I haven't checked the recording, but I think he was actually one of the cleanest drivers in the lobby. IIRC I had to pass him several times due to falling behind again after pitting, and felt we both kept it clean.
Or maybe not, I'll let you judge for yourself, but bear in mind that the person he rear ends is the person who did exactly the same thing to me in the same place earlier in the race, so prior events that aren't in this video might have had an impact. Just the last lap of the race:

You did well to survive that last lap.

I'm having a watch back of my race now that I'm not a seething mess. That guy qualified on pole and is in 6th before the first lap's done. He got shoved wide in the left hander after the esses and was passed robustly by two people after that.

He passed me in the left hander in the Miyabi section (on fresher softs than I was). He swerves right in front of me just as we go over the start line there. Definitely, er, robust.

Christmas is not celebrated in Japan (there is not holiday for them)
but they celebrate New Year ;)

I was slightly worried that my comment would create a cultural argument. I know Christmas is not celebrated in Japan, or in other parts of the world. However it is celebrated across most of Europe and the western world, which is also the largest market for GT Sport.

I find this absolutely wrong.

I find nothing wrong with it at all, but it is unusual and I find it slightly amusing. There is a part of me that is already wondering if I could sneak a race in on Christmas day (after too much mulled wine and Christmas pudding) just to see what kind of lobbies are going.

Really all that I'm wondering is if PD realise how low the participation numbers will likely be. However, it is an exhibition season so it doesn't really matter and if they want to run them, then why not?

S and E drivers in the same lobby?

I see people sometimes mentioning racing in the "top split" during these races. How do you know if the race you get put into is the top one?

Yup slightly updated schedule

Races haven't been scheduled on the calendar on the website as of yet
I wish this page gave just a liiiiiiitle more detail. Like the Sardegna logo means it could be 1 of 6 tracks. But we'll probably find out in a couple days.

Gr.4 Tsukuba could be a fun one depending on your car. I wonder if we get to switch manufacturers for the next season?

All comes down to your DR for FIA races. Use Kudosprime to see where it's at. But traditionally top split is A+ drivers.

**Edit, can also include A drivers of there's not enough A+ drivers.

You can! They announced it before Exhibition Season 1
This just got interesting. I'm with Audi now, but I've wanted to take the GR.4 Subaru around there in an actual race. But I'd pretty much be only switching for that race lol

What a coincidence. That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm with Audi and might still switch to Subaru.

Nice! And probably for similar reasons. I love the R8, but the TT is hot garbage.

But on the Subaru side, it doesn't look like a favorable schedule outside of Tsukuba. Although the Gr.4 is pretty competitive in races thanks to it's acceleration.

That's exactly it. Once the full schedule is out we'll know for sure, but if Red Bull Ring and Tokyo are under rain conditions, the 4WD may give it a fighting chance. For the Gr3, Sardgena may not be horrible, it has long straights, but it's very start-stop and the WRX's main differentiator is its brakes.

Anyone knows if there's a way to manage the Hybrid system on the LMP1's , or is ir always automatic? There's no point in letting the car deploy it in the outlap of qualifying.

Is there a reason I can’t see my points on the GT sport website? I just get this

but on my profile page I can see that I’m 195th?

The championship pages on the website seem to have both ticked over to the next round and forgotten about this weekend. On the home page for both it says the next race is on the 13th.

what if you enter for hards in the final lap, do they count as used?
Yes.
