lol, the training at the club made it ;)!!

Guess i have to watch your lap then. I´m getting a lot of 37.8xx, but i´m botching a lot of corners through the rest so i´m still on 18.1 overall.

You´re making the job of "fastest in the americas" a lot harder

Thank you mate :), i'll try to improve it, you can see at my replay that the 1st sector and the next 2 turns was not good at all.

I wouldn't suggest people taking up kettlebells this soon to the finals though. Everyone should be working on endurance, so just core strength as far as weight training goes. No bench pressing and such, you guys wanna reduce injury as much as possible. also, for cardio do eliptical machines or bikes, not treadmills, reduce impact!

Valid point there. Cardio was the emphasis in my post but I would suggest some weight training to add strength into the mix. Especially for those who have no work out experience prior to this event because the habit can be very beneficial in the long run. As for the kettle bells, I would use them when running or hiking. No more than 5-15 pounds in each hand though.

Damn that happens lol. Yesterday i tried to improve my 17.493 by 2 hours and i just couldn't. Today i woke up and in 30 min i did a 17.301 with an horrible 1st sector 37.8xx(37.588 my best), and damn bad next 2 turns xD, but then i did my best. I'll try to improve it later :)

I just got a message saying "this content will expire in 15 minutes", but the date/time is reading 12/7 21:45, can someone explain?
 
Me and my buddy had the same a moment ago. Hope it's nothing to worry about. On the other hand. If they stop the academy now, i'm in the national final :lol:
 
Are you guys still able to put in laps or is it closed after restarting? Maybe it's a surprise ending and a few will move onto the next round. God I hope not I was waiting for this weekend to put in some good time.
 
i could run about 15 minutes ago.

improved to 2:17.649 still some time left.:crazy:
 
Ya I ran into that too "In xx minutes this content will expire." And when the time came it frickin rebooted my PS3!

But I could go right back in then. Weird.

A bit maybe but only because of the complaining and bad attitude from the wife.

Generally I just run until I better my time each day and as soon as I do I shut it down.
 
I took a break for a few days and dropped 2 seconds first day back after 20 minutes. Plenty of days left, so take a break.

Holy mother! 2 seconds?!

I spent a bit of time on the WRS TT the other night for a break and it absolutely destroyed my feel for GTA :-(

I seem to get better by just having short runs daily. Never more than an hour.
 
With a fresh head this morning I managed to improve to a 2:16.868 Lost quite a lot of time around Copse, the rest of the lap was pretty good but not the best I've done, I wash shaking like a leaf through the last corner! :lol:

I know that fealing :lol: but then I just relax and think to my self " i´ve done this hundreds of times (thousands in your case :lol:) so why would i screw up now":cool: It´s just a mentality thing.
 
One of the great things with Academy is feeling the tension one the few last corners when you're ahead of your ghost. There only few things that'll bring your pulse high that fast :P
 
I tell you what the spanish leaderboard is rather nuts :scared:, I think it's the first year I wouldn't qualify for every country, with that spanish board... Even a 16.9 isn't safe on that there!

Oh yeah, I can feel it in my legs too, sometimes they almost feel numb when Im approaching the final corners
