Welp, NoMpsServer error. Guess I'll have to make do with a rather disappointing (for me at least, I had good pace with the Jag) 66 pts. Let's see if this error persists...

I'm in the Mercedes, which I feel is a fairly neutral car for the track.

Feel free to watch and chat as I do my best to retain my marginal A-S rating, and I'll (figuratively) be taking bets on where I am exiting the first chicane...

My internet went 'nah' for that attempt! I'm not overly confident about being in the 'last chance saloon' race, as I'm guessing it's a bit sketchy...

Let's try this again...

Went for the last slot at Monza, qualified 8th, left plenty of time until I left the pits and still caught traffic.
Race went as expected, wiped out at 1st chicane, P18 with engine damage. Same kind of thing for 2 more laps.
Finished P13 after a good battle for last 3 laps with a driver who was aware.
So not all bad. Slagged everyone in post race & thanked the clean guy.

Well today was my darkest day in my GT sport career.

First slot qualified 14th with no slipstream. Took it easy into turn 1 but that courtesy was not extended from positions 15-20. Despite doing nothing wrong I was given a 4 second penalty. Despite being punted and reset at turn 1 on lap 6 I was in the battle for a top 10 at start of lap 12 when again a driver unable to compensate for slipstream and fading tyres killed me and another driver into turn 1. Finished 13th and peeved off.

Entered slot 2, qualified 8th slipstream free which was a result for me. Turn 1 I show the drivers in front due respect and go in sensibly....yep you guessed it a few idiots behind dont, I emerge with another BS 2 second penalty which puts me in 17th by time I serve it. My composure is going now but I keep it together for a few laps until a RCZ that's has emerged from the pits dives me at t1, I give space but I'm alongside for 2nd part of chicane and I'm run off the track. Full rage mode is engaged now.

I cut the 2nd chicane after being hit in rear and get alongside the RCZ into lesmo 1 and show them the sandpit but no penalty. Next lap a megane on shot tyres that I'm overtaking into 2nd chicane decides it wants to go side by side hits me and cuts corner giving me a penalty. Head completely goes and I wipe them out for a 6 second penalty.

Not proud of actions, actually I'm ashamed that I lost it so much but the utter lack of racing respect in those 2 races sent me over the edge, given we are talking 60k dr A+ splits. We should be able to adjust and adapt to slipstream, worn tyres, other cars around us, differing lines but maybe I'm just asking for too much.

Anyway the result was my first ever DR reset in nearly 700 races between my 2 accounts so wombleleader is now a naughty boy down at DR A and SR B!!!!

Once again, I had another 5th place finish at today's Manufacturers Series race. I felt uncomcortable with the Audi cars I've used in stage 1. I'm reverting back to Citroën by in stage 2.

One-and-done for me! Hopped in the first slot for North America not expecting too much since I don't really like Monza (or any track track with a stop-start nature, like Fuji next week...) and always seem to get mobbed in the braking zones because of it. I somehow qualified the 'Vette 4th without a slipstream, and got promoted to 3rd after the first chicane after 3rd put a wheel over the outside curb on the exit. Unfortunately with the front 2 immediately breaking the slipstream to the rest of us, I was left as the "locomotive" on my train and the 2 directly behind me were content to stay there since we had a small gap to 6th. I tried short-shifting when I saw 4th place getting a run on me, but he just bump-drafted me rather than trying a pass. I'd decided on a 1-stop after qualifying so well, and started on the Mediums, which I switched from at the end of lap 6. The Evo that was 2 cars behind me in our train came out of the pits directly in front of me thanks to me having to take extra fuel. I passed him after he got a 0.5s penalty for slightly cutting the first chicane on our outlap. I also dodged a potential race-ruining penalty after an Alfa put a wheel in the grass braking for the 2nd chicane, hit the side of my car as I was passing on the inside, then speared into the wall. I thought FOR SURE I'd be looking at a 2-4s penalty, but...nothing!

Later a Lexus got involved and took both me and the Evo into turn 1, running wide at the 1st part of the chicane, but keeping it on track and preventing me from cutting back. The Lexus later pitted for a 2nd stop and we never saw him again. Later on I got a 0.5s penalty myself after cutting too much out of Ascari. the Evo passed me again when I served it on the next lap, and a GT-R that had been tailing us for much of the race got past me after my penalty as well and passed the Evo on the front straight before getting the 1st chicane wrong, and again it was me and the Evo again. I passed him going into Turn 1 the following lap and kept him behind until the end, in spite of constantly screwing up the 2nd chicane (he was too close to me to try to pass when I messed up, and had no choice but to bump-draft me ). A 2-stopping Porsche pitted at the end of lap 13 and came out just behind us and it was me, the Evo, and the Cayman 4th-6th at the line. I got 189 points, which is my best Manufacturer's championship result under the current points system, at a track that I normally hate!

That marks an end to an interesting combo... on to Fuji now.
I'd like to say that having the version without the Dunlop Chicane is a welcome decision on my end, had to drive on the inside even if you were a secons ahead because of the carpet bombing site that was that chicane.
Did a couple of flyers, the Gr.3 Jag feels much more at home here than at Autopolis. My 1:33.7 was enough for 6th on the boards before the properly quick guys showed up. Definitely feel like I could squeeze a 32.xxx out of it.

Having a very erratic season. I guess you have to take the good with the bad.

Took P3 for Nations at Tokyo East, then dropped 3000 DR at Monza in Manufacturers the next day after quitting twice.

Need a great end to the season as I will need as close to max DR as possible for the start of the next season, which is not too far away.

Has anyone tried a Toyota 86 for the Tuesday race?
I am having a hard time taming a group 3 car on Fuji. I think it will be a pretty messy race but good for experience!

