DLC in GT5???

As there are some huge gaps in the rooster, I'd sure like some sweet DLC to fix that. I'd be happy to pay for it and I think DLCs are great for keeping the game alive.

...and the game is out much earlier than it would have been if the gaps would have to be filled before the initial release.

This rooster may have gaps in it, but you can't snuff it! :sly:
Back on topic, I'd get DLC for GT5, so long as it isn't day one, week one, or month one DLC, and making it doesn't cut into GT6's development or dilute whatever cars or features GT6 will have.

Ah, who am I kidding, GT6's development will be another clusterfrak, but 5 will keep me busy for a long, long time. I hope.

DLC cars:

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
Pagani Zonda F
Pagani Zonda Cinque
Audi RS4 B7
Audi A4 B8 DTM
Audi S4 B8
Audi S8 D4
Audi A8 W12
BMW 7 series
BMW M3 E30
Mercedes-Benz CLS Brabus Rocket
Mercedes-Benz Black Series 09/11
Mercedes-Benz E/S/C Class Sedans
SSC Ultimate Aero
McLaren F1 LM
Lamborghini Reventon
Koenigsegg CCX
Koenigsegg Agera
Koenigsegg CCR
Ferrari FXX
Askari A10
Askari KZ1
Ariel Atom
Cadillac CTS
Range Rover
Chevrolet Monte Carlo 1979

of course these cars must be PREMIUM.

I like the notion of the 79 Monte. A 69 Nova SS would be pretty cool too. I would really like to see some Firebirds or Trans Ams perferrably 1st and 2nd gen as well as some more Mercury products and some 50s American cars. Those big ole boats from the 50s may not make great race cars but they sure would be cool to have a few in the game.

I only have a few cars I'd really like to see... though we'll see how long this list will actually get.

Audi S4 B8
Audi TTRS
Audi A4 B8 DTM [R]
Audi R15 Plus [R]
BMW M3 E30

Chevrolet Corvette C6.R [R]

Do you want DLC in GT5? I don't. Well, not for track or cars but probably stuff like add on extra customization packages like rims, spoilers.

I give a BIG NO on what you want in GT5! If you want to be that ricer boy that you are and want customization, I suggest you play the NFS games. I can GUARANTEE Polyphony won't give the DLC that you want!!! It would ruin the GT name!!!!! The ONLY customization that I would want is performance and handling which I'm sure is already in the game. 15" or 16" lightweight wheels would be fine, but if they are any bigger(other than factory wheels), I disagree. And as for spoilers, they serve no purpose unless the car is built for speed/track use. If you just want to add a spoiler to any random car, that would look stupid. You should get more in detail about what you want.

All those that want body kits, that's a definite NO!!! You won't see a true racer with a body kit on his/her car. Maybe a front lip, but that's all. Or if it's a factory tuned version, that would be my only exception.

I'm fine with GT5 the way it is! More cars/tracks would be cool, but if not, no big deal.

You quoted my OP from over a year ago. I don't, or didn't mean to rice out my car, but add parts that will help the car's performance, like aero devices, or some light alloy wheels.

There IS going to be some DLC eventually.............Sony would be pissing off a LOT of fans otherwise.

And I agree with HBR-Roadhog; we need a LOT more American cars, too............If we're going to have like, 4 dozen Skylines, why not have more Corvettes, Camaros, etc., and add a few more marques and models..........like Olds, and the '79 Trans Am for instance?

I would like to see the following:

TVR Griffith 400
TVR Sagaris
TVR Speed 12 - Race Car
TVR T400R - Race Car
TVR Tuscan Challenge - Race Car
TVR Typhon

Update some standard cars up to Premium standard.

I'd prefer a day 1 patch that includes lots of cars and expected tracks. Kind of a way of Sony saying "thanks for purchasing this game instead of using a bit torrent client."

That'd be a surprise. Never will happen though...

