Sorry for this maybe dumb question: Why people say that PD cant license Pratt & Miller cars? Have they got a fhight of something over a car? I couldnt find much in the internet. And then why they couldnt just ask GM for the license, i mean GM > Pratt Miller, they surely got more rights on the CX.r corvettes. But im not sure so thats why i am asking.

Image and copyright licensing is a very costly business

It's a theory rather than an absolute.

In essence, the C5.R appeared without issue in GT3-6. However the C6.R didn't appear in GT5/6, rather a lookalike was available through the Race Modification to the C6 ZR1 and C6 Z06, which made people suspect that the real car wasn't available for some reason - even though it was available in other games (as was the C7.R, and the C8.R).

Just to add to the issue, both of the RM cars had Pratt & Miller logos on them which is the sort of thing that might make a company Quite Cross: an unlicensed replica bearing its real logos...

People have supposed that it might have made P&M cross enough to blacklist GT. There's no solid evidence for that, but it's not an unreasonable explanation.

And then why they couldnt just ask GM for the license, i mean GM > Pratt Miller, they surely got more rights on the CX.r corvettes.
Pratt & Miller was the manufacturer of the cars. It also makes scanning them tricky when they have custody of them.

However it's worth noting that Oshkosh took over the company in 2020, renaming it Pratt Miller, and that as of 2023 Pratt Miller is not under exclusive contract to GM (but still runs Corvette Racing).

There you go... 1977 Fiat X1/9

(serious not a joke)
It was during the Covid period, and I rode it as a passenger for a few rides near my city. It was a Bertone X/19 model from the late 1980s (1989). To this day, I believe it to be one of Bertone's best cars; the prototype for which was produced in 1972.
I admit that this car has a fairly low center of gravity and fairly efficient acceleration, given its reduced displacement of 1.5 liters. It deserves to be considered.

Being totally fair, this VGT looks to be one of the betters, considering its not full EV, it looks cool and its an "Corvette", which just gives it another fell. Hope it also means that we can keep getting more chevys in the game specially modern and racing ones. (Im looking at you, C8 ZR1X and Z06)

Hybrid explicitly mentioned in the description, so it's not Gr.3 (unless they do the silly LM55/N2025 thing where there's two of the exact same model but one is grouped).

This one looks absolutely fantastic, and it's cool to see an official Corvette R linked with Gran Turismo... And i'm not a VGT fan at all honestly
I'm not trying to preach to the choir, but PSVR2 gives VGTs a different experience in game.
Can't wait to pass ridiculous amounts of time just looking a this car, and sitting inside just enjoying "being there".

Very nice surprise. I love GT.

Currently on vacay in beautiful Spain.
Maybe this thing is already downloaded and ready to go when I come back home.

It sure is a different experience to sit on the roof of a car while you drive. Hopefully this one has an interior.
The Mr. Bean experience.

Corvette cats out the bag.

Look forward to it in a future game update.

Now this on the official Gran Turismo channel, and website:

According to the article, the non-race version (at least) has a fan downforce system.

So there are indeed 2 cars coming instead of just one. Assuming they’re being added together and also in the next update, does this mean 2 out of 3 possible slots already taken?

The update with the two Italdesigns and the update with the two Super Formulas both had more than 3 cars to compensate, if you want some hope.

However, PD can do whatever they want, there's no guarantee there whatsoever.

All it took was talking about Corvette earlier for it to come out. lol
For sure. The ZR1X Nurburgring run
6:49.275 Nurb time for the ZR1X

And GT7 Car of the Week. You’re welcome. ;) :sly::lol:
While we mucked around with perhaps one of the most innovative and daring racing prototypes last week, we'll be going back to old school FR with V8 power in a road car this week; the last of the FR Corvettes, actually. Chosen by @05XR8 , we're featuring the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C7) '19!

Somewhat fittingly, the last time we at COTW featured the C7 was seven years ago, when GTS COTW featured the C7 Stingray, Gr.4, AND the Gr.3 racecars all in the same week! Now that we've sampled the C8 Corvette, let's see how prudent and justified that switch to rear mid–engine was...

Oh, and here's a bit of a PSA: bring extra changes of adult diapers, and keep TCS on in your ZR1!

~Single–Player Challenge!~

A simple Time Trial this week with a point to prove. Let's see how close the ultimate production FR Corvette can get to its utterly bonkers brother. This being a video game, where crashing is rather inconsequential, might just prove enough to close the gap...

Rules:

  • Course: Nordschleife
  • Stock Corvette C7 ZR1 (SM Tyres).
  • Tyre Wear & Fuel Con: 1x
  • Grip Loss on Track Edge: Real
  • Course Cutting Penalty: Weak

Of course, fastest time wins!
I guess this is it. The last update and then GT8 gets announced. Such a shame PD are giving up on GT7. Chevrolet didn’t get the message that fans are calling it. What a waste of time for a fading game… :sly:

On a serious tip, this has to be one of the best VGTs. Genesis hit the mark with both cars. Audi didn’t as well. The Corvette will fit nicely against those two, FT-1, Lexus and Bugatti VGT, for a mini vGT series.

Oh… and , Ford, your move:

See I always thought the Chaparral 2X was the General Motors VGT, hence it was listed as GM and not specifically Chevrolet.
But I guess even if it was, there have been occasions where a brand has done multiple VGT's before. Thinking of the original Peugeot VGT, and the newer L500R & L750R VGT's in particular.
