Mazda RX-7: I'm happy that we're officially number two for Akagi Red Suns. Unlike the Spirit R, which only has a flimsy aero kit, I can look forward to the custom parts.

Renault Captor: Who was that guy that hit me in the back of the head from subspace? I'd heard the rumors, but this is surprising.
...And now you're being slandered for no reason? Like that SUV?

Chevrolet Camaro: I've never really liked the road car, so I'm excited to see how ambitious this one is.
 
I like new cars to use, but imo, the cars in this anniversary update should be more like the following, these have only appeared in one GT game (I'm pretty sure this is correct).
Honda NSX-R LM GT2 '95 - GT1
Mitsubishi GTO LM Edition '99 - GT2
Tommykaira ZZII '00 - GT3
Toyota Motor Triathlon Race Car '04 - GT4
Nissan 370Z Tuned Car '08- GT5
Nissan DeltaWing - GT6

Just want to point out that the Camaro RM we had in GT5/GT6 didn't have side mirrors, unlike the one in the teaser.

So unless they updated the model (which is possible, they updated the Silvia Touring Car after all), it isn't the RM.

Might not be the RM, but there's no reason it couldn't be an RM.
 
Does the big bump on the Camaro's side roughly where the door handle should be mean anything specific to anyone?

Could just be a weird interaction with the veil, but if not it's rather a big jut out from the rest of the side to just be the door handle.
 
i don't know if its me, but the ride height on that camaro looks really low.
considering it has side mirrors, this discards the RM (unless they updated the model, but i doubt it)
i strongly believe its the red devil sema car.
 
Here's hoping for the ultimate Yenko Camaro. And a headlight cover option would also be a sweet lil bonus.

Surely PD won't just give us boring versions or just standard custom options to 2 car models already existing in the game? There must be method to their madness (I hope)?!

Let’s hope they fix the ia in the power pack and enable pssr 2.0 also in the game
 
I want to say one thing, the sounds of these cars might be better than the other versions' already in the game, assuming they keep up with the recent level of accuracy (I am only looking at the Espace F1's incredible V10).

Currently, IMO, the best old V8 sound comes from the Mangusta fitted with a semi racing exhaust. I want to see it dethroned. Not because I hate it, but because I love it.
 
So the only good thing that could come out of this update, is the potential Red Devil?

Other than that, we may be getting essentually a duplicate, maybe two, and another random SUV (not even high performance SUV, just a common one).

I'm sorry, but at what point will people stop defending this BS? When we got the first random SUV, the excuse was "is just for variety". Now what?

We now have 8 modern regular SUVs, not counting the 2 pickups, nor the older off-road vehicles, nor the Urus.
Meanwhile we have 7 road going hypercars, and that's counting with the Huayra and the Veneno, which is a stretch.

How can someone have the priorities so upside down. And it's not just the lack of hypercars.

Only other car in the datamine that seems like a race car, but it’s not, is the Caterham Seven SL R500 ‘12. That’s not a returning car though. Anyway, it’ll be interesting what the final two cars are.

Suv at the back doesn't look like a Renault to me I'm getting more a nissan X-trail from it could be wrong but the front grill really dose look like nissan

To be honest this isn't an official 4th anniversary update. The same way there wasn't a official 2nd or 3rd anniversary update. For all we know, PD may have had a more substantial update planned to tie in with the GTWS on the 28th March, where they may have planned to revealed some new partnership or production or VGT cars? And maybe this update has been rushed out as a replacement for this month after no update in February.

Something is still better than nothing. And at least after 4 years we know there is still more to come. I'm sure you'll be more satisfied with a future update.

I'd rather drive the Captur and tune it up than drive a hypercar. Hypercars have never been fun for me to drive. All style no substance, look how fast I can go in a straight line - oh oops we forgot about braking and corners. Joyless rides.

Love to haul around the SUVs, high centre of gravity and some decent variety in the class now to make some touring car style builds.

Even if this wasn't the one already sort-of lightly leaked last week, and it is:

The styling lines match 1:1, as do the locations of the door handles and door mirror with relation to them. I noted in the article that the identical-except-badge Mitsubishi ASX is really the only other possibility and it'd be slightly odd that the Captur was specifically mentioned over and over again only to turn out to be the ASX.

I think they were going to show more during the GTWS, but that happened. Would also think with the pop-up partnership with RUF next weekend they would potentially add something in game to go along with the Xiaomi VGT, but I know the RUF pop-up isn't a guarantee that some of those cars will be in game.
 
If the Camaro ends up being the Stielow Engineering variant, I'd be pretty happy. The FD RX-7 is the most exciting car out of the three. Then again, not been a huge fan of American cars generally and SUVs don't do much for me so it's a pretty easy win for the Mazda 🤣
 
Finally! I've been waiting for this Mazda since the first data mining list appeared! My custom Gran Turismo 3-style grids are getting bigger!

Of the road cars we have received over the years, this Mazda along with the Civic EG, FTO and the S14 kouki and zenki are my absolute favorites! 😭 Kaz, now give me a DEMIO!
