We know the reason since day 1 of VR.

I think you VR people ignore it to be able to complain, thinking PD will change its opinion with enough noise. PD/Kaz don't change their minds, VR HUD will not change.
Please enlighten us then?
Why is it outside of the realm of possibility to move around a few hud elements?
And could you give us a link where it's been confirmed by PD/Kaz that they won't change the HUD under any circumstances, surely you ain't pulling those "facts" out of your a$$.

They never released an "official statement" that VR HUD will never change, as PD never does those kind of things.

But since day 1 they advertised that VR is not a replacement for monitors. VR intent for GT7 is maximum immersion. There is even a Kaz interview where he says "VR is a new form, and intent to be, art".

Having a complete HUD breaks immersion. Breaks PD/Kaz intent for VR. It would transform VR into a monitor (same features, same intent)

Not having HUD in VR it's not about being hard to implement or technical issues. It's about keeping the PD/Kaz vision of what VR should be. And PD/Kaz are really stubborn about their visions, they won't change this.
I don’t interpret those comments the same as you whatsoever. Having more live race info available to see in VR has nothing to do with monitors vs VR. But this is a discussion for the GT7 VR thread.

But there is a HUD in VR with actually a lot of stuff on the screen that is already immersion breaking, it's just not the stuff we'd want of find useful.
How do you then explain that?

There is a pretty simple and logical explanation for that. But I won't lose my time trying to have a adult conversation explaining things, just so you can "poop" it in return, like a child behaves in a discussion, just like you did on my last comment.

Yes, we now have a "floating" HUD in the middle of the car and another one at the top of the windshield that shows the gear number, but not the car's speedometer.

Why not install a Motec gauge on the car, it really doesn't break any immersion. It's a really common add-on that can be installed on any car, like a spoiler or bumper.

All of what you said is just your own very subjective interpretation of everything, you're acting like you have 100% bulletproof scientific evidence or like you're directly involved in the development, while you're just guessing, for all we know they might change the hud next update, just like they started adding new tracks and race cars when everyone started saying they ain't ever going to do it anymore in gt7, because of their "vision".
You're just speculating dude, like all of us.

The only reason I would ever willingly use a Gr.3 car (besides stuff like the Silhouette and older GT500s) is if the event absolutely mandates them, a.k.a. daily races, which are all locked to spec and have tuning disabled. ;)
All cars are "locked-to-spec" in Sport Mode. So your quote, "Not the same vanilla, locked-to-spec Gr.3 garbage" is misleading as the only time a Gr3 car is "locked-to-spec" is when BoP is applied, which is Sport Mode. Otherwise, they're free to tune like anything else.

That was my whole point. You can modify a Gr car all you want. But don't go into Sport Mode and expect to as you can't modify anything in Sport Mode: Gr car, road car, it doesn't matter. You don't like the addition of the Porsche. That's your opinion and that is fine. But you've claimed something is not possible, then admitted the only time you use something is the one place it's not possible ignoring literally the rest of the game which I am presuming you play the most since you hate BoPed cars so much (aka 99% of Sport Mode).

(Unless it's a specific Sport Mode tuning race, while rare, has has happened both with road cars and Gr cars.)

Anyway, moving on. I am looking forward to the Porsche. The other two cars not so much. Not a fan of Gr4 cars and the least of which the FF versions. Now I am off to see if PD updated any BoPs.

Pretty weird spec for the gift RSR compared to my Manu RSR.

Looks like it comes pre-BoP'd
I know you were joking but if I remember correctly when we got the BRZ it was PreBoPd. I was comparing it to the one I bought and I was trying to figure out what was the difference and someway or another I discovered it BoPd

I wasn't joking. I think those power/weight figures are the actual BoP, either the one used for us normies or the special one for the aliens. Have to check GT-Engine.

Yeah the Subarus last year had the power/ballast changed by default.

The gift F-3500B also has a nice power bump up 80 BHP(to 799 BHP). It’s also gained a bit of weight from 505 kg to 512 kg over the Brand Central model.

I was hoping for a bit more finesse in the N TCR but it felt just like the other GR4 FFs. I did only have a quick go on the pad so I could be wrong.

It sounds cool though. The latest cars seem to sound better when I try chase cam as well.

I got the chance this morning to try out the cars. TBH once I found out the Tuscan Speed Six got a V12 swap. I just so happened to have a spare Jag engine that I had been saving just in case. I did the swap on one of the many Tuscans I have. I used Reflex Spice and dropped the engine in there. I took I added the turbo to get it 987 hp and took it to Laguna Seca. It was a little bit wild at first but once I got used to it it was a blast. I think can do some tuning to get it to a sweet spot. Bought the new cars and tried the SU7. For a 2.5 ton vehicle it feels good. I really wish it had some type of sound beside the tire squeals. My only gripe with the stock version is the brakes I have brake a lot sooner than I wanted to. I added ceramic brakes and did the stage 3 lightening and the it got down from 2.5 tons to 1.5 tons didn't try it out yet though. I will try the other cars later. Again for me this is a great update.

Polyphony:

For licensing reasons, we’re calling the Elantra TCR the Elantra TC.

Also Polyphony:

I think mentions aren't bound by the same rules as actually featuring the cars - see the likes of Porsche's logo shown on Le Mans' banners in GT5/6 and directly name-dropped in the RUF descriptions.
Yup, that’s probably it. I’ve noticed this exact Porsche situation before, but hey, that’s worth the joke anyway.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.67 Now Available: Three New Cars, New Races & Circuit Experience, Engine Swaps and More

The first Gran Turismo 7 content update for 2026 is now available, with the 1.67 game update landing on consoles earlier this morning following the server maintenance period...
"In fact 1.67 is a little trimmer than that, just, at 999GB on PlayStation 5 and 928GB on PlayStation 4."

Wow, almost a 1 terabyte update. Maybe a GT8 demo is included 😋

(it's 999 MB)

So, a pretty funny thing with the GT3R is the default livery blacks out the rear window. That means that when you look backwards in cockpit view, all you see is roll cage and a blacked-out window. I am enjoying the GT3R so far despite that. I did the WTC800 race at Le Mans. It can do 5 laps on FM6 and pretty good on tires. It's still slow down the straights, but it more than makes up for it in the corners. Can't wait to try it across the top of Mount Panorama.

Why does the gift 911 RSR have less horsepower and less PP than the Brand Central model? I'll be selling that one with immediate effect.

Shhhh, I'm seeing who copies it.

Edit: Sadly, no-one has as far as I can tell.

Just so that people are aware, this refers to the Viewers Gift Campaign car and isn't actually related to this update...

And the answer is it's in BOP conditions. Check the settings sheet and you'll spot it's at 87% on the ECU, and has 72kg of ballast.

Similarly the F3500-B has the Espace V10 engine already fitted because that's what they raced in the GTWS finals.

The new Porsche is an absolute dream to drive. 10/10 would buy 5 more
I completed the car collection long ago and Im capped at 100 MM credits.
So now game credits lost its meaning for me and for that reason I dont bother changing liveries or saving setups over the same car.

I just buy several versions of the same car for different tunnings or liveries.
Buying 6 Porsches seems absolute right for me too
