e break to prevent spin out

When i use the controller for drifting (training myself on the wheel right now) i have the e-brake set to the right joy stick down... I can barely ride it if i want to... I don't use a button e-brake anymore it is obsolete to me now... I love being able to follow the slowest cars and ride the e-brake if i get too close... Slows me down just enough and the light doesn't even come on anymore that's how good i am at using it

thought I was the only one who did that =p.

I do though. Saved me alot of times in drift battles. I still use the handbrake when I drift actually.

THe E brake on my drift car of choice is essential to start the drift however when i hit it again i tend to freeze the brakes and jam them and my car goes into a skid. perhaps since i'm using a GT-R to drift with (Note i've had a lot of success with the tune i've got now) All of the wheels lock up.

With a RWD car i think you can prevent a spin out if you saved it perfectly.

Nice lines shame about your choice of car

Why shame of my car choice? If you are thinking it's AWD... It is not AWD it has a MR drive train... I run in D1 events with it and a lot of my friends loved it... Infact someone loved it so much he is now running one...

You need to counter steer while using e break mate

In your experience is it useful to pull the e break to prevent spinning out bc I think it really works

Not really I use the e-brake to brake the rear tires but I do from time to time catch my self locking up my regular brakes with my e-brake to keep a drift through a corner when I dont get enough speed to finish a corner or when tandeming

Bad car choice because it looks ridiculous

I thought it was a batman drift video for a second or two :sly:

Ha ha ha yeah it was a ridiculous car but i don't like to drift what others drift gets boring seeing the same cars over and over again in battles you know.... I mean i have had the game since gamestop opened the day the game came out and i have drifted pretty much every RWD car in the game and i like to try new cars and drift no matter what kind of car as long as they are RWD of course... But yeah i had a lot of fun drifting it for as long as i did... But it is retired now and i have a new car that already is pulling more angle and speed than the citroen...

It's been my experience that the best way to prevent overdrifting is by knowing the track and the car's requirements as far as throttle input and steering angle are concerned. As for using the e-brake at all, I don't, the most I ever do is clutch kick but I still would much rather increase my throttle input (for more angle and initiating) or tune the diff to be more responsive under braking (for less angle, correcting, and corner exits).
