I know the list is not complete, but weren't Fuji Speedway 2005 F and Fuji Speedway 2005 GT already confirmed in pictures before the release of the full game?

Anyway, nice to see Clubman Stage Route 5. :)

I'd like to hear about these slowdowns from NTSC players.. Remember, going from NTSC to PAL requires both a frame rate change and a resolution change. It wouldn't suprise me if that's the cause of the problems, especially in the FMV's (60fps down to 50fps.. it's forced to drop ten frames of animation every second, so yeah.. it's gonna be a bit jittery).

Can anyone with the game confirm if these tracks are in Fuji Speedway 2005F
Fuji Speedway 2005GT
Thanks.

ahh i thoguht the juggied picture was my PS2 dying. that i think COULD be caused by PAL > NTSC (i have a PAL sys too).

i havent noticed ANY slowdown in-game, but i have noticed the FMV slowdown in track menu (but sometimes).

overall i think they did a f*n great job with the game considering the ps2's limitations.

but that jagged pic at the beginng of the track is the worst prob of all for sure coz it's VERY noticeable and gets annoying (especially when u're trying to show a non-GT player the brilliance of this wonderful game)

I have exactly the same problem. But I use a japanese ps2, and tried with both a TV connected in RGBs, and a projector connected in YUV. Same bug everytime, and yes its in 480i mode. Couldn't try 480p, my tv and projector don't accept it.

It show at least at the beginning and ending of every race. There is a visible "juddering" too in the main screen where you select your race, home, etc, when the screen scrolls.

I've just watched the footage of the lap around La Sarthe - absolutely brilliant! Gives a fantastic sensation of real speed and looks like the car is about to lose it and any moment - I was also impressed with how good the scenery looks when whizzing by - nice one Polyphony, and top job by whoever took the vid (forgot - sorry!)

Can't wait to see it on a 32" Sony Wega TV with the surround sound fired up...

Could someone tell me what track this is?

You didnt like Grinderwald??? I liked the back stretch! It was definetely a differnt track though.

Actually Grindleward was my favorite track of all GT tied with HSR.
Loved both for very different reasons, HSR was pure fast thrill ride.
Grindleward was a great technical challenge, especially loved the twisty cambered uphill section.
Im so dissapointed PD didnt feel the need to revive this fantastic track.

I think this has been asked, but here goes again. What happens if you attempt to drive over the edge on Grand Canyon? I hope it's not the same as in GT4P where the car hits an invisible force. Hopefully the car goes over the edge and you have to restart.

*Ignore this post*

Did you discover what happened to SS5 wet then?

Edit:
Ignore this post!
I see you decided to open this discussion in its own thread after all. :)

Can anyone confirm that Complex String isn't in the game? I know it isn't on any tracklist, but then maybe it wouldn't be as you don't race on it...

You can't go out of the track, there are invisible walls. Too bad.

I'm playing the NTSC version and i have every single graphical glitch that amar mentioned. I was really surprised to see that the agme as a whole looks worse than the GT Concept Tokyo, Geneva. Tsukuba on GT4P looked better, minus the pop-up, than it does on teh final game.

The lighting seems less realistic now. Suzuka is my favorite track but it's one of the worst looking ones. I gotta fire up F355 to compare them because i think it looked better then.

still though, i can't stop playing the game.

See, the funny thing is that people ***** saying that they want the game released, they grumble, moan, and get petitions signed for it to not be delayed or whatever, etc etc etc, and then when its finally released they ***** and moan and say it's not polished enough.

Some people on this board really need to get a life.

to visualize all available tracks, i 've found two cool pics.
Seoul looks realy boring :indiff: and i miss some older offroad tracks.

I guess the 50+ tracks they promised was followed through. We got 51 tracks.

51?

Well, the list on the first post of this thread has 48 tracks.

Adding Fuji Speedway 2005 F and Fuji Speedway GT, the list goes to 50. So, what track is the number 51?

I don't think there is any real evidence of a pre-80's Fuji. That diagram is from a fan site like this one.

I'd love to see it though - especially with the high speed banking of the first turn.
