Do you think the GT5 visuals will be better than FORZA 3's?

I am still surprised no one posted Pictures of Prologue VS FM3 .. Also FM3 looks DECENT, but really bad during game play compared to GT5 Prologue.
Uh, no. It isn't better, but it isn't "really bad" either.

Can we get a lock?

Either way, i don't own or intend to own an X-box, so at least for me personally it's quite irrelevant.

I honestly wouldn't see any good point in doing that since GT5: P and Forza 2 were compared to each other. I'd rather compare GT5 and Forza 3. :)

Thats true, we need to wait for FULL GT5 game so we can compare it with FULL FM3 game.

Can somebody, anybody, lock this useless, trollfeeding thread?

Thank you by mile.

I'll have difficulty believing that GT5 will be inferior graphics wise.

GT has NOT always been about graphics. Did you ever see the first two GTs? Forza 3s main hype since its reveal were its graphics, thanks to Dan.
I beg to differ. When GT first launched, it was a graphical marvel on the PS1, and a huge part of what made it great, made even better by the fact that it played really well and gave us a driving experience like we had never seen before on consoles. GT as a franchise prides itself on the quality of the car models, and just because the PS1 was not capable of the kinds of graphics we have today, it doesn't mean they were any less important.

Plus, I think it's fair to say that the big "up yours" when Forza came out was the online community aspect, including livery editor of course. Forza 3 doesn't look that much different to Forza 2, so I fail to see how the hype there is around the graphics. Forza 3 simply represents a nicely polished driving game package that has mass-appeal (if you take away the anal sim racers - no offense).

Forza 3 was in development for only 2 years. GT5 has been in development for 6-7 years? Yes GT5 will look much better than Forza 3. The GT series has always been about graphics. While Forza has always focused on gameplay, the community, then graphics last. I dont care how good it looks, I just hope it provides half the content and fun that Forza 3 has.

Mhh I got FM3. I don´t know if u play an other game? The carreer mode is boring and linear... No surprises, nothing impressive... You win EP and cars... No surprise cars if you win an special or hard race or something... No driving missions... No driving license... where is the content in FM3?

The tracks in FM3 are very bad builded  Even Suzuka feels like an different track... Laguna seca, Nordschleife, mugello... all original tracks are builded very bad...

Fun? yeah its fun of course... because the driving physics are arcade/sim... so the frustration is low and it´s fun to drive... Also the livery and tuning part is great in FM3 👍

But as I said, the most important things like cars and tracks are builded worst...

I really enjoy FM3 and play it nearly every day for 1-2 hours... but only because I don´t got GT5... I will sell my 360 for sure when GT5 is out... But maybe T10 will do their homework and FM4 will be better than FM3... and I bet FM4 is out earlier than GT5... so maybe I got to keep my 360 for FM4 :)

Well, in the Time Trial demo we saw that the graphics did not look as good as GT5P, but this is probably because the TT demo was just a "physics" demonstration, etc.

But, yeah, I think GT5 will look way better than Forza. :)

Do I think? No, I know GT5 is better graphically and in more ways than just one. :sly:

Well, to strictly stay on topic and not wander off into any other arguments (gameplay, content, physics, etc.), GT5's visuals will be better than FM3. This cannot be argued as it is fact.

Not bothered really, but forza will be classed as an old game anyway when GT arrives. If Forza 4 or it's equivalent are released in close relation to each other then compare.

By whom, exactly?

Stop stating things as if it were 100% fact. That's nothing but your opinion.

Why is this thread still open by the way?

I have Forza 3 and Prologue. There are things, visually, Prologue does better (cars/lighting) and there are things Forza does better (track/road surface detail). That being said if the latest vids and screens are any indication the track detail has been upped significantly in GT5 so I have little doubt the game will look look better when it finally releases.

Having played Forza 3 and I have Prologue, Prologue is much better.... FM3 doesnt have the detail and light that GT has.

I agree with all off you, 100%. Though I've always had a soft spot for forza 3 because it was released on my birth date. But, petish love affairs aside, GT games in general will always be better than FORZA games.

Dont have to hypothesize and ponder if the answer lies in front of you.

FM's argument against GT is in form of Damage and Liveries and "online community", theres no question in anyones mind which one looks better. Not even Turn 10's. They cant claim with a straight face that they have better visuals than GT.

You know when you watch a car accident and you just can't tear your eyes off it to do anything about it?

This pretty much has two places it'll go. First is a comparative technical discussion - which is "interesting" (dull) and has been done before. Second is a full-scale, battle-lines drawn, fanboy squabble with handbags, biting, hair-pulling and a whole load of people put on the naughty step. This has also been done before. Very many times.

Since we're doing naught but retread old ground... off to the padlock shed we go.
