It's the chaparral 2J. It cannot be won but it can be bought in the Chaparral showroom(america), under legendary cars. It costs 1,250,000 credits.

Yay I finally beat the GTWC. I used my black 787B with the points on the races being between 144-177. Took me about 2-3 days just on the Sarthe course.

If you want to place higher in the field then go to practice. Its the same thing as qualifying. I believe if you qualify then the # of points you would get will be lower than if you didnt qualify.

thought i'd post this here instead of down on the gt4 forum.

heres a quick one... on GT3 there was definitely only one, and to my knowledge, there is only one on GT4. what is the only car that is colored brown, and what is the colours exact name. come on all you GT junkies, see if you can answer this one!

i will post the answer in a couple of days, unless someone gets it right before then.

Well, there are several in GT4, brown is a choice for several of the muscle cars.

GT3..........the Pug 206 in Class C in arcade? :dunce: :D

Hey all.
There are a few things I wanted to mention... Basically, 👍 to all of you who have decided this thread is the place to discuss the game without starting new threads.

I just feel bad I never really picked up on this thread before today. :guilty: :dunce:

That said-
I've noticed a few good threads about "best car."
What are your favorite cars and why?

FF, FR, MR, 4WD, RR, Race and Street of each, sub-categories of choice... All that stuff!

If you want to distinguish between LMP Mid-Rear and JGTC MR, cool. 👍
Even GT300 vs GT500...

Whatever you all want to talk about. 👍
I will be back again later today or maybe even in an hour.
Maybe then I will post some of my favs. ;)
Talk to you all then,

Just barely related to GT4 but I didn't know where to put this:

I want to run a cable through the ceiling from my PS2 to my TV (+/-50'). Any ideas on what's the best way to do this? What type of cable? Will I experience any problems with voltage drop, or anything else? I appreciate any help!

Soory do u mean power cable?, if so why do u want to have your ps2 in a different room than the tv, seems a bit of a fuss but anywany voltage aint a problem no change there, us a normal extention cable and run cable either up the stairs or through the roof. Only problem is the rf cable to reach the tv from the ps2

Yeah I was talking about the audio left, right, and video cable.

You'd need a specialised cable or you could cut the cable in and extyend it yourself which wouldn't be hard to do.

I know these two things have probably been dicussed before but there is 2 things i dont like about GT4.

1. The terrible waits in mission there should be an option to skip the waits.

2. When you buy a car (even if you have auto save off) It still saves the game. Therefore you cant buy a car test it out then reset u r ps2 if you dont like it.

The wait really pisses me off. especially when u r trying to get used to the TAKATA

wait, seriously? I thought memory on the card and disc were two totally different things

Yes and no, in GT3 the entire game save was in PS2 memory when you were playing it, thus you could save to any old memory card you had at any time.

GT4, on the other hand, only keeps the current car and race in PS2 memory, all of the other stuff, like your entire garage, is only on the memory card and is called in as needed. In effect the memory card becomes an extension of the PS2 memory, not just a storage device as it was in GT3. If you take out the memory card during a game and put in a different one you will lose all the stuff not in memory at the time and/or the game will think the card is corupt and throw up its hands. Either way you are SOL...

No You can't turn it off. Your choices are on and limited. On limited it still saves when you change cars and will not let you change cars w/o a mem card inserted.

I recently found out my car settings are not being saved from race to race, I set up the Cobra ran a set of races. Saved the game, went back later to run the little Cobra elsewhere and the settings went back to default, anybody else experience these symptoms? 👎

have u made sure that you select the "ok" button after u change a setting? if you press the triangle button it doesn't save your change.

You can also do two different settings. Notice at the top it says set a(default setting),
set b(custom setting)and set c(another custom setting). 👍
