger V8. The exhaust sound from the C-5R and from the ZR1/Z06 RM sounds absolutely nothing like a V8. And to mention the racing versions of the Viper GTS (Oreca etc.) is this same V8 track. Sounds nothing like a open exhausted/racing Viper V10. They should have cribbed the sound from the GT2 Oreca Viper!

A stock 1970 Dodge Challenger has a note thats 'deeper than Atlantis' when idling.. I have noticed different sounds and notes, set camera angle at rear and the Ford GT sounds like a Monster and same can be said for the Vipers. The Vettes sound different however when fully tuned, not grumpy at all.

the Challenger RM, like this guy said. And try a Mark IV in the very low revs.
or the GT LM with gulf livery in low revs. sounds like thunder

I agree, when talking race cars:
Ford Mark IV Race Car = Grumpiest Car on the Game
Also, the GT LM (gulf livery) is one of my favs as it looks and sounds beastly!

The commodore and monaro sound angry as with a sports exhaust, throw that racing exhaust in the bin.

Vitzio It's hard to get 1030+ cars to sound different in their own individual way.

It takes 6 months to create a premium-car (don't know about standards), so they could at least take a few days to create a decent note for each car

<-GT5 Corvette C5R, 7.0 liter v8

<---Real life C5R, Go to 2:49

<-GT5 Corvette C6R 7.0 liter v8 :yuck:

<--- Real life 7.0 liter v8

<-GT5 Camaro LM 5.7 liter v8 :ouch:

<--- Real life 5.7 liter v8

Why doesn't anyone question this inaccuracy during the interviews? Too scared?
