There were four KOTR and QOTR fatal four way matches last night, Alexa Bliss and Jade Cargill progressed in the women's side with Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes progressing in the men's, Alexa will face Roxanne Perez in the semi finals on next weeks Smackdown with Randy Orton facing Sami Zayn in the men's semi final.

R-Truth attacked John Cena twice last night, the second time he put him in an STF in the middle of the ring, Truth faces Cena next week in a non-title match.

Woah, intense battle! John Cena always survives any type of pain though. Good for him!

She has a dislocated right shoulder, it happened very early in her match with Kairi Sane after Kairi used a standard takedown on her. Its obviously very unfortunate and sadly for Liv dislocated shoulders tend to have four months recovery time.

Asuka returned to advance in the QOTR tournament and Jey Uso advanced in the KOTR, Jey will face Cody Rhodes in the semi final on Raw next week with Asuka taking on Alexa Bliss.

Goldberg did make his rumored return to confront Gunther and that title match has been made for SNME, Bayley faces Becky Lynch for the women's IC title on Raw next week with Dominik puts the men's title on the line v AJ Styles at Night Of Champions.

WWE Smackdown this Friday and Night Of Champions this Saturday are taking place in Saudi Arabia, that is what's is happening currently but its worth keeping an eye on with everything going on in that part of the world, Saudi Arabia and Iran are practically neighbors.

Main news from Smackdown was that brilliant John Cena pipe-bomb promo, it was a carbon copy of CM Punk's promo from 2011 but Cena mentioned Claudio Castignoli, Nick Nemeth and Matt Cardona plus he swore which was very un-Cena like. He did this whilst Punk was laid out in the middle of the ring having been put through a table and after Cena faced R-Truth, both of which happened in 2011, I love all these call backs from that year!

Randy Orton and Asuka both qualified for the KOTR and QOTR finals, Jacub Fatu v Solo Sikoa for the US title has been made for NOC. Three title matches made for Smackdown this week.

So Night Of Champions is going ahead this Saturday despite the unrest in the area, Iran is right next to Saudi Arabia.

Dominik Mysterio was meant to defend his Intercontinental title against AJ Styles on the show but it has been removed apparently because one or both of them didn't want to travel to Saudi, you cant blame them its that is the case. Cody Rhodes will face Randy Orton in the KOTR final and Jade Cargill will face Asuka in the QOTR, Cargill beat Roxanne Perez in the semi final and Rhodes beat Jey Uso in the men's semi final.

Rhea Ripley v Raquel Rodriguez has been made for the show as has Sami Zayn v Karrion Kross, its Karrion's first PLE match in nearly two years!

So the WWE talent landed safely in Saudi 24 hours ago and they have two shows there in Riyadh, Smackdown which actually starts soon! And Night Of Champions which is tomorrow evening in the UK.

For Smackdown there are three title matches.

Zelina Vega v Giulia for the women's US title.
Street Profits v WYATT SICKS for the tag titles
Tiffany Stratton v Nia Jax in a last womens standing match for the women's title.

Night Of Champions.

Sami Zayn v Karrion Kross

Street Fight.
Rhea Ripley v Raquel Rodriguez

United States Championship.
Jacob Fatu (c) v Solo Sikoa

Queen Of The Ring Final.
Jade Cargill v Asuka

King Of The Ring Final.
Cody Rhodes v Randy Orton

Undisputed WWE Championship.
John Cena (c) v CM Punk

Cody Rhodes and Jade Cargill are overwhelming favorites to win those finals.

I love how the Saudi crowd are chanting Drew McIntyre to CM Punk.

I miss him too Saudi... me too...

Com Fox!!!

Where have you been mate? Hope you've been okay.

Honestly, I just missed one notification weeks ago and then completely missed the thread since then until now .

The start of Smackdown was affected by a huge power outage at the venue, it occurred during the opening promo segment between Rhodes and Orton and the live feed was down for around 30 minutes, the live viewers missed the segment entirely but it is shown on the repeat but with different cameras and angles, the rest of the show also had a few hiccups.

The highlight of the show was CM Punk's version of Cena's Thuganomics, this was a response to Cena's own pipebomb promo last week and whilst Punk had a few good lines he did look a bit ridiculous, there were also a few boos for him after that 'suck a blood covered dick in Saudi' tweet that he sent to the Miz in 2020, he did apologize for the tweet before last night's show and said he loved Saudi Arabia. This apologetic, kiss ass version of Punk sits uneasy with me.

Giulia beat Zelina Vega to become new women's US champ and it ends Vega's uneventful reign. Tiffany Stratton retained her women's title in a good last women's standing match, she was getting killed by Nia Jax for much of it but the distraction of Naomi's attemped cash in helped her retain. Street Profits-WYATTS tag title match went to a DQ after the other tag titles got involved.

Night Of Champions is on in a bit, its on at 6pm UK time which is perfect for me! No changes to the card as far as I know, this Monday's Raw will have an earlier start time for some reason and it was confirmed by Michael Cole last night that Smackdown will go back to two hours from next week. 👍

I'm a little concerned how little 2 hours will actually help Smackdown given how painful it was during it last few years. However hopefully the problem was more on the Bloodline taking up way too much TV time even when Roman wasn't around and is more of a Bloodline issue and less there is not enough time for the new story design philosophy issue.

However this might cause the other problem of Women's Midcard titles even worse.

Speaking of enough time available or put in for Women wrestlers. Did you know Evolution is in 2 weeks? I swear unless you watch NXT, you would just forget its a thing

Jacob Fatu now knows what it's like to be on the other end of the Bloodline vortex...

