Just finished the race and I have won it lol

Started at p6 and no one wanna team up with me at first, so I followed others until the end of t1. Suddenly someone lost control and 3-4 cars crashed lol Luckily i avoided and someone finally teamed up with me after that...

At the very last few hundred meters someone pulled the trigger and tried to pass me, but someone bump-drafted me and I won lol

Not sure if anyone wants to watch the replay but if yes then let me know, I can upload it later... but it was quite boring if you’re not playing hahahaha

There's other things to joke about this race other than in-race conduct, such as Michelin tires on ovals (for context: 2005 US GP; I joked about this back during the World Tour race with Super Formulas at BMB), similarities to your typical SSRX lobby races, or the racing being better than NASCAR Heat 5, but this race is my site of my first FIA win. Granted, it's a D/S fest, but a win is a win.

This race makes me wish there's NASCAR cars in the next GT game, by the way.

It seems like PD surprisingly had the foresight to remove penalties for this race, but even then they still can't follow all the way through with it...
I would definitely be interested in having a daily/weekly race at SSRX. As long as there was no penalty for bump drafting or hitting walls. A penalty for wrecking someone else would be fine.

GTPlanet gang! If you see me in a slot today I will work with you. I'm going in the R34 first slot.

Tried some practice races last night with @Lost Sheltie - in my experience you want to be high where possible on the corners, you want radar on at all times, and you want to hang back before the last corner and time your slipstream to catch up about halfway through it (or between turns 3 and 4, if you're a Nascar fan). As far as I can tell if you drive the NSX or sls you'd be as well not bothering, but most others should be comparable. Good luck everyone.

Foresight would have been to make this a daily race, and not including it in a championship where prizes are handed out.
There have been several times where they would make an FIA race into a Daily Race a week or 2 afterwards. I'm not sure if that was intentional, or just because their lack of originality lately means it's not that unlikely that FIA and Daily races would inevitably see similarities. Either way, we might still see this in a Daily. I'd rather have BMB or Northern Isle though...

Honestly I'd love a Northern Isle FIA race too, with pit stops! So it would have to be at least 60 laps, but I think it would be more fun than SSRX, and the outcome wouldn't be determined purely by chance like SSRX. We had an FIA race at BB Raceway a long time ago and I wish they'd do it again.

Note to anyone who cares about qualifying. A 2 man slipstream train doesn't work. You need at least 3. Went from 18th to 11th and was a load of fun. Someone tried to pass me to the right before the start finish line and hit the pit wall. Think it might have been @ivann

Lost a negligible amount of DR so will be going again ... in over an hour?! What a strange race day.

From 19th to 3rd for 213 pts, I'd have won if it wasn't for that dirty greek driver (GRIGO_GM, I don't like to name but he's ALWAYS dirty) who rammed the 2 cars going to overtake him before the finish line.

Avoid the chaos, time your last attack with the slipstream and you should get a good result!

PS: going again, it's a fun race and the growing tension before the last corner is pretty exciting ;)
