GT on vita

This is a bad idea. a really bad idea. It is time consuming. It will give another reason to mock Gran Turismo's release date times.

This comes as no surprise. There will of course be a Vita Gran Turismo title and we will definitely get it quicker than we did the PSP version. Sony will not make that mistake again.

A Vita Gran Turismo would be a dream portable as it is bound to be a fully fledged title and not the horrendously badly structured PSP approach.

I really hope not. I can't see anything good that could come out of another GTPSP-style disaster, because the Vita is barely any more suited towards such a game than the PSP was.

And if it absolutely has to happen, at the very least I hope that Sony forces someone else to make it rather than letting PD do so.

I have a Vita and I don't want GT to be on it, haha. As much fun as Gt Vita would be, I'd like PD to spend their time making GT6. If the company had another division of their team to make a GT Vita that wouldn't jeopardize the creation of GT6 , then I wouldn't mind.

You know it will release quicker. Also you know it will have more more features.

Definately.

Does my G27 plug into this thing or am I forced go use thumbs?

I only hope it will calm down all the GT6 crazy speculations.
Next GT on console is years away, at least 3. I truly hope i'm wrong but everything is a cycle.

On a sidenote. Could we use the Vita as a rear view mirror in gt5?

Oh dear, more marketing plans from Sony.

The old GTPSP was terrible enough; the controls were ludicrously terrible, and the gameplay itself was half-finished - they did the arcade mode, but then they seemed to have forgotten about career mode.

I really hope not, for reasons covered in other threads. A simulator on a handheld console does not work.

Being able to download the same game for free on the other device, if you already bought it on the other one is a good idea. Points for Sony if they can make it.

BUT, regarding GT Vita... Don't know if it's a good idea. I enjoy GTPSP from time to time but I don't want PD spending time making a GT for Vita right now. After GT6, it's OK imho.

Get another team for that, like ShortAznGuy stated. Whatever. Please don't lose focus from main GT games, PD. :(

If GT Vita happens, I just hope it's a port of GT5 with the standard cars removed. It wouldn't take as much development time away from GT6 that way.

Or better yet, make GT6 first, then GT Vita.

I suppose it'd give me a reason to consider getting vita..but I agree GT6 is more important.

This is just stupid idea, it somehow will give GRAN TURISMO 6 more time to develop without people asking for it, the funny thing is if GT VITA developed better than GT5.

Please just focus on GT6 first. Please Sony, don't force PD to interrupt their main game again.

Vita needs to die. We want GT6 on home console.

On serious note, I would pay for PSN+ and buy Vita if I could get Vita games free.

While i agree that it must not interfere with the development of GT6 in any way (just do GT6 first and then do a straight limited port), i would very much love to see GT on Vita.

GT psp is a blast, i honestly don't get why people lambast it for having no career mode, the game setup is so streamlined; pick a car, a track, set laps, off you go. That honestly all you need in a portable game and wish GT5 had something this userfriendly!

The only big concerns I have are how to solve the fact that there are no analog triggers on the Vita for modulating throttle/brake input, and having no rumble.

Yeah. I forgot to mention I am actually developing it too. Sorry about that. Surely people realise that Sony will not make the same mistake again and considering that PS3 assets are far more compatible with Vita the development time will be reduced.

I was not trying to dictate what will happen with Gran Turismo Vita I was purely pointing out what should occur with a little common sense on Sonys part. That is all.

Hmm some think making a mobile version takes time away from developing the core franchise.
I guess those with them feelings would think there making the same mistake twice.

A matter of perspective.
Congrats on the job BTW.

btw im not interested in handheld car simulator....
im just stick with arcade racing like asphalt or NFS if its in handheld

Looks like focus will be put on the Vita version of GT now. I would not blame PD, its likely Sony pushing.

I think this quote from the GT PSP Wiki says it all:

The game was announced at the E3 Sony press conference on May 11, 2004, the same conference where Sony announced the original PSP. Following five years of delays and speculation, it made a reappearance at E3 on June 2, 2009 in a playable form. It was released on October 1, 2009 as one of the launch titles for the new PSP Go.

I wouldn't be expecting GT Vita any time soon... it might come out when the Vita Go is launched in 2017...

What if GT6 is GT Vita?
If so, what about renaming the forum in Jumpship-planet.net

Knowing KY and his visions, they can release GT vita at any time.. but they want make it perfect first.

I hope GT vita is just a port of GT5, or we are in a huge Titanic.
