I would LOVE to see them return to the colorful, beautiful, Vice City. And I really hope it has co-op campaign. They tried a little of co-op campaign in San Andreas and then tried again in GTA4 but I want a true co-op campaign like Saints Row 2 and SR3. I like all the features in San Andreas like parachute, monster trucks, ability to change your character appearance, vehicle customization and everything else. But I like the Vice city location and scenery. Plus it was the first time I truly fell in love with the GTA series. The first time I bought the hotel with the helicopter on the top was just an epic gaming experience for me. Flying around the city in the helicopter listening to Judas Priest(you got another thing coming), Motley crew, Iron Maiden (2 minutes to midnight) and Slayer(Raining blood), and Twisted Sister for the first time is a moment I will never forget. Hearing those songs still reminds me of that game. :)

I just want all the FUN features that were in San Andreas and Vice City combined into 1 game. Saints Row 2 is the closest to that experience and is a full co-op campaign.

My idea was that you were arrested almost halfway into the game, and had to spend a few hours in prison (months in game time), before staging some epic breakout (think escape from alcatraz), forcing you to hide out in another city, opening the rest of the map to you.
Sounds similar to the beginning of Saints Row 2. :sly:

That's exactly what I had in mind.

Fantastic idea 👍, I can see it being similar to that epic bank heist ( I forget what it was called ) mission in GTA IV.

Really? Had no idea. Never played any of the sr games.

Four leaf clover? That was awesome. My idea was to have half in NYC and half in Toronto. The two aren't that far away in real life. I didn't have any problems with GTA4's liberty city and wouldn't mind if they used it again. I just feel that they didn't utilize it well enough. There could have been more back alley drug deals, more rooftop sections etc. the alley's and rooftops were all there screaming to be used. There was a bit of that spark missing. Some of it was there, like the missing where you have to phone the guy, so he would move in front of the window, but too much importance was placed on driving people around to mini games.

I have a ton of ideas for the GTA series. I'd try and submit them to the housers, but they'd probably not take me seriously.

IMO Saints Row 2 destroys GTA4 by a longshot. If you have never played SR2 you are truly missing out. SR3 is coming out next month and looks even better. Full drop in drop out co-op campaign with more customization than you can imagine. Its a perfect mix between VIce city and San andreas but then add co-op on top of that. SR2 truly was one of THE best sandbox games I have ever played. :dopey:

I saw a preview of saints row three, and it looked ridiculous imo. Everything plus the kitchen sink thrown in there. Skyrim comes out next month too, so saints row won't even flick up on my radar.

Well its your loss for sure. By far one of the most "fun" sandbox games ever created especially with full co-op campaign. I sure am glad I am not close minded and gave the series a chance.

Geeze you act like he called out your mom or something.

Man, I loved that mission. Don't think it was as good as the end though.

I would like it to start out as a European passenger, like GTA4, on a plane to Los Santos, which crashes in Vice City and they must rebuild themselves in Vice City but with more variety of missions, instead of just go there, shoot for a while, and go-back like on GTA4. I want some epic missions, similar to the Area 51 mission on San Andreas or the Bank Robbery on 4. If it gets released on PS3, I would presume it will have pretty much everything we have seen in GTA4 and the add-ons.

Also, a lot of people were pretty angry that there were no planes in GTA4 and want them in the new one, honestly, I think they're a waste, they're just not as 'get in and fly' as the helicopters. Won't be good in any mission where the helicopters aren't.

Here's an idea for a mission. There is a drug seizure involving your gang or acquaintances, you must go there and save them by killing the cops.

Another is a steal/exchange (insert illegal item here). Cops find out, big police chase/gun shootout on busiest streets in the game (assuming that they fixed the difficulty in escaping cops)

Plant explosive's in the rival gangs base, with a good gang helping you, make it a multiple choice mission, where one of the gang members will die.

Killing a gang-leader beside a sky-scraper, sparking a big chase up and a base-jump down. Making part of the map bad to return to(like San Andreas) and sparking huge gang wars across the map and cop activity high going into the final stages of the game.

Final mission, revenge for killing a close relative, multiple choice, which results in the death of a friend either way, chase the bad guy out of that part of the map and corner him somewhere, kill him and say the line. "Welcome to America"

Okay, the last one is quite like the last one on GTA4, but that was good.:dopey:

It would be good if they made it more movie-like, but not too cinematic, it would make all those missions 10 times better.:)

Don't forget about Love Fist.

I'm not close minded, but to be honest, I don't spend a lot of money on games, and ones advertised with guys running around in giant bunny costumes and hoverbikes and priests waving guns, doesn't really appeal to me. There's a difference between close mindedness and just rejecting stupidity. I'm 24, so it's not really of much interest. Besides, the review scores for saints row 2 weren't exactly brilliant either.

If this is true there is no point of living anymore
Is there any source that can back that up?
Yes. A random forum user. Why would he just say something like that? It's got to be true. /sarcasm.

He's just trying to get in the center of attention. Just like Al Gore with global warming. These two have a thing in common. They're made up.

A bit like the guy who said "word on the street, it's gonna be in London" and "got friend's in high places".

When he realised that no one believed him, he revealed his sources to be a forum.

And we all know what a accurate source of information they are. :sly:

Yes. I have it on insider information, that when you buy saints row three, you'll insert the disc and it will say "Haha, I'm actually GTA5. Suck it saints row fans".

You heard it here first people. Rockstar and THQ are playing a massive, massively late April fools joke on everyone.

Funny. I just said it was hard to believe how long the series had been in limbo for in the "10 years since gta3" thread.

Good news. And a trailer so soon? Can't wait.

TiZzla
I don't have any specific expectations.

I just expect to be amazed.

Lol same. I don't care about what they did or the direction try took because I no its gonna be sweet.

I don't think it will be "another SAN ANDREAS". You evidently have some complaints about that game, but without being specific, I can't really address them. However, the open casting call that Rockstar has put out hints at there being no real connection to any of the character from SAN ANDREAS. Where SAN ANDREAS was gang wars and corrupt police and the triads, GTA V is hinting at a unit of misfit FBI agents who together form on barely-competent agent, the kind of celebrities who are only ever in trouble (are you reading this, Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan?), cult leaders (*cough*tomcruise!*cough*), bored housewives and what looks like a hippie drug ring. There is no indication who the protagonist is, though - assuming the protagoinst is listed in the casting call. It will likely be a wildly different game in terms of plot and characters.

But one advantage that SAN ANDREAS had over GTA IV was the way San Andreas state had open areas. Liberty City was almost entirely developed, but San Andreas had both rural and urban areas.
