Is anyone planning on using a non-hybrid car for Nations tomorrow? I felt like using the 908 and got my fastest lap tonight in it with limited practice. I found it easier to drive than the 919, R18 and TS050. I also have no idea how to best deploy the hybrid on those three, so I might have been distracted.

2) makes a very aggressive move to block me a get me a penalty
3) Punts deliberate once more in the slow lefthander to get me another penalty

Well he failed and I waited until the penalty zone to overtake him for once and for all since he grabbed himself a penalty for +6 seconds. Hate those kind of drivers

What car are people using? Audi looks fastest over 1 lap, but it runs out of boost very quickly. Porsche looks to be the best race pace car and then maybe the Toyota, but not sure tbh. I tried the LM55 which just seemed a bit slow, and the Mclaren is fast on the straight but tried to kill me over the kerbs at the chicane.

Obviously the race is just going to be about surviving the death chicane so maybe the car doesn't matter

I used the Porsche(because I was gifted it in the Circuit Experience). It was really good on RMs. Fast and steady. I got killed on boost at the start(11/17). Was attacked into T1. Contact on the esses at the top of the hill, I spun at the bottom of the second hill left-hand hairpin and fell to last also with a 3 second penalty. Pitted on lap 6 for the undercut, as some cars fell down the order. I had more wear do to the skidding.

The McLaren in my race, must have run very long. I wound up catching it as it pit. Tyres wore way better as I maintained control and pace. Finished where I started, 11th.

Did only one test race in lobby yesterday , the porsche will be my car for sure , 13 laps no stop with medium tires is not a problem. 9 laps 1:25 range at safe racing path and increasing till 1:28 lap 13 due to front tires waste.
The front racing hard / rear racing medium is perhaps a good option too.

I will be using the Porsche as well as I'm more familiar with it and it seems easier to drive for me. The Audi is just a little too tailhappy. Plus the Porsche seems to have a better battery management and charges it's battery more than the Audi.

I was thinking about this as well but I don't know whether I can make the front mediums last. Perhaps I'll use the hards in front. No-stopping seems to save a bit of time.

In Manu I think I'm gonna 2-stop and go all out.

Did Nations Cup after missing out on the previous one. A little happy but frustrated at a missed podium.

Qualified a mid P8 on mediums, went for the strategy to fit hard tires for the race. The start was a little clean except that I was pushed out in the S curves by another Japanese player (ugh what grudge do they have) in lap 1. Dropped down to P11 but made a recovery to P8 within 3 laps after a couple of ballerinas spinning away in hilarious fashion, including a near collision with a stray car that ended up in the middle, thanks to ghosting this time for saving my time.

Ran a zero-stop strategy on the TS030 which felt neutral and good, and also hungry for more power through the exit of the apexes as the race goes on, ended up running as high as P3 while chasing the 2nd place within a blink of an eye, constantly within 0.5 seconds throughout the lap. And after a couple of incidental knocks, ended up with my only penalty where an idiot deliberately slowed on the last corner causing a penalty of 3 seconds (GT Sport, wake up time!) while getting tagged by others forming up the bunch behind me.

My momentum was briefly lost and I ended up with P5 to the flag. Thanks to my slight conservative approach and consistency, I had managed to keep wear levels in check to ensure good getaways especially with the boost from the hybrid battery.

Overall, it's a good result but it was heartbreaking to see a podium thrown away because of my bad mistakes, and some really annoying players causing trouble in a relatively peaceful, clean race. The guy who pushed me off ended up in P2, but was fished out by another fellow Japanese player for being an idiot. Of course some players were swearing at those automobile missiles while the rest called off their night with their 1-stop strategy that played out for a few.

This is so far, one of the cleanest race I've had. Minimal contact and respect between the drivers, some gave way and likewise. Just hope for something better than this and a proper podium in my future official races. SR rating up with a blue B, happy for the rammers' contributions.

Porsche is the popular choice. I wasn't keen with the Toyota but I only tried it briefly.

Strange, I was just thinking Yamagiwa is the ideal track for Championship limits. It's fast, flowing and really wide. The only place I had problems was the final chicane, where I got one penalty in the whole race.

Just went from 10th to 4th there with a really consistent drive in the Nissan. Now if they put St. Croix in a championship for a change I'll be happy.

Ed - Qualified 6th at Dragon Trail, having an opt. time about six tenths better than pole. Ended up in 4th after pitting. Caught up to an LM55 in 2nd who had gone for an undercut. I follow him through the chicane, he hits the wall on the left, I try to go through, disaster. 16th. Better hope for something good in the next slot.

