Just tailgate him and he will crash eventually after being pressured by your car

driving through the rear-view mirror, that is!

One thing about overtaking contact... if you get hit because you decided to brake for a turn in the middle of the preceding straight, don't go running the race admins trying to get the other guy penalized for something that's honestly your fault. As it is now the OLR rules might as well ban all drafting because if you run any closer than two bus-lengths the guy in front of will brake 300 yards from the first marker, you'll hit him because no one with any sense brakes there and you weren't expecting it. You'll get LOL PENALTY and he'll be allowed to compete as long as he wants.

Don't you wish you could of turned your headlights off to make the pass

If you are slower just let the faster pass you !!!

Yep . Take it eazy :)

Whoever sees no wrong is just wow, that was pure intentional and he brakechecked you at least twice. I see no harm in your contact as you didnt push him off the road and he was excessively braking in some corners causing him to bump him. He would have been kicked/voted out immediately.

If you are significantly faster, and a good enough driver, you should be able to get past. It's racing, not a shopping trip in happy town. People who are getting all teary about it need to watch just about any tintop racing series in the world then come back and complain.

I have to side with gmli. That was quite blatant blocking there are ways to defend cleanly while still being a gentleman. I always pick my line to the next corner, hold it and let the following driver make his move and respond to that. Not weave in and out purposefully forcing contact between cars.

Against these kinds of drivers in situations like that I often try what I call the Schumacher flick, which is to move to one side and when he starts to come blocking at you you quickly move to the other side. It's best to plan this move so that you eventually end in the inside line of the next corner but it doesn't always work like that.

Also in a situation like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vreGP7gTUgw&feature=youtu.be&t=48s it's a good idea to force the other driver to take a fast in slow out inside-inside line, and then counter that with a really late exit slow in fast out line and try to muster up enough speed on the following straight to get alongside (though against a driver as agressive as this one, it's difficult).

I applaud you gmli for maintaining your calm and still trying to get past cleanly. The worst thing you can do in such a situation is to ram the other one off the track because ramming just leads to more ramming.

...but then again, that's why I rarely race the 'ring. I consider it more of a follow-the-leader and try not to make any mistakes course, than a pass at every opportunity course.

I think almost every spot has atleast two lanes. I think defending is a matter of choosing one to make the overtaking driver's line the most difficult possible. I've passed/been passed in almost every corner on the Nürburgring.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYqoKKQ0A-w&feature=player_detailpage#t=297s here's me defending against a significantly faster BMW while trying to be as little of an asshole as possible. You can do it without weaving back and forth trying to make an accident happen.
