Games used to be fun because they challenged you to unlock content. I see the appeal in a sandbox, but having to overcome challenges to achieve things is more fun to me. People will differ on this, and that's fine. What doesn't work is a half and half approach. Either go for a sandbox or go for a journey.

Don't see that happening, and yeah, it takes some getting used to before you get a good feel for it. I don't really play much Sport mode, but I'm liking the new physics so far, especially when I've set faster laps with all the Hypercars (except I was slower with the Porsche 963) compared to old physics.

One of the most well-known race cars in the world of Gran Turismo. It made its first showing in Gran Turismo 2 alongside its road going counterpart and the 2 have been showing their faces in the GT franchise ever since. It's in GT6 currently as an improved standard, my biggest reason for this premium upgrade suggestion is that it would seem to be a simple job for PD to do as they already did a lot of remodeling of the car. They just need to remodel the engine and model the cockpit and it'll be ready to go.

Why I Want This In GT: Similar to how Forza 6 has multiple liveries for some race cars, I want Gran Turismo to have a livery variety for some race cars instead of one. It is a pain whenever you want to buy a car you really like but it has a terrible livery. Don't get me wrong, I think the #32 R390 GT1 livery is great, but I think the #33 looks a bit better. The 1997 version of the R390 GT1 LM originally appeared in Gran Turismo 2 alongside it's road counterpart, but both were taken out of GT by Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec and were never seen again in GT. Which is odd considering the fact PD has an ultimately strong relationship with Nissan.

When has that ever stopped them before? The short layouts at Willow Springs aren't even really track day layouts. Le Mans and Monza sans chicane are pure fantasy layouts. I highly doubt any professional events are using Autopolis short. Need I continue?
At present all we know is that Kaz stated "both" the classic and new longer layouts of Autumn Ring will be included. That suggest we're getting two layouts, one of which is new to the series and one is the original circuit layout.
I strongly agree with your comment about the slightly awful boring cafe menu book, & if I remember correctly, I also told that to Kaz on X directly that while for some new players, part of the cafe mode [the first menu books] it might be a decent way to learn GT7 & to easily collect some cars, but it is by itself extremely much worse than the single player campaigns in GT3>4>5, while also GT7 has many fun one make races & a few good missions & etc. it severely lacks good single player campaign, & that was before the Power Pack..!!
Scanning and modelling the ~2 miles of Bugatti Circuit is a much bigger lift than the very small connector of Suzuka West, for a circuit that's almost universally considered a bit boring. That's not a comparable case at all.
I agree kinda, but what if game completion [percent wise] were enough to unlock cars to buy them or winning them [by game completion percent] if it was like "like the wind" challenge in GT3 was too difficult [it wasn't] we would win the Mazda 787B when we reached 75% game completion!