I am a bit disappointed with the GT5 car list. 50% of the premium cars are variations of another, it's not 200 cars.
But ok, but at least give us some month to month DLC.
I think the cars that are in Forza 3 right now is the best car list to the moment in racing games.
A have some suggestions:

Ferrari Challenge Stradale
Pagani Zonda F/Cinque
Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
Caparo
Lamborghini LP-570 Superleggera
Koenigsegg CCXR and Agera
Lexus LF-A Nurburgring Edition
Ferrari F50
Aston Martin DBS
Maserati MC12
Gumpert Apollo S
Arial ATOM
Radical SR2
Ferrari FXX and 599XX

And since this is a RACING SIMULATOR, GIVE US CAR WITH COCKPIT VIEWS.

I think PD has reacted to people wanting DLC by taking a lot of content off the game and making it available as DLC. Everybody is happy, we get our DLC and PD gets more money out of us.

I don't really care if they do DLC packs, but I hope they focus more of their efforts on GT6. I also hope that they would give us occasional free car packs. I don't want to pay $15 every time that they release 5 cars. Especially considering that I'm paying $60 for 1000+ cars, 28 tracks, etc.

I took a closer look at the 80's and 90's. I think a breif look at this list would make US and European 80's-90's DLC self-explanatory.

I think DLC should be free and sponsored by manufacturers. So we could have the Mazda 2010 car pack, the Chevrolet 2010 car pack available for free. The cars would be added to the available car in the game, not to your garage.

Agreed, but I would gladly pay for an Aston Martin DBS, the newest BMWs and some classic Ferraries!

(Edit: Deleted what was here and added quote with comment from me equal to what I already wrote, instead of making new post.)

Would be very cool, and a great way for manufacturers to pay to 'advertise' their cars in GT5. Imagine we turn on GT5, an alert pops up saying something like...

"Thanks to Aston Martin, we would like to inform you that the "2011 Aston Martin pack" is now available for download. Featuring the 2011 DB9, the 2011 V12 Vantage, the 2011 Volante, the 2011 Rapide the One-77 concept and for you history buffs, the classic 1965 DB5! Pick up the "2011 Aston Martin pack" today for free from the Aston Martin section of the showroom, and feel the thrill of a new Aston Martin today!

Also they could put up signs around the tracks to the same effect.

I'd prefer a day 1 patch that includes lots of cars and expected tracks. Kind of a way of Sony saying "thanks for purchasing this game instead of using a bit torrent client."

Not to condone pirating or anything like that, but how would a patch stop the pirates? They can get those too.

I would gladly bake Kaz some brownies for DLC of a Premium version of GT3's F688/S, AKA Polyphony002, AKA McLaren MP4/4. If it was in the #12 Marlboro livery, I'd bake them brownies 'special'.

It's stupid to say no, cause in a racing game you can never have all the good car, nor tracks. They are constantly making cars that top the previous, and tracks are made every year. Saying no to DLC doesn't make sense. If GT5 was to have everything and be a complete game in that sense, GT5 would never release. People don't get that GT5 actually has something to have DLC for, while most other franchises don't, they're about milking the game. But the future of cars isn't in PD's hands, so that's why I want DLC. I don't want to miss out on super great hypercars in 2012, or something just because I am stubborn. I rather drive em'! It's totally different I think what people mean. They don't want to pay for it, which isn't the debate. No one would say no DLC if it was free. You see? But that isn't important, it's just important if you want down-loadable content in any text. Free or at a cost, I want it to make the delay to GT6 more bearable.

Tracks from GT4 integrated to GT-mode and hood view are the most important options for DLC to me. Of course also my long requested 1:1 steering animation would be a nice addition :)

Yes I would Love DLC! You can never have enough cars tracks and features in a car racing game. There are tons of cars that should be added ( alot of American and european cars should be added as well as Korean. I would love to see more authentic tracks as well.

well if i can choose rim sizes, change my headlight color from ugly halogen to Xenon i would like to see this DLC stuff added

PD, take my money! Give me as many updates and DLC as you want! :D