My schedule sucks for running FIA events now. I work 3-midnight so cannot do the weekday rounds. And spending so much time doing other things on the weekends that I miss all the early slots. Going to give Monza a shot tonight on the last time slot for giggles and see what happens.

Last time slot live stream, no commentary.

Edit: Offline

Whole lot of action for no reward. Started P6, finished P6. But only because typical me went off slightly on the last lap and while defending lost a spot while serving a penalty that wasn't deserved. But when are they?

Edit 2: Also, when the people in front of you are still pulling away from you, even when you are in the draft, your car could use a power bump. ;)

Long time no race. Had a break after Interlagos in daily race C left me empty of any joy for GT Sport and destroyed my DR(10k loss). Now being in mid B I was completely off the way for top20 in Austria. As my home country Romania was added at the beginning of the year in Nations and I would have higher chances to get the S rating there - I have created a new account today.

So, today it was all improving my DR and getting to first 1.000.000 credits - for the Group 1 car needed for the daily C from tomorrow on.

In manufacturers Cup I chose Porsche - as I have no cars except for N200 Impreza STI and a Group X - Toyota FT1. I needed two solid cars for Gr. 4 and Gr. 3 that I can use also in the dailies and both Porsches are solid cars for me on most tracks. This Manufacturers season is just for increasing my DR - I have no objective here - main objective is to get somewhere around 20k DR which can get me solid points to have a real chance of getting in top10 in my home nation.

With that in mind, I was going to race multiple times today. I was on low DR C so had a lot to gain.

1st slot - qualified pole, with more than 8 tenths difference from the 2nd. Started on mediums, no drama for me in T1 and then lost the leader position in lap2 after getting a 1.5s penalty in the 2nd chicane. At the end of the lap I was more than 2.5s behind and as Monza I did not race too much until now I was not able to close the gap. I then hoped that the difference can be gained in the pits - as I was running pretty economic but after pitting end of lap 8 the gap was 5s, and I kept cruising. P2 and 30points

2nd slot - qualified 2nd, just after the same Italian that won the 1st slot. This time, there was drama at T1, huge pile up, but managed to point the car towards T2 and jost lost 1 position in the process. This was not long lived, at the second chicane I was rammed from behind by a white Audi - pinball physics made me hit the Italian in P1 and send him flying. I was still in P4 after, but next right hander I had dirty tires and run wide. Down to last then back chasing the cars in front. As there were a lot of pushing and accidents I got back in top10 pretty fast and by the time I got into the pits I was 7th. Got back out in 8th, but made short work of the car in front quickly. Then I caught up a Spaniard in a Ferrari and I had one of the nicest battle in some times. It lasted 5 laps, I managed to overtake in T1 in the last lap and get the 5th position, but run wide in 2nd Lesmo curve into the sand. Lost 2 positions to finish 7th but got up to 4th from the tire penalties of drivers in front.

3rd slot was without drama. Qualified P3 and finished P3.

One interesting thing - I can't find the new account in kudosprime or GTS companion. Anyone had this problem before?

Could've done something with the GT-R except I had no slip for qualifying twice in a row. Got pushed off first race. Second race involved some bold strategy because I had nothing to lose. Oh, and some pre-race entertainment.

I did go last slot on a whim. Got pole but lost to a Ferrari.

Hi! Did you guys know that yesterday was a day when Kurt Cobain shoot his head off? It was 26 years ago, but he knew that in 2020 in this day there will be Manufacturer race at Monza and even wrote a dong about it:

Ooo I should have listen to him...

Favourite moment from yesterday's race...

Think I'll probably give Laguna a miss, with the low power and track where overtaking is impossible anyway I can only see it being a dirt fest where you get a run on someone and they just ease you out of any imminent overtake, or you get gentle taps from behind that ruin your exit and end up costing you multiple places. I've been looking forward to Spa Gr2 since I saw it listed so might just focus on that for next Saturday

I'm rather proud of my victory at Tokyo, especially the first lap which essentially got me the win.

I decided to attempt a little video in Share Factory for the first time, so I have no clue if this will work. If it does, I hope you enjoy!

Better than any share factory effort I've tried! In fact, I normally go into it then give up after five minutes! Don't have the patience to try and get my head around what initially appears to be a cumbersome and confusing interface

No, it's not even showing now. I think I have raced at least 10 races yesterday and I am now high C DR - based on the filling from GT Sport menu I am around 8.5k DR probably.
Perhaps it's something with day's gone by too. Mine shows now, after 6 races and 4 days

Monza can be a cruel mistress ... The first chicane can squash your dreams..
Well, this was my second race of the night and "clean fight" is the key word for this very entertaining race.
I had a lot of back and forth with some drivers after my tire change (TurBro_Turner and Nightpacker117 ) and the result was much better than I had hoped for after starting 9th. Enjoy !

Do we know what N100 car is being used for tomorrow’s Nations Cup round at Laguna Seca? I’m thinking it’s the Fiat 500 they just added.

It's free choice - as you'll see from entering Free Practice, or the ranking leaderboards.

Huh, neat. Idk if we’ve seen a free choice N100 race before. What seems to be the general trend for the most popular cars? I mean stuff like the drivetrain. I don’t recall there being a ton of cars that can be tuned down to N100, either. I was thinking FF or 4WD cars would be the most popular given how there’s only that start/finish straight.

I also would imagine some cars would be ruled out, like the kei cars, or some of the older cars that come stock at around 60hp.

So maybe the Suzuki Swift, Honda Fit, and Abarth 500 would be the most popular, then? Other mentions would be the Peuegot RCZ, Alfa Romeo MiTo, Citroën DS3, Honda Civic Type R ‘98, Mazda Atenza, and both iterations of the Renault Clio R.S. 220.
