Subaru WRX STi

Battle Royal

Results Post

This is a two track one tune challenge. Meaning you have to provide one tune for the car that will be used on two tracks. You are allowed to make one change to the provided tune for each of the tracks if desired. A setting anyplace in the tune. As an example you want to change the Dampers, you can change one of the two dampers options Compression or Extension, the setting may be changed for the front -OR- rear setting, on the car.

Tires are required to be changed for each track

Installed parts are not allowed to be changed, just the settings. Eg you can’t change from High RPM turbo to Mid RPM turbo, Ballast is the exception I consider this a setting not a part, As long as the change keeps the car with in the rules of the class.

As this is a rivalry battle there will be a lottery of sorts. Based on what was done in past FITT challenges, Tuners will sign up, the list will be randomized by @DigitalBaka *thank you sir*, I will randomize a list of numbers, than I will match up the lists and the order tuners can get to pick which car they want to tune. You are picking make not models. So example You say Evo’s you can tune any evo from the list for your class(es) There will be one list per class.

If you submit your make request prior to all the people above you be advised if the slots for that make fill up you will be defaulted to the other one. The number of each STi or Evo allowed for each class will be half the number of tuners. If the number is odd. I will go get my gaming dice and roll the die closest to the number of entrants (going over and rerolling if the number is invalid), if your number comes up you get to pick which ever you want and it won’t count to the maximum for that make.

Tuners are allowed to sign up for up-to two classes for tuning. Test drivers may drive all three if they wish.

Late sign up; If you sign up after the deadline. you will NOT have a choice in the make you get to tune. You will be randomly assigned a make for the class you sign up for.

All tuners and test drivers must be familiar with FITT standardized rules of competition found here

Time Table

Sign up deadline May 18th.
May 19th-20th Tuners pick which side they are going to tune for STi or Evo.
June 4th Tuning deadline all tunes must be submitted. If it’s in the thread before I get to the site June 5th its good.

Test Drivers and Lap times
Testers when building cars please be sure you are checking to make sure you have replaced rims on the cars. They do have a impact on the car and need to be tuned for. I will be breaking down the tunes by rim size to help out so you can test by rim size for each model that's entered, I will also do my best to sort the tunes by model as well.
Testers please see the scoring post below for details on how to score the tunes thank you.

Results and Scoring

Scoring;

Lap time; will be the combined lap time for both tracks.

Provide your best lap for each track you drive please clearly mark which track it's for. If possible please use the following order for your results so that I am less likely to mix up a time.

Sti Vs Evo Results sheet

Driver's choice - Each tester will score each tune on the scale listed below. Driver's choice scores will then be averaged across all testers. The maximum number of DC points that can be earned is ten points. Please choose driver's choice on a scale of 0.0 to 10.0.

Please provide a score for each for each car. the final DC score will the average of the two tracks. The final DC standings will be based on the combined average. I will handle the averaging.

Driver's choice scale:
10.0 among the best tunes you have driven in GT6
7 to 9 a great tune that could be a little faster if...
4 to 6 a good tune that needs a few adjustments to become a contender
Under 4 a tune that needs work (please be specific with feedback with any tunes listed here)

Tuners point system;
A 10 point system that @Motor City Hami introduced with the FITT Miata challenge.
10 points for first than a divided score of 10 for each position down the ranks.

Final Results.

Yes I will compete! :scared:
Tuna for me self in the Pro Spec Rally Cross and if I have time Street Racers. Forgot about a vacation my wife planned that is during the tuning time :dunce:

I went over the rules a few times and I didn't see it stated if we can enter all 3 classes if we so desired. I will tune for Spec and Street for now. :odd:

Knew I forgot somthing I read the rules like 10 times prior to posting too thank you
Corrected.

Why Ride height limited to a 10 points rack ??? This is just one of the important setting parameter together with the others to have a performant car. It´s just backward but it´s not a glitch.
Talking about 4WD principally, without this option you´ll not have the best tune without it, at least for most of those cars.
This is just my opinion. Good luck for the contest.
><(((((°>°°°°°°°°°°°°

@DolHaus sounds good to me lot of cars to sort though. I saw that when i was checking the cars weeding out the ghosts that power displaying the dealer was not what I got when I went to the tuning screen :odd:

@praiano63 I decided to limit the ride height difference to keep things little more even with the tunes. having a 30 point rake on a car makes it handle like it's a NFS game imo.
I will admit don't know if real life pro racing teams run rakes of 20+ mm differance to improve handling or not just doesn't seem right to have a large differance to make the car turn like a slot car.

wow big diffferance on the Evo V didn't notice that one...
Sneaky old Mr Bishi!
I think it has something to do with the gentlemen's agreement thing between the big Asian manufacturers, they all agreed not to make performance cars with more than 276 Bhp. As it turns out they've all been cheating for years and just listing the Bhp as 276 when it may be a lot more (I think Nissan was the biggest offender with the Skyline). Its similar to the Mercedes/BMW 155mph limit, they both claim its there but it really isn't.

it was 3 seconds faster than the rest of the group. same with the rest of the Spec C STi's and the RS evo's. They would had to have been their own class.
Hmmm I'll have to have a look at my other wrx's
Can I be entered for street racers class please?

Ok. So I am in for Street Racer and Pro Rally Cross. I am crossing my fingers that I land on the proper side of the lottery because I really, really, really like one of the cars in the list. I will take any to tune, but I really, really, really, really like one of those cars.
Entered and updated.
