Wonderful. There's a standard R8 LMS in there. Unless it's not standard of course.

Heh found video earlyer than recommended updatet in gt clips... now it's on recom.

edit.. have online rankings been there before in seasonals? cool
Edit.. bedore :)

Well now, that's interesting... studying the last few seconds with the X2011, that's certainly not any track that we currently have, though it does look an awful lot like the old Test Course re-done with a different time of day...

Exactly what I was thinking. 👍

Awesome opening movie, just watched it on GT-TV. 👍

Nice catch. Perhaps we'll see it in DLC?

Sometimes I think PD have more fun making intros and trailers than the game itself. Really epic trailer and the music is what I'd expect from a GT intro. Not that MCR rubbish the game shipped with. Can't wait to get this Spec 2 download done and get this intro from the GT-TV store. :D

I really wonder about that long straight! (last seconds on video)

Also can anyone say that was 30 or 60fps (like in GT5 Prologue)

Can you replace the old rubbish intro with the 2.0 intro in options? Please say that you can actually do that.

4.11 in, does that look like SS R11?? Or is it just me?

Nope that SS Route 7, but I can be certain that Spa Francorchamps is DLC, looks like the 6 mile Test Course will make its return as well. I was certain that the old Rome course from GT3 is in there too and what looks like Cathedral Rocks or one of the Rally Courses from GT3. All the rally courses in GT5 are Toscana, but right at the beginning of the video when you start seeing the game you see a Subaru jumping off a hill that looks suspiciously like one of the rally courses in GT4(can't remember the name of it). DLC is going to be possibly free and paid, I can see that happening. I will probably get them all. Anyone else can pick out courses from watching the intro?

@SavageEvil: That is the Eiger Trail
I believe that the track the X2011 is on a high version of Test Course above the sea or a lake, i like :)

The factory part is better, the editing is better, the music is absolutely amazing (love the intro remix of Soul on Display), but somehow it feels like PD is trying to please the casual crowd more with this intro. Some of the car movements just look unbelievable :odd: The lighting/colour tone and shaky camera is also a departure from previous intros. Bottom line, it has more of that 'NFS Fast n Furious' style rather than the classy, elegant GT style I've come to know and love.

That said, this is still 300% better than the old MCR intro. I wonder if the Japanese version of the game has a Moon Over The Castle Version? That would be even MORE epic :D

EDIT: It also shows that PD can record good quality engine sounds, but fail to put them in the game. Also the proper Top Gear TT camera position (with moving tyres no less). I haven't checked the game though, so I don't know if this has been implemented.

Love it! In 1080p and 5.1 DTS it's jawdropping. Now I need the remixed mp3 of 5OUL ON D!SPLAY.

They definitely overdid the spinning out and wrecking. But I agree, three times better than before! This is one of the few times I'm glad to be ill in the morning before work. :p

My video recorder only goes up to 30fps for 1920×1080p resolution. So this video was recorded at 30fps. But the actual video on PS3 is 60fps. 👍
