Funny thing, when I first got the Qashqai at Brand Central it looked familiar to me... the next day on my way to my work there was a Nissan Rogue in front of me and it clicked on why it looked familiar, the Nissan Rogue is the American version / name for the Nissan Qashqai.
The Rogue is the X-Trail. The Qashqai is the Rogue Sport.

Is still a Rogue and the body style and shape are same
It's not a Rogue. That's the X-Trail.

They're both CUVs, so it's not a surprise that the body style and shape are the same, but they're not the same car in the same way the Mazda CX-5 and CX-60 aren't: the X-Trail (Rogue) is 10 inches longer than the Qashqai (Rogue Sport), and has 2 inches more in the wheelbase. It's only called Rogue Sport in the USA to ally the "soccermom" car to the more "manly" Rogue for sales and marketing.

The X-Trail's fascia is designed to mimic the Armada, while the Qashqai is more similar to the Ariya. And I think the X-Trail only just gained the e-Power setup, post-facelift, but only with the e-4orce AWD rather than exclusively FWD as with the Qashqai.

My apologies for my errors in how I see things.

In Dutch we call this a koekblik (cookie jar). These used to have a barely rounded brick shape.
It’s a cool car, I’m still offended though(I’m not ;)). :sly::sly::sly:

Fresh out of the brand showroom
Well, there's your problem. The rest of the field is all lightly tuned. Somewhere between 350 and 400pp it seems (someone chime in if you've been able to figure that out).

This brings up a problem that has been bugging me since the very first "Special Event". There is no way to tell what state of tune the rest of the grid is without running the race and figuring it out through trial and error. I always have to run it a few times to get the tune juuuust right, as to not make the race too easy/hard. I have always wondered why they don't include any info on this type of race. It just seems like an arbitrary way of increasing difficulty.

I had no problems with them, and with sports suspension
That's not the point. They are objectively "Ok" in the rain at best. It's not about how well you were able to utilize them in this race. With this much rain they lost a lot of grip for EVERYONE. I did just fine in the race, and won by a massive margin, but that doesn't make comfort tires "good in the rain". Sports, and Intermediates are both better in the rain than the comfort tires. PD didn't specifically choose this car/tire/weather combo because the tires are good in the rain. They chose it to make the last half of the race a bit more challenging, and for most people it was.

It's funny how your perspective changes on the SUVs when someone close to you owns one. I never hated the SUVs in the updates but the CVT ones do have limited usability and there probably is a more sporty/track usage car to go in their slot, but my Mum owns essentially this exact model of Qashqai but from 2023. Same appearance and interior design. So when I woke up and saw this, I ran to show her - she's not into Gran Turismo, but she still found it cool to see her car there.

And so do I! I acknowledge there might be other cars which give more fun in the game but I'm not sure I would trade another car for the Qashqai. And maybe that's PD's thinking. I'm sure there are others who feel more receptive towards an SUV/CUV if they or someone they know owns one.

It is important though that they find ways to make use of them well in-game, and also the CVT cars. But I actually am excited for the Qashqai. I'm going to paint it grey like my Mum's and drive it around.

I'm a grown man but stuff like this is really cool. And I totally understand why others would go "A Qashqai? Eh, whatever." It's not gonna be the most dynamic car of all time but I have to say, despite that, seeing my Mum's car in game is going to be really cool.
I can relate to this to an extent. I’m lucky enough to have my Celica represented basically 1:1 with authentic TRD parts available in GT Auto, but my mom has a RAV4 and an NC Miata. Those appearing in the game would be a treat to share with her, especially since I’ve taken her to a few sessions at the Daytona 24 hours, including the MX-5 cup:

If either of her cars end up being added (both aren’t unlikely at this point), I may try to get a cheap sim setup and have her try racing her own cars on a track she’s visited IRL. We might both get to visit Road Atlanta in October so that’d make 2 tracks that she’d be familiar with.

Cool that you get to experience that.

For that reason, I just assume the AI is gonna be modified and show up with a built car accordingly. Granted I like doing builds anyway, but its on that anticipation that the AI is probably not gonna be stock.

Sure, but what level of tune is always the question. It ranges all over the place, and you don't know until you run the race. So your first attempt is always going to be with an under/overpowered vehicle, unless you happen to luck out with your tune.

It's not the end of the world, really. It's just a mild annoyance. I'd just rather know going into it, so I can spend my time tuning to a set point (or under if I want it to be more competitive), instead of playing the guessing game. As I said before, it just seems like a weirdly arbitrary way to add difficulty to the event. Maybe it's just me.

What's the lore behind the Millennium Jade Z-tune?

I know about the one they kept in MNPIII, but am not familiar with any Millennium Jade ones.
Hi,

There is likely a Millennium Jade Z-Tune. GTR Registry has it on their Z-Tune registry (website is down at the moment but should be back soon), but you can also see this post

GT-R Magazine (a Japanese publication) has mentioned the existence of a Millennium Jade Z-Tune in the past.

Ignition Models released a Millennium Jade Z-Tune model.

And now it's also in GT7, which could be further evidence that it probably exists.

Also there is 2 Z-Tunes in Midnight Purple III now, #10 which was left that colour, and #15 which was painted silver, and then in 2019 painted Midnight Purple III by Nismo Omori Factory at the request of the owner (V-Spec Performance in Melbourne, Australia).

I found it interesting that they're already doing the individual car showcase posts on social media already.
