I didn’t try cutting the first chicane, instead I was one of the first to get spun in the carnage but was lucky to only get a 1 second penalty, but ended up 19th. Had a pretty uneventful race otherwise though and worked my way back to 9th (which is where I was seeded), from starting 14th. Glad to get 1100 points again after 2 straight 200 point races

Also -11SR so I guess I won’t be matched with the better players for the Bathurst races to get a few points back :boggled:
Yep, got matched with a driver that also suffered at bit at Monza and one of the Oscarp guys in an RCF. Winner got 585 points or something like that. The NSX sucks bad at Bathurst it‘s unbelievable, qualified 4th, would‘ve finished 3rd because of the Rocco in front of me suffering from bad front tires but I braked a µ too late, gave him the smallest bump ever and got a 5 second penalty after. His game didn‘t even recognize it as he asked why I didn‘t pass him in the final lap

So there go my good results in this FIA season, I‘m slow at all the upcoming Nations races and now that I got a terrible race with the Gr.4 cars I‘d need a good result with the GT3 car which I‘d say is impossible for me at BB (won‘t attend that) or Interlagos 🤬

got discon'd from Nationals race - did this happen to anyone else? It was the 5pm PST race (3rd race of the day) room full of A+ drivers. I thought I saw all the others getting disconnected as well :banghead:

What a disaster at Bathurst. Rammed into the wall twice at the hairpin before Conrod straight. I think by the same person both times. Then someone tried to bash me off on the first straight. Then a 3 second penalty for brushing the wall...the wall penalties on this track are way too severe. I love Bathurst, but in public races it's just suicide every time.

Not sure. I usually do the 5pm race for Nations but decided to flip the order today.

As for me racing at Monza:

I had one good race at Monza compared to the six or seven bad ones. Didn't get a clean qualifying lap, couldn't avoid a penalty at T1 despite crawling through there, spun at the second chicane for reasons I don't know yet and lost too many DR points to make racing at Monza worth the risk.

Bathurst started off almost as bad. I had a great flyer until I went an inch too wide exiting the Chase. The game didn't even warn me about a penalty until I'm right at the last corner. Instead of a likely Top 5 start, 14th! Somehow, I got myself to settle down and focus on making that climb I've done way too many times by now.

9 positions gained for 5th place and just missing out on 4th. I think that a new record. :D

I think I’m pretty much done with the manufacturers. It’s gotten to the point I’m losing 1000 DR every time I take that Mazda Gr. 4 out on track

Yeah apparently 8 people got kicked out. I was one of the kicked this time. Really unlucky cause i had an amazing pace for that race.

My manu was great so it made the disconnection better to take :)

All that happens then is everyone slipstreams up together, which means you get exactly the same Turn 1 carnage, only FASTER

It's a bit more spread out imo, but to keep things simple and funny:

Quick and painless death > slow and agonizing death :lol::lol:

I found the standing start yesterday to be quite good, the first 8 cars survived it and I gained two positions. Wasn‘t meant to be transitioned to the final results tho 🤬

Well yesterday I really enjoyed my race at Mount Panorama but it was a very poor result all round.

I played the last race last night and qualified 12th overall due to the speed limitations of the Toyota 86 Grp 4 and within the race
I managed to pull myself up to 4th but then after the pit stops I ended up dropping back down to 12th as I got a huge 10 second
penalty for driving through a ghosted car which killed the race.

Overall I am 297th for Toyota right now which is not bad but in the result screen it showed I was fastest driver for Toyota, does
everyone get this or only if I made the top speed/time for the manufactuer?

Pretty sure the "faster driver for xxxxxxxxx" is only for the best position in that specific race. I was the fastest Mclaren (only) in my race and I finished 14th and picked up like 400 odd points, so no chance that was best in region.

Not good to hear this happened again. This simply has to be addressed at some point.

No point putting up my Monza race. The climb I did at Bathurst all but made up for my disastrous qualifying.

Thanks, I guess it was probably just for that race as I think I was the only Toyota in the race.

Still it's a nice touch and will boost my ego a bit if I get it in future races with other Toyota's.

For the people who have been on this forum for some time, do you remember threads about using CSA and TCS in cup races? People were up in arms about why they should or shouldn't be forced off during cup racing. At the world tour, they forced both of them off. Makes me wonder if they'll go that way later down the road, probably not though.

The 86 wasn't the greatest at that track, exit speed was the main focus just to keep up.

They should force off any assists that that particular car or class doesn’t have in real life, IMO

I almost threw away my race on Lap 10 in the last 4 corners. People serving penalties in all the wrong places lol... I couldn't believe I saved the car after touching dirt in the braking zone after the back straight, my heart was pounding.

Overall I just didn't have the pace others did, got into the 2.14s a few times. I'll take another 1100 pts though.

@Doogy003 you almost cost me the race moving in the braking zone like that.

Good save! I almost threw away my race in that same corner. That was my first FIA win :)

Huracan GT3, Monza...
Atleast I wasnt disconnected.

Interesting to see your perspective, looks like one of the green cars in the midfield braked far too late and caused a chain reaction that went all the way to the front on the inside line. I remember somebody hit me in the back and forced me into a dark car which went off. There were so many gaps and penalties that the race was pretty much decided after 1 turn.

I started 18th I think and went up to about 10th after T1 without any penalties. Before i got there, everyone was ghosted, flashing penalties, etc. so I thought cool, it's really tight spacing right now but I got away unscat-*bump*, penalty before the next chicane.

Proximity awareness seems to be a struggle for some people.

It is for almost everyone, yourself included. Saw you ruin a few people’s races driving ignorantly of much faster cars behind you

Nope. I saw how you race. I’ll remember next time you’re much faster than me on another narrow track and trying to pass me

it's unfortunate that you're not willing to talk about it and rather just be stuck in your assumptions.

Before you go throwing stones..... I've raced you before and you're no saint by any standards

Of course not, but I go by it honestly. I was mostly just calling him out because he made a hypocritical comment. I’m fully aware i spun you out last night also, I could’ve backed off after the first time I hit you accidentally, but I didn’t. driving that Mazda puts me in a red haze where I don’t think straight. It was mostly only caused by that guy driving half speed saving fuel in the middle of the track in front of us anyway. Otherwise I would’ve just stayed behind you since you were much faster in the straights.