Rhodes and Cargill did win the KOTR and QOTR in predictable fashion, the Rhodes Orton match opened the show and was good, the crowd was completely silent for the Cargill Asuka match.

The main event was stupid but fun, it was now a typical John Cena match with a ref bump and run ins, this time from the Rollins group who teased a MITB cash in, Penta and Sami Zayn put a stop to it but it was Rollins who provided a big assist to Cena retaining, they were having a great match before the shenanigans.

Solo Sikoa is the new US Champ and its his first singles title in WWE, Tonga Loa returned from injury and Hikuleo debuted and will be known as Tala Tonga going forward, it means Solo's Bloodline now has five members (I think!) Fatu's title reign lasted 70 days.

Sami Zayn beat Karrion Kross and Rhea Ripley beat Raquel Rodriguez in the street fight.

I wonder what's going to happen with the world heavyweight title picture on Raw now, Cody Rhodes won KOTR and will face Cena for the WWE title and I think he should beat him to get his title back, also there is the Randy Orton heel turn which will happen too, plus Roman Reigns return as well, so the Smackdown side looks pretty sorted for the next few months at least.

But on Raw its less clear, Gunther has Goldberg at SNME in two weeks but what about after that, who does he face at Summerslam??

My thinking is Punk (and Seth shenanigans again), unless they're pulling the trigger on another Punk v Seth match for Summerslam

On a side note - I made this list just before WWE archived content was removed from Binge/Foxtel in Australia and either lost to the internet, or moved to Netflix - I'm going through and updating with links to anything that's not on a streaming service (Netflix or TNA+ at this point).
  • WWE Network = was on Binge in Australia, now unavailable by legal means
  • Netflix in Australia
  • TNA+ in Australia
  • YouTube in Australia - generally using the WWE Vault and WCW channels where possible - there are a couple unofficial sources of YouTube though

Essentially, it was a list of every event that featured a World Title change (post PPV era), and for before that (WrestleMania/Starrcade), ANY World Title match, regardless of a change or not. With the launch of TNA+, I had decided to add TNA World Championship to this, and have just added AEW as well.

  • WWE Championship
  • World Heavyweight Championship (WWE) - both iterations
  • WWE Universal Championship
  • TNA World Championship
  • WCW World Championship (and the International Championship)
  • NWA World Championship (while it was the primary WCW, TNA and ECW championships, plus also the match at the original All In)
  • AWA World Championship (whatever matches were available on the WWE Network/Binge/Peacock prior to the end of last year)

Just noting, streaming services are listed as of where it's available in Australia legally (with a separate column for Alternative/Unofficial access). There may be some errors, but trying to collate as best I can.

On Raw tonight.

Rhea Ripley will open the show.
Sheamus v Rusev
New Day v Finn Balor & JD McDonagh-tag title match.
Gunther has a message for Goldberg.
Sami Zayn & Penta v Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed
General managers Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce will make a joint announcement.

That announcement is expected to be Evolution related, they do need to get a shift on in making matches for that show now as its in two weeks.

Tonight's Raw starts an hour earlier than normal and I found out why, its because they are taping this weeks Smackdown tonight too as its 4th July this Friday.

So it was all about Evolution last night and the matches made for it.

Firstly IYO Sky will defend her women's world title against Rhea Ripley, Roxanne Perez has taken over from Liv Morgan to be a tag team champ with Raquel Rodriguez and they will defend the titles in a fatal four way against a team from Raw, Smackdown and NXT. The will be a battle royale where the winners will get a title shot at Clash In Paris.

Seth Rollins v LA Knight has been made for SNME, it could be Gunther v CM Punk for the title at Summerslam after Punk shoved Gunther last night, Finn Balor and JD won the tag titles from New Day and its their second reign, New Day's reign lasted for 73 days after winning the titles at WrestleMania.

Rusev beat Sheamus in a pretty brutal match, Rusev cheated to win though. Bayley and Lyra Valkryia had a number one contenders match for the women's IC title but it went to a weird draw when both shoulders were on the mat, Breakker and Reed beat Zayn and Penta with Breakker pinning Zayn, Jey Uso made the save when they attacked Zayn and Penta after the match.

Smackdown was taped last night too and I've seen a pretty big Evolution spoiler, which I wont share.

So Smackdown tonight was taped after Raw this past Monday, this is because its July 4th Independence Day and WWE wanted to give its stars and workers the day off. its also the first Smackdown to go back to two hours.

Not too much has been announced but the one big spoiler is Tiffany Stratton's Evolution opponent for her women's title, I know who it is.

I feel like they are setting up Evolution to fail.

Going against All In, poorly marketed with only 2 weeks of build up and little storylines (although in that case part of it is unlucky due to Liv Morgans injury).

Its almost feels like the last one, where they are trying to have it fail to justify not doing it for another few years.

Evolution is definitely rushed, Liv Morgan's injury has put a lot of things up in the air but apart from that there is no excuses for it. I didn't know it was going up against All In, I still think it will be a good show just because of the talent on the card.

Tiffany Stratton will face Trish Stratus for her title, another bad thing about this Evolution build up is that both women's champions have picked their own opponents, it just feels lazy and anti-climatic. Jade Cargill v Naomi has been made for it and is no hold barred. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss are the first tag team to qualify for the fatal four way tag title match, no idea who the teams from Raw or NXT will be.

Away from Evolution, Drew McIntyre returned and will face Randy Orton at SNME, it was very tag team heavy last night and the amin event was a tag team match with Jacob Fatu and Jimmy Uso on one side and Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo on the other, Fatu pinned Solo but they both got attacked by Solo's new Bloodline and they stood tall at the end of the show.
