All Hypercars are cool.So I bought all the new cool Hypercars, each one is very cool on La Sarthe (Lemans) I personally favour the BMW and managed a qucikish time as the start of the TT releasing this morning. Now I believe my time is bronzey as the bar gets higher and higher with alien drivers!!
I have plenty of room to improve. Now we ned more daily races to get these cars accustomed to GT7 racers. They are all awesome and I need to tune later my safety car to make it a beast police car, woop woop!

Good summery of the situation bro. I don't know why people are complainingCan't help but think what this game could've been if not released when it was. Not just because of legacy PS4 support and a certain sense of incompletion when it came out, but also due to the context of endurance racing back in 2022.
GT7 came out in March 2022. At that time, what we have today (busy LMH class, reunion of GT classes under GT3) didn't exist. The early hypercar era was still a bad period in endurance racing, with Toyota experiencing their last years of uncontested domination and GT classes still split between SRO-supported GT3 and the increasingly nonsensical, ACO-supported GTE. Only in 2023 things started to change, with Ferrari and Porsche joining the competition against Toyota. Then in 2024 the ACO finally scrapped GTE and allowed GT3 at Le Mans which is what everyone was asking for.
2024 was the beginning of another prime period for the WEC, but, by then, GT7 was already 2 years old and, to add all these new cars to the game, new licensing had to be agreed upon. This, combined with events in the gaming scene which probably involved licensing priority to games other than GT7 (LMU, ACC which are "official" games), slowed things down for GT7 and forced PD into focusing on other things. With the aforementioned issues apparently solved, it seems the cars from the WEC's new prime era are starting to come out, beginning with the 296 GT3 in December 2025. It's a little out of sync with what's happening in the real world, with the 963 no longer competing at LM due to Porsche throwing a fit about the WEC's BoP, but it's a move in the right direction.
So yes, it did take time for this game to become close to what people wanted it to be. But this was, in part, because there was no other way it could've been. Things in gaming development don't happen instantly and it probably made more sense for PD to wait until the WEC's new era matured to resume work on these cars.
Something also tells me that, with less incentive to release a PS6 in 2027 as expected from Sony, there's also more interest from PD in continuing GT7's development beyond its intended lifespan, which makes it so content is created with the current title in mind. Getting 4 hypercars this late in the game's life is huge and a demonstration of commitment IMO.
So too is Ferrari 499P and BMW LMH.Bro the Peugeot is so sickView attachment 1547834
Don't get me wrong; all Hypercars are sick, just in different ways.So too is Ferrari 499P and BMW LMH.
Yep same for me, I am really enjoying custom races with Hypercars. My grids usually have 15 Hypercars + 4 GT3. All cars with different liveries. And in total I bought 3 Toyotas, 3 Ferraris, 3 Peugeots, 3 BMWs and 11 Porsches (so many cool Penske liveries).Already I've put 930km into the Ferrari 499P ever since the update dropped for me.
Can't stop playing Custom Races with the other Hypercars used in custom grids, so it's usually a five-car race (I'm usually in the Ferrari, competing against the Toyota, Porsche, BMW and Peugeot).
And again, when it comes to all these Hypercars:
"That's not really a racing car, that's just pornography" - Jeremy Clarkson
But most of the time it's not only the number that differs, it can be the windshield banner color, mirrors color, sharkfin color... If you look at the Porsche Penske cars, they are quite different for example. I like having all these liveries, it really improves the immersion imo.I don't mind running two car teams with identical liveries if it's only the number that's different.
I agree, but it seems PD sees how good players replicate liveries, they just leave it to the players now. They’ve been doing that with parts. I’m a bit saddened by it, but how long it takes PD to do things, I’m glad I can replicate a fair few race cars to their EVO versions and road cars to their race versions. Certain swaps help as well.It would've been nice if they'd have given the option of either number, like they do with the Audi R18, Toyota TS050, Toyota GR010 (of which there are 3), and Porsche 919.
i actually thought about that as I was typing my post.I agree, but it seems PD sees how good players replicate liveries, they just leave it to the players now. They’ve been doing that with parts. I can’t speak on the single livery cars, but in terms of the LCD and UCD cars with more than one colour, I was saying it’s the reason PD been grouping the newer added cars in more than one colour. Probably getting closer to the end of term for the game and making them readily available. The problem is that all these liveries will disappear. What on earth am I gonna do with my six Porsche 917K clones once the game goes offline?
Glad someone else mentioned it. Absolutely no idea why this happens. Some may argue it's because most of these liveries are too complex to load instantly (like the 9X8 and the M Hybrid liveries, which are indeed the ones that take longer to load), but this logic doesn't seem to apply to any other car that was already in the game with an equally detailed default livery, like the Raybrig NSX '16 - which itself has way more details than the 499P livery, for example.Speaking of liveries, I’ve noticed that the ones created by PD for the Hypercars load in a strange way. They take longer to load (often revealing the bare carbon bodywork underneath), and I also get the impression that they sometime cause a huge amount of lag at GT Auto. Everything plays out as if they weren't present in the game files but were being downloaded from the cloud.
They probably changed something; in any case, I found it strange.
In theory I would imagine PD should be able to store it as an archive for user generated content that's still available in the game. Maybe for legal reasons only allow it if you're online (like some sort of online check, but not something that relies on GT7 servers). The problem is that all these liveries will disappear. PD are never going to be on the cutting edge of racing cars no matter when they release their games. Especially with how long they take to model. Can't help but think what this game could've been if not released when it was. This is almost certainly never the case.released when ready approach
The problem is that all these liveries will disappear. What on earth am I gonna do with my six Porsche 917K clones once the game goes offline?
This should definitely be achievable - its just a question of whether they are willing/able to spend the resources to do it.In theory I would imagine PD should be able to store it as an archive for user generated content that's still available in the game. Maybe for legal reasons only allow it if you're online (like some sort of online check, but not something that relies on GT7 servers).
I really hope they allow us to at least keep and use what we have, unlike GT Sport. User made liveries also no longer appear in replays in Sport according to the GT wikia. It also says that GT League liveries work, but still hopefully we can keep/use our collection or ideally choose from an archive of all liveries/styles/gear designs once the game goes offline.
How so? I’m going by what the man said. Especially if cars are taking longer to model than previous games. If PD got all five Hypercars licences approved, why would they not time it so they all, different years mind you, get released during Le Mans week? This is almost certainly never the case.
Tells you when the hybrid is deploying. There is a little red light that goes on and off on the Ferrari steering wheel, at the left of the rpm lights, any idea what is its function ?
Agreed, as much as I wanted them to modernize the hypercar class and was a little annoyed with how long it took, it was also important to consider the other parts of the roster because you don't want them getting lost in the shuffle just for the sake of keeping things up to speed in a particular category. There has to be a healthy balance of what content is included or gets added to the game.PD are never going to be on the cutting edge of racing cars no matter when they release their games. Especially with how long they take to model.
But more pertinently, it's a game with limited car slots and a wide scope. Being on the treadmill of "a new GT3/LMP/etc came out so we must add it immediately" isn't healthy for a generalist game - it means you're locking a substantial part of the roster as two or three car classes at one point in time, which limits the ability to add creative or unique things that aren't being done elsewhere.
While I think they definitely took to long to start refreshing the modern cast, waiting a bit to determine which cars are actually worth adding longterm instead of just adding everything "because it's current" at the expense of the road and classic rosters isn't a bad thing. It's not a GT3/LMP simulator, and their priorities should reflect that - something like the SC63 has zero legacy and the game isn't missing anything from PD not rushing to add it.
