Have you been doing the HSR event? Have seen a few of the regulars from the old Autumn Ring event (this one seems to attract some if the same drivers), but haven't come across you yet!
No I race at the grand valley 500pp event, I like the longer event, its still only 3 laps but takes longer to do those three laps I'll be on it tonight & I might try the high speed ring the next night, if I can find a car to use.

I was running the NSXR in the Ring event until somebody brought out the Alpine VGT street car. Like an X2010 against a Fiat...

Reset the trans to stock settings. Then set the trans to 149, then change each individual gear to the settings listed, then change the final drive to the setting listed. Works like a champ.

Absolutely thank you so much. Yes I was setting speed then final then individual gears and it just wouldn't quite work. Now it's perfect. Thanks again

I tried 1 inch up Motegi wheels and 2 inch up versions with good success btw. MN6WS6 got it spot on for the trans. :)

Raising rear ride hieght (or front) also adds traction, but at the expense of recovery, or response feel.

It's a loose fast rotate the center of corner set up that I love and I'm leaving it lol thanks again for the genius set up. So you're saying I can change to 2" larger wheels and won't compromise set up at all?

Oh yea I washed the dang car and had to lower the power limiter big time. Also, do you suggest adding/upgrading rigidity?

For the High Speed Ring event also try the W12 Nardo with minimum aero, zero camber and set trans to 320kph, or the Ferrari GTO '84. I have had a great deal of success with these vehicles. The Nardo is very easy to switch from high to low line in traffic (just lift A bit and reset the nose on a tighter line).

lol, I haven't washed it yet to see what happens. The wheels work well, less sidewall deflection. But I didn't notice a big difference.
Ridgidity will add consistency, but takes away a tiny bit of traction on real race cars. I have one car with it and one without, but I'm having a hard time finding a difference in lap times.

I did try an Elise race car, the 04. It works well, a dog on the long straight, but really rocks the turns well and mid 1:53's are pretty easy. Next I'm trying the 96 version.

Ok thanks. I finally got races in the 5:50s some 1:53 but 1:55 laps consistent but can't get 5:48s its prob just my driving but seems my car is slowing as I keep running into oblivion hehe. Oh btw I changed the oil and washed it before lol

So who's gonna say BUY THIS CAR for HSR 550 QM? Sock it me. Folks I need a kick in th butt so I can come and play competitively. I've already bought million dollar cars that suck so now I'm tentative to buy and I'm kind of against that little GXR thing or whatever it is but it's only car that eve sort of keeps up

Racing under my back up handle I came across a couple of really good racers, HIPGUY and FIREBALL I think was the other? Also a couple meat heads, LICRED and another guy who even waited for me and tried to crash me out of the lead. Watching the replay I think he thought I was the other pink and black RX7 race car that hit him early.

People are serious about keeping you from passing clean. I worked for two laps to pass one guy for the lead without bumping him, I got it clean, next turn, bam, pushed me off into the sand. Either dirty or driving above his limits. lol

But mostly good racing and a new personal best of 5:41.1 with the Opera.

HSC 03 is my favorite car for the ring so far, fast, easy to control. There are faster cars, like the Miura, but the sketchy makes it easy to biff up. The Enzo is great too. I can post those setups after the gym tomorrow night if you'd like?

A couple things I can give you advice on, as far as simulator driving. Don't drive so hard you're trying to keep up with the car, make the car do what you want. If that makes sense. For most that means 85-90% of what feels crazy maxed out.
The last is, it's REALLY important to brake at the right spots and stay in the racing line, or close. Pushing wide from late braking in just half the turns is costing over a second a lap. Thats where I pass most racers!

Hope you don't mind my input on that. I see it A LOT!

Wow 5:41 impressive. I hope I wasn't that douchebag you speak of. I have had a bash fest with some ahole who was just mad I kept winning and clean so he started all that crap waiting intentionally wrecking me it sucked ruined my mojo and flow. I also tried being clean and barely rub a guy and get penalized that's a tough pill. Maybe you speak of FIREHAWK in that ugly square but sick fast rally car but he's awesome. We had some sweet battles earlier. I filmed the tv of a replay where battled the whole race back and forth it was how it should be

L8r_g8rs, psvdm and myself just had an epic clean battle. Fun fun. I was right on psvdm but couldn't do anything with him plus I make small mistakes and I think I was holding up g8r but thank you guys awesome time

Next 3 races I leaned on one of them in a big crowded mess and I rightfully got the penalty second got ram rodder from behind by some crazy fast red car then I again barely tapped someone and got penalty in third race so threw in the towel. Too many races too much fun too much grinding last couple days I've run out of talent Time for car purchase, one or two HSR, bed then 3 am back to reality and work:(. It's been a gas thank you all.