My Manufacturer Series race at the Yamagiwa layout. The car felt good (Toyota) and confidence was pretty high ahead of the race after practice the night before.. Unfortunately, once again I failed to set a good lap time in qualifying which put me 18th on the grid and with a lot of work to do. These A-S DR races are so close in terms of competitiveness that i'm struggling to get the car to the limit in qualifying, with the risk of receiving a penalty playing on my mind Anyway, I was just over a second from my PB, which would have put me 3rd. More work to do on this if i'm to get what I feel I deserve from races because my pace there is usually pretty good.

I started with Mediums on the front and Softs on the back and went to lap 8, which was probably one lap too long in hindsight as I was battling cars before they stopped and was quite a few seconds behind afterwards with the under cut. I rejoined in 13th and went maximum attack but unfortunately the extra grip of the fresh soft tyres caught me out and I cut the exit of the final chicane very slightly and was handed a 1 second penalty. Despite this I managed to close quickly and made a few overtakes on the final lap, finishing in 10th and just behind the car ahead. I enjoyed the race and was pretty pleased with getting into the top 10, considering where I started.

I wont be able to do this Saturday's race so with 3 rounds now completed, Mount Panorama will be my final chance to bag some points and get qualifying right in this set of races!

I refuse to go to round 6 of this season's Nation Cup because I hate Dragon Trail-Seaside II. I view that as abysmal and in Sport Mode, I'll never race in that course again. Therefore, this is the first round of this seasons Nations Cup I'm skipping. Now I can focus on round 6 of this season's Manufacturers Series.

I refuse to go to round 6 of this season's Nation Cup because I hate Dragon Trail-Gardens II. I view that as abysmal and in Sport Mode, I'll never race in that course again. Therefore, this is the first round of this seasons Nations Cup I'm skipping. Now I can focus on round 6 of this season's Manufacturers Series.

It's DT Seaside, not Gardens.

Seaside II is a great and underused track, just not for Gr.1. It’s amazing with N-class cars.

Got put back in the top split for the first time this season so it was unsurprisingly terrible. At least I only lost 400 DR for finishing 17th.

Finally a win after a long time and it could not come at a better race! My first FIA race success! Race pace wise, it is good to be in clear space so you can take the death chicane at your leisure, even with a touch of brakes. Porsche is so good at this track.

Ended up 4th in my second attempt at Nations, beaten by three R18s while driving the 908. I had the pace to beat them, but I'd been playing the game all day, I didn't want to throw away a guaranteed place by driving into the wall, and I had a few moments in the race regardless. Lap 1 was a clownshow and as I went from 5th to 4th after the pitstops, 4th in a 919 went off at the hairpin after the chicane and didn't ghost when he came back on, so it took me a bit longer to get past him.

Ended up with 716 points. I really feel if I'd been in a high enough room I could have broken 1000 points for the first time, but this is my highest score so far this season, and it could obviously have been a lot worse. I really enjoyed the car/track combo, and I'll be trying the 908 again whenever I get the chance. It's much, much better on its brakes than the hybrid cars.

Missed out on the first Nations Cup race of the night (which was at 5pm and not 6pm since we're no longer in Daylight Savings) because I spent most of Wednesday playing online Free-for-All Adventures in FH4, then had dinner afterwards. So I ended up doing the 6pm Manufacturer's Race, which was a complete botchjob.

Then I moved to the Nations Cup afterwards. Was expecting it to be a complete nightmare because it was Gr.1 but it actually went better than expected. Only accidents I've really had were just scraping the wall at the bus stop and that's about it, really.

I had started 7th and finished 3rd at round 6 of this season's Manufacturer's Series.

A less than stellar day for me although I only attempted each race once.

Used the Toyota for nations. Started 12th, qualifying that car is difficult cause it has very poor hybrid performance.

Anyways good start and at end of lap 1 was 9th. Race pace was strong and top 5 looked entirely possible but got 8 seconds worth of penalty due to others peoples crashes at the chicane which ended that target.

Think finished 11th and too dispirited to try it again.

Manufacturers was better. Made a mess of qualifying. Was on for pole but cut 2nd last corner by as Super GT would say 1 pixel but it was enough. Ended up starting 11th!!!

Anyways made short work of cars in front of me to be 6th after pit stop but a tangle with a no stopper on out lap dropped me to 8th. Caught and passed the no stopper and the 2 cars that took advantage of our incident and set of after 3rd and 4th but ran out of laps.

Finished 5th with 2nd only 3 seconds ahead....leader was 15 seconds down road.

Somewhat annoyingly I set 7 laps in race faster than my qualifying time!!

Well, I got murdered by tire wear in the Manufacturer's race, then murdered by an overzealous competitor leaving the bottom-of-the-hill chicane. My right fronts were almost gone during both stints and I'm surprised I didn't get murdered by more people when holding them up. Started 11th and finished 17th at one of my favorite tracks, then rage-quit after I crossed the line. I'd rather take a DNF and no points than have that pathetic points total...
