No worries - I meant quit the “scene” at the end of the race, that shows the cool down lap. I just wondered if the game needs that. But that can’t be the case as I’ve finished races where there are people yet to finish
I don’t know if this could account for the timing error, but I think the game plays out the race in the few seconds between crossing the finish line and the X button appearing. I’ve been robbed of the fastest lap a few times after finishing the race showing the top lap time, and there was nothing in the replay to account for it.

As I mentioned in first post, it does not affect actual gameplay but the noting of numbers being incorrect worries me to wonder what other numbers does GT7 make mistakes with... PP calculations etc...

Post note, the timing numbers seem to be correct now, I'm not seeing this error anymore, noticed this being correct in the weekly challenge race...

I am having frequent game crashes/freezes on PS4 at the end of races (maybe only in custom races, I didn't pay attention), on the screen where you get your daily reward.

Just bought a De Tomaso Mangusta (Christian Dior) from Legend Cars, it doesn't show a year, the open book ownership indicator, and it hasn't registered as being owned in the garage, closing the game and restarting and the issues listed remain, this is on PS5.

Yes, all of that is correct.

That car does not - and is seemingly not intended to - qualify as a collectible vehicle as either its own entry or as an example of the regular Mangusta.

This is why we flag it separately on our Master Car List.

The headlight reflections for the Porsche Mission X is bugged. It's just two huge white circles. I noticed it both in the delivery animation when purchasing the car and in scapes mode. Taken on PS5 Slim in Quality mode.

Edit: according to another user, the Hyundai VGT suffers from the same problem

I keep getting audio dropouts during GT7 on the PS5 since the last update.

It's happening about every 20 mins of gameplay at it's getting quite distracting at times.

Anyone else getting this?

What might you have running in background, a paused game, Spotify, another streaming app?
I was getting dropouts when I had Spotify running, not every 20 minutes but somewhat regular and once I quit Spotify app no more dropouts

Mentioned this in the Weekly Challenge thread - but I somehow managed to 'clear' my progress in one of the events...

I did the event at Autopolis twice, winning both times on Normal difficulty, and received the 100,000 Cr. prize for that (top picture).

I then completed the Porsche event at the Nurb, meaning I had cleared two events (middle picture).

I then switched to Hard difficulty and did the race again, this time finishing in 6th place - after this, I realised that the event was now marked as not done (bottom picture).

I then did the race again on Normal difficulty, and despite lapping quicker than before (and setting purple laps), I could only finish a relatively distant 3rd place; however, this registered as completing the event.

Finally, I switched back to Hard difficulty to see if it would clear the event progress again if I finished outside the top 3, but this time it did not clear the progress and all appears to be back to normal...

--

edit: Well, well... I did it again and finished 5th, and it has cleared again... now to see if winning it gives me another Credit Ticket...

edit 2:
now to see if winning it gives me another Credit Ticket...
No, it's doesn't... 😢

The game is stuck with a spinning Jenkins (the cat) in the bottom right. I tried restarting the game and when I exit out of the startup movie, I'm back to watching Jenkins spin. So I powered the PS5 down and tried again. Same outcome. I'm now re-installing the game in the hope that that clears it. 😔

I've experienced this during the current Daily Race C (reversed Nordschleife).
After I pitted at end of lap 2 and had changed tyres to RMs shortly after exiting (around 1:03 in video) I get an engine damage indication flashing and stays flashing for over 4 minutes after I got punted into a barrier and when that damage cleared so did the engine damage.
I did not hit anything coming out of pit road or after and it just appeared and reduced my overall speed so much I was punted twice by others because I was slow.
Watch for yourself...

@jrbabbitt That's strange! I've only seen engine damage 3 or 4 times and always at LM during rain when I'm on slicks and crash into a barrier really hard. And then it always just lasted 30 seconds or so, but definitely not 4 minutes. No idea what happened here.
BTW: What's that flickering triangle on the right side?

I use stability assist...sorry, that i believe is traction control...

No, I guess you were right about stability assist. TC is the symbol more left.
Anyway, nobody seems to have an explanation for this, so indeed looks like a bug.

I've been intrigued by this race and doing it alot, but have not seen this bug again (yet)

When setting a lobby up for Practice / Qualifying / Race, there is no option to 'Save Replay' after qualifying. The only way to save a replay of qualifying is to for host to select 'End Race', which ends the race before it has begun. Only then will there be a 'Save Replay' option available and the replay it will save will be of qualifying. Note: Should you complete the full program (qualifying/race) and then save the replay, that replay will only be for the race and will not contain the qualifying session.

When changing bonnet pins on the Renault Captur the Camera is really zoomed out.

Around the front wheel arch there’s a triangular piece of body over the front wheel.

Ummm, think I broke the 962, ooops.

In my quest to try and catch up on missed 3 1/2 years, thought I'd kill 2 birds with one stone and venture into the world of aero and take my recently acquired Nissan R92 out for it's maiden voyage (just got it a few days before, not driven it).

Started as a test drive, ended up as a bit of a durability test for aero physics / setups for gt7, but all good, so, thought I'd do the same thing to (at the time) the only other car I could compare it to, which was the Porsche 962. Buuuuuut, didn't go quite so well.

