Here's a random piece of information for anyone who's still interested in GT PSP:

EBGames now has a SKU for it, and you can now walk into the store and reserve it. Even though it "doesn't exist"

I think the listed release date is November, 2007.

And that's all I have, from an extremely reliable source who told me about 360 Elite back in December, based on a new SKU.

well I'm not holding my breath but it would be nice since I'm not one to risk Bricking my psp to get gt2 on it.

I don't want to digg this thread up again, but was just curious if anyone knows, if this game is still in development. Haven't hear so much from GT Mobile. Play Asia already lists GT5 for pre order but GT mobile is out of stock. The only reason I bought a psp was for playing gran turismo mobile. Atm I am satisfying myself with Gran Turismo 2 via PSX Emu

doubt they're making it anymore...

I have sold my psp already. I've been waiting to damn long:grumpy:

Do all the firmware downgrades\upgrades and you can play GT 1 or GT 2 on your PSP @ full speed and sound.

If I could downgrade and find a decent emulated version of GT2
my PSP would get a lot more use.

As it is I rarely use it for games, more for movies,
music and transfer storage for my GT4 replays & pics.

Hail the day GT makes it to PSP!!

its 2007 already where is the game?

i RECKON its already 2007, the only reason i bought a PSP was for Gran Turismo (well possibly for initial D street stage), how much longer do we have to wait Polyphony? its been almost 2 whole years now still nothing? you can aleast release like a ''prolouge version on psp'' i'd still buy it:)

Edit: Shame though!

Hello guys, its my first post here (i think) as i used this great community to keep me up to date with GT4 back in the day.

I feel i have to add something here because i feel i have as a gamer been let down by Sony. I was on the verge of buying a PSP when GT came out. But it never came? why Sony? I cannot understand the logic behind this, surley this was the one game that would have truley made the PSP great. The fate of the PSP has been on a downward slide, and its no coincidence its because great AAA titles like GT have not been released.

What angers me most is that the PSP had the potential to revolutionise the handheld market. It is without a doubt a great hardware device, the best portable hardware device in fact. But with ridicolous marketing, refusals to drop prices at the right time, refusal to supple new unique original games leaves me in no doubt that Sony has lost touch with gamers, and frankley does not give a ****. They have built up all these massive headquarters of game studios, which they sit it and act like kings with their luxury surroundings and deliver nothing to us gamers who gave them loyaltey during the PS2 days.

As a recent purchaser of the PS3 i know deep in my heart Sony will again give it a diservice just like the PSP. I am angered as it was games that created the Playstation empire, yet now everything has suddenley changed. There is only so much a consumer can take before switching to alternative competition. Anyway rant over, just to say i feel VERY let down by Sony and indeed PD.

Welcome to the forums!

I disagree. If anything, the PSP is on an upward slide – according to the May NPD numbers, the PSP outsold the PS2 and PS3. It has a decent amount of AAA games coming out in the near future like God of War, Final Fantasy Crisis Core, Silent Hill Origins, and more. Besides, this is the first handheld to actually give Nintendo a run for its money. It has outsold the Lynx, Game Gear, N-Gage, etc, all of those things combined. And they're going to put a PS Store on the PSP this fall. Not to mention there'll probably be a redesign in the near future.

As a recent purchaser of the PS3 i know deep in my heart Sony will again give it a diservice just like the PSP. I am angered as it was games that created the Playstation empire, yet now everything has suddenley changed. There is only so much a consumer can take before switching to alternative competition. If you said that a year ago, I would agree. But now? After the PS Home announcement, their new blog (which is now letting them communicate with the gaming public), and the amount of effort they're putting into 1st party titles? I'll have to disagree. Yes, they're still screwing up on some things that the competition does better (PS Store and some multiplatform games, I'm looking at you!), but they're not neglecting it.

If you feel let down by them, then sell your PS3. Buy a 360. Or a Wii. Or build yourself a monster of a gaming PC. You may like those alternatives better now, and maybe even in the future. But Sony isn't neglecting the PS3.

Thanks for replying. You are right the PSP has a good chance of being and continuing to be succesful, but deep down i think Sony if they supported it better could have defo made it even more succesful. It has great potential and of course there is time still.

As for the PS3 yes things have slightley improved but a lot has been lost since summer 2006 through to this year. This momentum will be hard to re-capture. Although i feel let down by Sony it will not drive me to Microsoft the one corporation i most despise. But i will be getting a Nintendo Wii to compliment the PS3 (The PS3 will not be like my other system the PS2 with massive AAA exclusives as i had hoped).

As for the PC, way too expensive for me! :) I stick to the PS3 for only one reason and that is why i bought it, GT5. I have VERY high expectations of this game now, mostly online which was kind of taken away from us in GT4. It looks like it will be released in 2008 (please no more delays) and i still hold it very highley despite the intense competition from Forza and Project Gotham.

Soon E3 2007 will arrive. I look forward to it.

It's fair enough to be impatient. But saying that the PS3 wont be able to generate awesome games is so so wrong. GT5 anyone? That will put the 360 in its place. As for saying that the PSP hasnt reached its full potential, I cant complain with that because of the tedious wait for GT Mobile. But there are so many great game series' from the PS2 that have been bought to the PSP, for example: Metal Gear Solid, Grand Theft Auto, Need For Speed, Tekken...
Nothing unbearable or bad about the PSP I think, I'm not complaining about GT Mobile, It's a shame but I can sleep well enough with Liberty City stories and Portable Ops.

Mabe it wil come out when GT5 is out and we will be able to load our garages from GT5 onto GTM? I bet thats what they want to do cross-compatability

I'm happy with GT2 on my PSP for now. I do still own the game and every other GT sold in the U.S. Its harder with digital controls but i'm getting better.

You can't even find GT2 in stores these days! :guilty:

Polyphony Digital is like the other company on some Verizon Commercials. "We're working on it!"

Well sorry chaps but I ain't buying it, we want GT Mobile, not delays for over 800 days, this is worse than EA. :grumpy:
