So, TAG Heuer has become the first Official Timekeeper and Official Watch in Gran Turismo Sport.

Not sure where the 7 reference comes from?

I think that 7 may have been a typo.
The tweet was just to get you to watch their video...

Yeah 7 is a typo from the Ta Heuer people, still, more videos are good :)

Loving the UI and all this new timing stuff:

It probably doesn't mean anything, I wouldn't read too far into it.

BTW, why the #dontcrackunderpressure?! What does that even mean?!

It's a classic TAG line used in their advertisement.

Quite possibly, yet it's strange to announce a partnership and miss the correct name of the product in your reveal tweet.:dunce:

You could just say it's a typo (I think that too). Though, the 7 appears in their Instagram post as well. But don't read into that too much. It has to be a typo. At least that's what I'm thinking.

Missed chance to announce a release date since it's you know a partnership with a watch.

New UI looks really good though.

Like the new shading at the gauges too. Makes them much easier to read.

I'm super excited! Gran Turismo will be back soon!

As an FIA focused game, why they not having partnership with Rolex? I mean look at WEC and F1 races they are filled with Rolex branding. Is this okay or maybe it is not a big deal for FIA?

Cool news. 👍
Love the look of the UI and timing screens.

inb4 the numbers are secretly a countdown

What I get from this image is a Sport mode daily race, with individual (track to yourself) qualifying.
Quickmatch on steroids, if you will.
Drivers ranked and matched to races accordingly.

I also see a few references to lap counts in other images.
I'm wondering if this plays a part in driver ranking regarding race matching, and if it also effects your driver rating stat.
I'm not the best driver, and it sometimes can take me a while to get up to speed, but I still hope it does. :)

Edit.
Oh, and on another note, I must have blinked at the wrong time before.
Because it's the first time I've noticed the lake at Tokyo.

After this TAG might built a limited edition GT watch as a collector item and merchandise... And only few people is lucky enough to have it...

I hate product placement when it's not subtle. The TAG Heur logo in the time window at any moment.