Porsche 962 stock (power restrictor & ECU output @ 100%):

PP / Power / Aero FR RR / Tyres
855.07 / 690 / 750 1500 / Soft
845.47 / 690 / 750 1500 / Medium
835.36 / 690 / 750 1500 / Hard

Aero change to Min FR:

PP / Power / Aero FR RR / Tyres
825.32 / 690 / 500 1500 / Soft
814.91 / 690 / 500 1500 / Medium
803.98 / 690 / 500 1500 / Hard

Now changing the ECU output, noted below as EC% first then PP then Power:

HARD tyres:

100% 803.96pp 690(bhp)
99% 802.52 683
98% 775.78 678

97% 774.25 689
96% 773.08 662
95% 772.17 655
90% 764.87 621
80% 750.29 552
70% 733.68 483

MEDIUM tyres:

100% 814.91 690
99% 813.69 683
98% 812.32 676
97% 810.69 669
96% 809.42 682
95% 807.98 655
94% 780.63 648

93% 779.08 642
90% 774.42 621
80% 759.79 552
70% 743.52 483

SOFT tyres:

100% 825.32 690
95% 818.11 655
94% 816.71 648
91% 812.24 628
90% 784.01 621

89% 782.52 614
88% 781.23 607
80% 768.87 552
70% 753.10 483

But, if you reduce the PP using the power restrictor (with SOFT tyres), stock engine, aero MIN Fr MAX Rr:

100% 825.32 690
95% 819.45 655
90% 813.66 621
85% 806.94 586
80% 800.08 552
75% 792.95 517
70% 784.92 483

Soooo, we're done ummm, not quite. Put a turbo kit on, HARD tyres, 100% EC and Power restrictor, then start reducing power with ECU:

100% 844.78 987
95% 810.62 937
89% 803.86 878
88% 830.44 868

85% 827.75 839
80% 822.34 789

At some point I noticed my vodka bottle had lost half it's contents, so tried to take note of the numbers before eyeballs stopped pointing in same direction as each other, not sure if succeeded or not. This might explain why there could be a numerical error or two (in typing this up) as it looks as though I did a durability test on Smirnoff, alongside aero in GT7.

For those wondering what I'm talking about, look at the highlighted figures above. In some situations a 1% reduction in ECU power can result in a 25+ PP points reduction (way more than what it should), but in the last example, doing a 1% reduction adds 25+ pp points.

Hard to tell which way round the PP is right, I tuned a few Group Cs for 800pp (not a very scientific test as it was at CGV - I needed practice as was doing a race there). But 'using' the PP gained from reducing ECU with stock engine for better tyres (Soft front and Med rear), didn't result in the fantasy car I thought it would - as running min aero on Fr and max aero on RR does tend to make car understeer a bit (understatement).

So, in theory, using those PP points 'gained' and putting softs on front and meds on rear (which is all you can do to keep it under 800pp) should compensate for the aero induced understeer, but although it helped alot, it didn't make the car a huge amount faster than the other Groups Cs. Although the other cars had a custom suspension (only) to compensate for the crazy aero settings and the 962 was stock suspension, diff and gears. All had min FR aero and max RR aero...

If you made it this far, and understood what happened, fair play to you.....

EDIT:

Forgot to say, did go through some random cars from garage with high aero like F3500, later SuperGT cars, GR1 cars etc and did a very quick check (in settings only, not on track) to see if running them completely stock, but with min fr aero / max rr aero and then reducing ECU output 1% at a time, but no car did anything 'wrong'.

But that was a quick test, and not as comprehensive as the 962. So it seems as though this looks like a 962 PP issue, rather than some kind of general min / max aero setting that applies to more cars.

Although, you can use this to 'cheat' a few pp points, but then you have to tune out the understeer, which can be done in a number a ways. But, got no idea if this makes the car 'faster' or if there's other benefits i.e. tyre wear.

Pretty certain my game is corrupt :indiff:

It won't load properly (it's been like this for ages, but now it is happening almost every time - twice today...); there is a sound bug (which I mentioned a days ago, but I can't find anything about it anywhere); the livery editor is broken and it is rendering some of my custom liveries useless - plus the editor is bugged as well, and keeps replacing decals with the decal below instead of moving layers.

It's a serious bug list for a game that is already on version 1.68 - and it means I will need to try a reinstall, and probably lose a bunch of stuff... just what I need right now...

I find at times that the engine sound cuts out or is only audible on the left. Really noticeable when using the home theatre system vs the headset.

Sorry, English isn't my first language and I'm not sure what that means in this context?
I tried the same car '71 Fairlady, I tried it on Le Mans (No chicance) as a test, I usually use 3rd person / chase can but tested it in both chase cam and 'bumper' cam.

I did 2 runs using a completely stock car I've never driven before and in both views it pulled way past 7k.

Maybe, in car settings, you create a new sheet (that puts settings) back to completely stock/default. Make sure you don't choose the duplicate option (as there is potential to duplicate the problem to - but adding new sheet won't do this).

Other than that, don't know.

I'm on PS4 (not sure that makes a difference)?

Hope you get it fixed 🤞👍
