I get the intriguing appeal for these cars that some folks have, but how about we get some new modern race cars for a change?
Do you mean that Citroen want to advertise a car the haven’t sold since last century? It's usually the car maker who wants a specific car being advertised in game. The developer does that in order to get access to the car they want to put in the game. This was explained by Kunos when people asked about the cars choices in AC.
okYour friend is incorrect.
It's a Tres Riche (TR) model or higher, which has the extended - and smoked - glass panel in the C-pillar.
Edit: Just to make it a bit clearer:

It also has the wee black plastic spoiler on the tailgate if you look veeeeeeery closely:

BX16 or BX19 TRS is my guess.
I feel like this is a bit obvious though - it's very vanilla content they'd be working on anyway they can probably quite easily add to keep updates rolling in steadily. There’s only one thing I don’t get about this “they’re giving us a great roster of GT8 starter cars” argument - while the statement itself is true, wouldn’t it make more sense for these cars to be first available in GT8 day one rather than in a random GT7 update to begin with?
Where were you in May of last year?or a Civic EG that would be interesting!
PD have been going a bit mad with the aero options in GT Auto... 😮
That 7 seems really low?-105 cars are new in GT franchise and 7 return from previous games
Unfortunately it's usually on vehicles that have no actual use for them, such as the CR-V, and potentially the new Peugeot 2008. I love the options, but it is a bit of a slap in the face to not be able to tune these things in such a way to be able to justify them. The CR-V is an especially egregious example. I mean, fully "tuned" (i.e an ECU upgrade) it has a whopping 188hp with 1258 kg's (nearly 2800lbs) to lug around. I very much doubt it needs a full Pikes Peak style aero kit for that level of performance.PD have been going a bit mad with the aero options in GT Auto... 😮
Instantly recognised it, having spent years in the back of my granddad's 2 BXs growing up.
Like him, I will be buying a blue one first, then trading it in for a red one after. I think the red one was Phase 2, whereas the blue one was Phase 1.
Praying they have those colour options available.
For me, this is the best GT7 update of them all, as I literally spent my childhood in BXs (well, and my dad's Skoda 120L Estelle - if they can add that in the next update please![]()
)
I’m thinking more about such cars as traffic for European races. Maybe traffic at Le Mans or Alsace events. There’s only one thing I don’t get about this “they’re giving us a great roster of GT8 starter cars” argument - while the statement itself is true, wouldn’t it make more sense for these cars to be first available in GT8 day one rather than in a random GT7 update to begin with?
At the least a front splitter and rear wing(maybe the Sport model wing option) will be choices. Racing suspension, slicks, racing exhaust and transmission will be enough. Cosmetic options like the grille to change headlights could be a possibility. That's assuming we can even get the body ready.
My grandad would drive to the local ford (river not car), just to use the lever and lift up the car to drive through itHaha, snap! My Dad had a D reg BX which would have been a phase 1 ('84 I'm guessing) Lovely car at the time, very comfortable 😁
Something to do I supposeI grew up watching my older brother

Perhaps they intend to introduce a European city track and wish to populate it with traffic as back markers like that Tokyo Civic race last month? A lot of these additions in 2025 are/or are present in the European/European Market.
Toyota GT One👀GT1? which one?
CLK LM, F1 GTR 97, F1 GTR 1995 are the only GT1 race cars in the game.
I will review my filters, but when is a differebt year or trim I count them as new (e.g. the Evos VIII and IX)That 7 seems really low?
I have it as 22 for exact matches: Cappuccino, Escudo, Silhouette, Kenmeri, S14 K's Aero, Celica WRC, XJ220, R32 Nismo, Evo III GSR, LFA, 190 E, 400R, TTS, GT-One, Chevelle, R31 GTS-R, EG Civic, NSX GT500, 430 Scuderia, Gallardo, Evo VIII, and Z4.
Plus cars like the C5, the Imprezas and the other Silvia which aren't exact returnees but may as well be.
True, but they all had multi-gear transmissions and a lot of tuning options. The CH-R and CRV are CVTs with few tuning options and are just... boring. The CX-30 is much better as it has a traditional transmission, which allows it to be fun right out of the box, and the ability to add power to it which keeps that fun going.I'm a girl, don't lynch me, I grew up watching my older brother in the early Gran Turismo and I still remember the cars at the beginning of the game like Corolla Levin, Yaris or Demio, and, in my opinion, I think that crossovers like the C-HR S, CX-30 and now the 2008 are just a future version of those starter cars.
Not sure if you are too old, but you repeat yourself 😁I don't understand all this hate in updates. Gran Turismo has always had "everyday cars" which includes SUVs, station wagons, sedans and hot hatches and more. This is nothing new and something that has been going on since the first Gran Turismo and what makes this series special and different from Forza and other racing games. Maybe I'm getting too old to understand this generation of gamers?
The GT One 1999 is a LMGTP. The GT1 era ended in 1998Toyota GT One👀
That’s what I posting I’m thinking. It makes sense.Perhaps they intend to introduce a European city track and wish to populate it with traffic as back markers like that Tokyo Civic race last month? A lot of these additions in 2025 are/or are present in the European/European Market.
