I find it bloody difficult! lol
I recently got a controller from Amazon and I find it absolutely amazing for driving games.
Is it ok to share? (Just don't want to seem that I'm advertising)
Interestingly, i think the opposite. In faster cars, wheel has huge advantage, especially in fast corners. But in road cars it gets more equal. I'm always having more competitive lap times with road cars in sports mode.I've never tried a wheel but driving with a controller is not too bad, in cars with downforce you can get pretty close to the quick players (Super Formula, Super GT, etc), I think the big difference is in road cars and on street tyres where you need to be more precise and carry speed through the corners.

Now that you’re used to it, do you find it’s easier for smoother corners with faster cars?I found the steering too sluggish with the L3 thumb stick, so I switched to motion sensor control in the settings. It's like using a wheel, but without a solid base, FFB and pedals. Highly recommended to anyone using the DS4.
There's a slight learning curve as the brain adjusts to using the controller's motion sensor. Now I'm not going back to the L3 stick.

Also, do you find yourself twitching the controller and getting unintended turns?
Nice, I’m going to try it tomorrow. Thanks!I find it easier to be smooth in any car and situation. Cornering with faster cars isn't something I have thought about in particular.
In the beginning I had to get used to the fact that I couldn't just move my hands around while holding the controller. Not a problem after I adjusted to keep that in mind.
There's a minor deadzone when holding the controller in neutral position. This keeps the car from responding to the smallest of inputs around the center. It gets the job done without being distracting when subtle inputs are necessary. It's very precise, but it requires a few laps of getting used to the motion detection. So don't get too discouraged if your first attempt feels like learning to walk again.

Ha! I can see that. I just got GTS and haven’t hopped online yet, but I’ve definitely had pressure mess me up in other games. Either way, I’ll try it out. Thanks for the heads up!When I tried the motion controls I found it was great and easy to manage, very enjoyable, but but but, when I tried online races I fell to pieces I always seemed to lose it during pressure situations and end up facing the wrong way. Gave up on it in the end
Change steering sensitivity to max when using L3 stick. Removes any dead zone and particularly helps on tight chicanes like the first one at Monza.I found the steering too sluggish with the L3 thumb stick, so I switched to motion sensor control in the settings. I don't think countersteering is easier on the ds4 in GT Sport, this used to be true in GT6 and earlier though. In general no, you have less control and you go slower. Easier are only things like countersteering and things like that
