One word: Pineapple.

There's not a single better fruit (food, even?) than fresh cut pineapple.

Thats the winning vote right there. 👍

I love fruit, but I find that I can't eat a lot of the kinds I like because they make the roof of my mouth really itchy for some reason. This happens the most with apples, peaches, and pineapple. I'm not sure what it is that does it to me, but the itching is so annoying that I usually avoid those fruits even though I love the taste. Because of this, I mostly eat citrus, I love oranges, tangerines, and clementines.

Yea, bananas and apples are pretty easy. My big problem is with tomatos, lettuce, and bean sprouts. I guess those last two are both veggies, but I'm kinda thinking of produce in general.

I also have trouble getting plums, peaches, cantelopes etc. to the right degree of ripeness - but I guess this is something everyone struggles with.

I struggle most with tomatos. If you refrigerate, they don't taste very good. Leave them out and they go bad in moments.

Try keeping tomatoes in a cool, dry cupboard.

Really? You obviously never tried Starfruit.

But yes pineapple is good, as are bananas, strawberries, MANGOES(Don't forget the MANGOES!!!) - I have 2 mango trees in my backyard, and two Papaya trees, but I hate papaya - CranRasberry juice really good, but I can never figure out what to do with a normal cranberry all on its own.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have practically eaten most of the fruits i can get my hands on.

Favorites are mangoes and melons(watermelon, honeydew!!)

Among the more exotic(to most of you guys) fruits i have eaten is durian:tup: , dragonfruit, papaya(i like them too), pomelo, rambutan, mangosteen.....

damn i miss them now that im in London and can't get them....:indiff:

I know some superstores stock dragon fruit and some do pomelo.

My mum makes it a chore to find the most exotic fruit and bring a few home.

I eat an apple a day guaranteed unless Im on a Holiday. During break when my friends go out to smoke, instead of standing there like a plum with them I take an apple to eat while thay smoke  When Im at home I hardly eat fruit unless there are grapes in the house. They dont last an hour when Im around.

My favorite fruit is Mango, I would like to eat more but their sooo messy, I just have the mango juice instead.

I think i may have seen dragonfruit..but they are different.
There are 2 types of dragonfruit, the white vietnamese type and the red malaysian type(the colour of the flesh). While i eat both kinds, the red malaysian type is tastier.
Those sold here should be the white kind.
Never did see pomelos tho.

The durians are also different from home as those sold here are thai durians. Once you have tasted 'real' durian as in malaysian durian, thai durians don't cut it anymore...
But thai durians are perfect for export tho...as they cut them before they ripen and fall so they last longer.
Back home, durians are left to fall on their own before picked and that makes the difference between yummy and so-so.

Try eating organic. We [my family] have this problem with apples, strawberries and other fruits (mangoes etc) and it was solved by buying organic. Many people say it is more expensive and it probably doesnt look as good as supermarket, but it tastes much better and since it doesnt have pesticides, is also better for you. If you have a farmer's market around where you live, try it. Ask the farmers about how they grow it. They don't have to be certified organic--cause thats expensive as hell--but just farmers market food without pesticides is good too. 👍

To the rest of the thread: Have you ever tried breadfruit? Lol, not to be eaten as a fruit! It is cooked! Pretty good though.

Yes, I Believe there is. It's called a Peach.

Favourite Fruits In Order of likes:
Peaches
Cherries
Apples
Bananas
Oranges.
Papaya.

Peaches Own All.

mmmm..i forgot..

Lychee and longans are very good too...no matter tinned or fresh:tup:

Honeybell tangelos are my favorite; a pity that they're only available for about 3-4 weeks out of the year. They're just below the threshold to "too sweet", have no seeds, and are easy to peel. They usually are available this time of year, too.

Otherwise, navel oranges, bosc pears, Driscoll's strawberries, or pulots get me through the rest of the year.

I consider tomatoes separately; the best are the vine-ripened variety, and if I can't get those, I'll get the Romas, which are less acidic and have more flavor than the Beefsteak variety which are found all over Florida.

I'm trying to make a list of fruits that I like, but I'd make such a huge post...I actually can't think of a fruit I do not like.

Of all fruits, i gotta say i like mangos, banana and durian the most.

Yes durians are very controversial. Those who have eaten, or even smelled one either likes it a lot or dislikes it alot

I like almost all fruits, but the favorite would be the peaches. When I was a kid, it was strawberries. I still like strawberry shakes, but I really don't know what I saw in strawberries.

Other favorites include: Bananas, pears, watermelons, cherries.

Can't beat apples. Though watermelon and banana's come close. Sadly, I've grown out of liking strawberries, and will now only eat them in jelly form.

How many people grew out of strawberries? I think there must be more of us!
