Any reason why the Australian version has Mount Panorama on the cover? Do other countries have a signature track on their covers.

Lol why do you even care :D First of all its not for first place and even if it was, its just a game with a messed up DR system that cant make everybody happy. Some people really take this so seriously as if you are winning real money on daily basis or are putting your real life in danger. Ive seen S ranked drivers bump people off the track. If every time I booted up GT I had to think oh is it a yellow flag, am I blocking from behind or am I being too fast for the front, is it my corner or his, was i wrong for overtaking on the outside etc...sucks the life out of a game.

If you are playing an actual E Sports event competitively, thats one thing. But posting videos of some random race, chasing 10th place, arguing over a corner...man its just a game. Drive carefully and hope that other too but forget about justice or who is right or wrong. Just play the damn game.

He was being sarcastic. That's why his post is in italics, written by "GT fans" and has /s at the end of it, just in case what he was saying wasn't sarcastic enough yet you still somehow missed the point.

The brazilian version had an interlagos layout too, but it was on that transparent plastic you cut to open the case.
 
I dont know what kind of wizardry PD have pulled here but "online" this is easily the best sim/simcade racer i've played to date. Enormous fun. Had 2 sessions one nearly 5 hours and last night 6 hours. Seems to be amazing racing no matter if your at the back of the pack, the middle or the front. I think having full rooms makes such a difference with 20 on track compared to 16 usually.

Im actually amazed at how much im enjoying this. £22 on black Friday well spent! Actually contemplating not going out tonight and staying sober just so i can get another session in! WTF!
 
Have you ever played a Project Cars game or Assetto Corsa?

Have to agree, this is the best online layout/system on any racing series on console or at least PS4. Wish there was more variety in Sport mode, like 5 races instead of just three and it would be perfect. This game is also more realistic than some people suggest.

Does anyone else see unlimited tyres in a lobby and say.... NOPE.. That will be carnage?
 
With the release of patch 1.06, I've come to the conclusion that this community can't be satisfied. Before the patch, people complained about the physics being unrealistic and generally not very good. Post patch, those same people like the physics now. But now there's a plethora of people that are trashing the game because of the physics change. My question is, what does PD do in this case? There is always a portion of this community that complains about the physics whenever a new patch comes around.

There is no right answer but, IMO, the focus on the finer points of the physics engine is more of a debate among hardcore sim enthusiasts or hardcore GT players. Casual players will probably prefer the latest iteration of the physics engine because it's easier to control the cars.

Welcome to Sim Racing.
 
Whilst it may appear easier, I've rarely felt the confidence to really lean on a car's tyres or mechanical grip as I've found since this update. I sometimes find it absolutely exhilarating.
 
Is this time for release new Gr.4 car? like Civic Gr.4, A45 Gr.4, Focus Gr.4 and 208 Gr.4
I think with bigger list on FWD people not relying only with Scirocco and Megane. Well I already give up on BoP lol
 
I just remembered.... PD should add Fuji Speedway circuit in GTS..... Weird that GT Cars not racing at that track....

So long as its not in sport mode where tirewear on 10laps is nigh nonexistent, Could be good in sport mode if PD got their act together and made the tires you know actually wear quickly and force a pitstop.

I think rather than adding more FF cars to Gr. 4 they should instead be added to their own seperate “touring car” class all together. I’d go as far removing the 4WD cars from Gr. 4 too, moving the class closer to its real-life counterpart (GT4).
 
Just wanted to state that I am back to GT after the announcement of a future update including a real career mode. Not using PS+ I cannot attend any online racing though...

I'd definitely like to see the FF and awd sedans part of S-Tai/Production touring car type category .
 
Is it possible to turn the steering wheel off? Dont see it in the options hoping its hiding somewhere.

Man they should add so much more :) Just last night I watched some youtube video and it was showing off past tracks and I realized how I missed those, both real and PD ones. The Alps one that was used to promote GT5, the city tracks in Japan/Hong Kong, Costa di Almafi etc

I get that for now they are focusing on real races but it would be a shame not to use this beautiful engine and actually get some tracks with scenery and not just gravel n grass.
