PM Me and ask
I've been looking for a classic muscle car to tune for all the classic muscle car drag rooms. Anyone have a list of the fastest classic fully tuned?

Cuda, 70 challenger RM, Buick Special off the top of my head, those 427 Cobra things (I dont even know the proper name) are the fastest though by around .3 seconds.

and then the Chevelle

Ohh, ok, I figured into the 9.8's too, was murdred by a fast Cougar in my Chevelle recently, I must've been treed bad.

I suppose the next car down the chain would be the regular 70 Challenger.

C2 Vette, Mustang Mach 1, GT40 Race Car, C2 Vette Race Car, Superbird, Tempest Le Mans GTO are all some pretty potent sleepers.

Besides the C2 Race car those are slowest of them all.

Rt challenger for a hard launch, cuda for top end pull

Not true. When you properly tune a Cuda it will eat a Challenger for lunch off the line and then you'll see taillights the rest of the race. The only one that even stands a chance is the RM Challenger and even then its still slightly slower.

challenger has far better 0 to 60 than any cuda, even the non race modded, compare on ssrx...If your cuda is out launching rt challengers you've either got a killer tree and or the challenger is sporting a weak tune

I don't really consider the Cobra's classic muscle cars, at the time they were super cars, now they would be considered muscle but I just think they are way to fast to be racing any muscle cars in this game seeing as how most of the common ones run 9.7-9.9. None of the classic muscle cars even get remotely close to a 9.4

Disagree. I've raced hundreds upon hundreds of absolutely top tuned Challenger RM's and they'll either stay just a hair off next to me or they are about a fender off. If you think the Cuda has a slow 0-60 time I suggest you retune it.

Compare your cudas 0 to 60 with your non rm challengers 0 to 60...I assure you there's nothing wrong with my cuda

In SSRX they may differ slightly but online hardly any of it matters as it all comes down to who has the better connection. I've never lost to an RM Challenger in my Cuda. Not even once. The only times I will admit I've been beat is when I have a weak connection and get treed really hard. Otherwise they run about even with the Challenger being slightly slower overall.

Before all the patches took place my Cuda was running 9.74x, patches included tacks on roughly .015 or so.

even tree challenger smashes cuda off the line, cuda will pull back but indy shadows is closer tune comes in the equation if cuda catches challenger

BSL's are all important. The Cuda is about a .100 faster off timed launch

If I ever saw a Cuda stay with my Challenger 0-60, I would safely assume something wasn't right.

While the final number doesn't look too good for the challenger, the Cuda traps at ssrx at around 150, Challenger around 145. With the slightly shorter distance I'm willing to bet trap speed would be very similar

In my own experience the Challenger is a highly under rated muscle car more than capable of getting wins over the Cuda and Chevelle.

The RM'd challenger is what we should be comparing to the Cuda, They run very close times, But even the regular one would outlaunch it even if it was only for a few short feet

My RM doesn't have that great a tune on it, it is in fact slower 0-60 than my non RM.
But they are considerably quicker than a Cuda.

0-60 blows the cuda away, RM or not. The RM will beat a tuned Cuda on even launch, because the RM will pull a car length advantage right away. I've beaten Chevelles with my regular Challenger, and those run a full .100 faster on SSRX. It would take a 9.700 Cuda to beat a 9.7x RM.

Sorry slash =\. And this is my vote on fastest non-Cobra classic.

is that soo wanna run my RT non RM vs your cuda :sly:

cobra is the fastest classic muscle in the 1/4 mile. however most muscle rooms frown upon them unless people are racing vipers and ZR1s.

the cuda is the 2nd fastest muscle classic, then the Challenger RM following close behind. the Buick special, chevelle, and Challenger are also great drags.

I'd go with the cuda, more fun to me seems like it, dont forget to break it in and time launch.

I said sleepers. I've had my share of challenger and chevelle kills with almost every one of those cars when I got the tree. Just something to bring more variety into muscle rooms 👍

I agree I prefer running those over the common ones. It's more fun.

It's fun when you have people racing slow cars and then spank them with a GT350 Mustang lol

Lol, I like destroying those Shelby gt350's in my s15, there's nothing funnier than hearing someone say wtf my v8 just got smoked my a sr20 lmao :)

I like taking out GT350's with my SRT4

FWD!!

A top tuned GT350 will keep up with a SRT4, only losing to one that has an excellent tune. If you want a sleeper, the Dodge Superbee, Pontiac Tempest, and Ford GT40 are all nice 10.1 & 10.0 sleepers. All of the classics in the game have been drag tuned, however, so there's no surprises to be found anymore. I don't see many Jenson Interceptors out there though.

If my memory serves me correctly, don't the Interceptors run 9.8's?
