Ok, here's a short video that should clearly show the problem. It also shows that the in-car rev counter and the in-game rev counter differ by 1k. That explains why @Highlandor couldn't see the problem.

Yes, you are correct. I tried this again today but used cockpit view and the revs are limited is 6000, but change the view to bumper cam and the engine revs to 7000+.

So looks like a bug :boggled:

I keep getting the CE210610 error add the game was running fine an hour ago, took a small break and turned my ps5 off and now it’s forcing me into offline mode when my WiFi and PSN connection is good. How do I fix this?

Hi,

I’m not quite sure if this is the right thread, but I got a strange effect.

For example I use the Porsche GT3 R time track on Watkins Glen and drive on hard race tyres

1:50 normal -> Top Speed 245
and 1:54 with high rpm turbo and 800HP -> Top Speed 230 ….

First time I noticed, that something is not correct was with the Alfa 4C, and after changing the gear settings, it works. I thought this an issue of the car, but perhaps it is something in the settings since update 1.68 ?

Gear setting change with the Porsche changed nothing.

And even stranger is, that in the morning I won the weekly challenge Tokyo Express (PP 800) with the GT3 R without any issues… and for sure more top speed :)

I'm not sure if this was an intentional change or an oversight, but the engine startup sound of the ɛ̃fini RX-7 Type R (FD) '91 has been changed to that of the Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) '02.

What it sounded like in v1.68:

If any PD staff reads this, please consider changing the engine start sound to what it had been previously. Thank you!

I read somewhere on here recently that I wasn't the only one experiencing this VERY annoying issue that's become more prevalent recently...

Using the d-pad to navigate around the menus, it frequently becomes totally unresponsive to the point today I had to press the same direction 5 times to get the cursor to move when in GT Auto. Immediately tested on the PS5 menu to eliminate input issue, and using the analogue seems to work fine.

It has always happened now and again, but significantly more noticeable since the last update.

Whenever I change oil, wash car, rebuild engine or rebuild chassis my game freezes and I get a black screen, I have to turn game off and restart to fix it. Is this a new only problem, I don't see it mentioned elsewhere,

Doing virtually everything in the game pings the servers, so your first steps are to clear your network cache (in the Options menu) and then try everything you can try in our pinned Connection Issues thread if you haven't already.

From there on it gets a bit suboptimal, so hopefully that fixes it.

Usually I'm pretty good with clearing cache but I would guess it's been 4-6 weeks since I did. This started after the last update and the car maintenance area is the only trouble I have had.

From my experience, certain "troublesome" liveries cause this issue. I've never had this issue with a car with simple or no liveries.

The cars show up in the garage, races, and replays just fine, but for some reason accessing GT Auto seems to make the game ping the servers for the car's livery every time, and sometimes it just won't feel like delivering. The issue often resolves itself after I step away from the game for a while.

Attempting to do anything car related in GT Auto in that state, such as oil or wheel changes, just causes a softlock with an infinitely spinning GT icon. Attempting to load the livery or creating from existing livery will also softlock the game.

I'd like to think I'm on a solid, stable wired internet connection and it still happens occasionally. I'm on the base PS5.

Sadly, as has been discussed in the Livery Editor subforum, there seems to be no known workaround for this to this day; not unless you're open to reverting your car livery back to the original just to do maintenance on it.

If you don't play in online races, you can always hit Retry → Car Settings. Simply bringing up the quick menu to change tyres will reset all mileage accrued in that session along with the associated wear and tear that comes with mileage.

I know none of what I've written is ideal, but I hope this helps nonetheless.

exactly, on base ps5 as well, liveries with excessive decals can often cause the game to slightly lag out, but (touchwood) haven't has such a problem to your extent myself. I've never cleared cache.

Thats interesting, the car I just had in GT Auto and created problems for me did have a custom livery, I have another same car with the stock livery, I will give it a try. One thing that may be different is that when I have the error I don't have the spinning wheel, just a completely black screen but as I recall the sound is still playing. Thank you for the help.
