GT4 WRS Week 23: "Trimming Time at Mid-Field"

I'm not exactly satisfied with this overall, but finally reached 39.4x (by .003.. :indiff: ). Shaved .03 off it, so about .13 out of my goal.

T1: 20.347
T2: 39.497

hm...

just lost a 39´397... 6 a.m here, so time to go to bed, lots of NFL tomorrow :dopey:
also, now my best time its a dirty one, so those 2 things togheter mean only one thing: my best time is still to come... hopefully i can get to 39´350, which is my goal... and to that half second barrier that i´m aiming for...

more runs monday, all or nothing

btw, i also finally saw some 20´2´s... 20´275 was the best...
 
I was looking at the leaderboard for this week...Interesting that relative to D3 the top 5 people are using DS2. Of course the opposite is true at the top of the leaderboard (D1) 5 of the top 6 are using DFP. This is contingent on everybody keeping their controller preference updated.

I wasn't going to compete this week but maybe I'll take few laps and see if I'm at all competitive...been spending some major time on AMC and a little on HTAS.
 
Some lame D3 splits :crazy: -- after about 30 laps. Looks like another poor performance for me this week. I'll start working on my excuses now. How many laps are you guys puttin' in to get to the times you're postin'.

T1: 20.887
T2: 40.840

Fun combo tho. I really like this track. First time I've driven this car in GT4. Seems alot better than I remember in GT3.
 
Just got a T2 of 39.512, then decided it would be fun to brake to late, then understeer off into the right hand side wall....

If I don't get this god awful corner right soon I'm going to stab someone!
 
lol, i just got a T2 of 39.590, my best ever, then i decided to brake too early and too much and ended up practicly still on the grass inside the hairpin.....

My BEST splits would give me this time
T1 - 20.290
T2 - 39.455
T3 - .3 Faster!!! I gotta get this time....
 
Well this is it for me.. Im submitting.. this week is over, i know i could probably squeeze another 0.1 or 0.2 out of this lap at my skill level (maybe).. but i can't be bothered with it anymore! :)
This combo although very good, hasn't taught me much skill as the city courses (although i hated them, i have learnt more doing more complex courses),
i guess it has opened my eyes more to the fact that corners can be taken faster than it should in Midfield but, this course is way too easy, trying to cut down thousandths of a second is crazy, just my thoughts...

WOW, just equaled my best lap :p

Realy happy i did this, as i can easily see where to make up time now, Still not quite at that target yet tho.....
 
Jase, are you using DFP or DS2? DFP has the ability to be faster this week...(unless you're one of those crazy people who are basically just as articulate with the DS2) Smoother inputs will help you make that thousandth of a second here and there... :-\ So if you've got one and can use it, LUCKY!

I need to pull more out of my lap... When though!?! I'm going to a party later! And work before! AHHHHH!!! I want to get more out of it, I'm not even close to my final time yet! Ok, maybe only a little over a tenth off, but still, I know I can do two tenths better. argh.
 
There are way too many D2 driver above me this week ... but I just can't seem to nail these corners, especially the first damn T :(

you know what, it feels good to come in here the first race and be faster then alot of div2 drivers, atleast on the splits...:p

Curious for the results Tuesday. :)

ARGHH!!!!!! Just got a 39.499, then a perfect line and speed into the hairpin....Then i let off accelerator for no apparent reason and ruined the lap :'(

280 gearing, AUTOMATIC (thats right), DS2, Full Tune (RSS and the rest)

I've had just about enough this week, I had a bad night last night after hearing of the death of WRC co-driver Michael Park. :(

What! REALLY? Who is his driver? I'm Tivo'ing the rally coverage on Speed tonight. I'm sure it'll be all over that.

Finally got some time to run this combo a little.

20.408 // 39.471

I've got another tenth and a little more left, but I don't care, no more time.

Edit:

I didn't read the rules for the race figuring it would be the same as usual but I see that the grey paved areas are not part of the track. I think that in the second tunnel I deliberately went wide onto the grey area, I just hope I still have the left tires on the white line :nervous:

Well I'm out, I'm completely off into the grey area in the second tunnel, I saved over my previous best lap, and I ran out of time.
 
threw away a 39.466 FIRST TIME I EVA got under 39.5 :(! oh well, it was a mistake rejoining this weeks wrs (coz i should really really really need to be studying)! im outta here folks!

They were nice splits and I had my best last sector time as well, but I didn't read the rules so none of it counts :)

Yup, second tunnel, I could have easily stayed on track, but to gain like a thousand of second I went off into the grey area which isn't allowed. Thx for saying I had nice splits :) Yours are nice also and legit 👍

So damn close to my goal that I set at the beginning of the week... I'm suprised it's been this hard to get there... I'll get it tomorrow morning and hopefully then some. Wow. Splits later, gotta run!

And I never thought the last hairpin was THAT important. But now I just matched my fastest lap(dirty) but lost .15ish to it on just that turn-finish! And I thought I did alright!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHH adrenaline is going hardcore. PEACE!
 
Had a decent session over the weekend, dropped into a certain bracket at the finish.

Splits so far using the DFP and 270 gearing!

T1: 0'20.445 (seen 2x 0'20.2xx's)
T2: 0'39.630 (seen a few 0'39.4xx's)

Although I had a few great T1 and T2's my previous ghost kept passing me in the last sector. :banghead:

At least there is still a day or so, so maybe I can convert a 20.2 into something decent at the finish line. :D

@Jase - Don't relax dude, I'm gonna catch you! :D