I absolutely agree, I understand, I know better and I most definitely value you're input and advice. I'm not too proud. Later last night and early this morning I was on rails for a while hitting all my marks doing everything you're saying and knowing it. It felt as easy as it looked. I was very proud to go from 6:20s yesterday morning to 5:50s last night but now I've fallen apart hehe. I am way too over done right now and an just letting the car drag me around under Late braking, I'm overdriving the entries, I'm sloppy frankly I'm embarrassed but I know I'm doing it that's why I threw in the towel. I'm going to have GV nightmares tonight lol. Have a blessed night and again thank you all. I'll see you tomorrow evening hopefully. I may do a few start and parks for cash while get ready fir bed and read up/choose a new HSR car but YES I'll move my stupid car into the dirt off the racing line. Wth is that about people leaving their rides in the line?

Tsukuba is fun, I'm getting good at it and win 8/10 races. Sometimes there is a better driver in it, But I'm starting to find my rhythm, Fastest race 4:09 . Good job PD:cheers:.

AWESUM!! Thanks so much for this set up bud! Picked up another 1.1 seconds from my tune,, ran a 1:51.36 in testing,, now to join the QM and see what we can do!

Thank you so much. Which is your choice? The old p400? I always see that thing leaving my ass in the dust.

Give the link a second or 2 to load up properly and it'll take you to the Esprit 350. Easy 1:04's and 3:23-4 totals. Got to be smooth with it through the high speed sections though.

If you want something other than the usual (HSC, Miura, Shelby, Nardo) suspects, the Ferrari GTO, GTR Tokyo Concept, M5's and 3's and LFA Nurb Package give a good account of themselves.

Have a look in @praiano63 and @shaunm80 garages in the tuning section for whole bunch of cars in sport soft shoes and 550pp. Both are excellent tuners.

Sorry for double posting but is anyone else having problems connecting to the GT6 servers? I keep getting ID = 1:536 (could not establish a connection) errors but I can sign into PSN fine.

Edit: I guess this is why.

In GT5 Prologue (if memory serves correct) player matching for online races was random, like QM in GT6. Back then we figured out that joining/entering races at a set time gave us a very good chance of getting matched up in a room together, and led to some of the most epic battles I have ever experienced in a GT game. I am very interested to know if this is possible with the current Quick Match races. If so we are missing a golden opportunity for clean and VERY profitable racing with like-minded folk. Anyone tried this? Want to? I'm up for it.

Regarding the current HSR event, agree about the Nardo, Miura, Shelby, etc. being very effective. I'm still tinkering with the FX45 Concept, I'm typically about 2-3 seconds behind those cars by the finish. Lack of top speed is killing me. I've yet to be beaten off the line though.

Racing at Tsukuba is more challenging. I haven't mastered carrying speed in the RX-7. The Tesla is fast-once it gets moving. You will be last by the first turn, regardless of where you start. It carries a lot of speed through the turns and has good top speed, so making your way through traffic toward the front of the field is possible with a little luck and good timing. When you manage a win...it's certainly been earned.

There is a possibility to run these events in a GTPlanet club lobby.
Ofcourse it won't pay out like the current QM events, but it'll be more fun due to clean drivers

I don't believe the matching process is completely random, with 22,000 rooms available I seem to end up racing some of the same people most nights!

Just two hours' Tsukuba, won three million credits. Stops the network.... all away:censored:

Now I know why I haven't been on HSR, mayhem & bedlam come to mind, either cars were spinning in a cloud of in front of me & me
Getting a 10 second penalty for the pleasure of touching them, or me causing 10 second penalty by breaking early, (sorry to anyone
Last night) the latter I can fix by not breaking so early, but I can't fix all the ram raider's or cars parked on the racing line on a blind
Corner,so thanks but no thanks.
I think I'll stick to grand valley at lest if there's a basher its a one to one basis which I can cope with I can't cope with 5 of them spanning
& bashing in front of me all the time especially at my age lol.
