Hmmm I see your point here. I didn't think about this actually. In that case I don't mind as much and I still believe they will be released as a Stealth car pack later on. Maybe for free? Who knows. If they do cost money I still stand by my point that I hate it when developers release DLC and charge for it when the content is on the disc. If I'm not mistaken Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter IV both did this.

I dislike that bit too. I think Soul Caliber IV also did it with the Yoda/Vader system-exclusives. PS3 got Vader and 360 got Yoda. Then for $5 you could buy the one you didn't get.

I do make one exception: Unlock keys like Burnout Paradise has. Don't want to complete all the challenges to unlock all cars? For $5 they will be available for you now. That works for me because it gives access without easily found and used codes. I feel better knowing that if anyone didn't put in the same work I did they didn't get the same rewards without some consequences.
 
Standard Edition from amazon.co.uk gives you two stealth cars;
Mazda 787B
McLaren F1

I ordered it, will sell the game and keep the cars. Now I will order the CE for another Stealth car, but I can't decide. What car complements those above the most of the stealth cars?

Some say the Audi is almost the same as the Mazda and that a JGTC-car would be more useful, some say that the Benz is a favorite @ PD so it must be good, please help me decide?
 
I ordered mine 2 months ago , shame we dont get stealth cars but the chrome line cars look sick !! , The collectors edition package overall is best i think.

I dident know the Blu Ray box was black , insted of red . looks much better and the Apex magazine has everything about GT5 and will probably be worth a bit in a few years time aswell:) £59.98 + Postage , overpriced but worth it the signiture edition is just lunacy though only for those die-hard fans out there !

i wonder how much stealth cars will be on PSN ??
 
Altough I live in Maputo Mozambique, I have just pre-ordered my Gran Turismo 5 - Signature Edition from here.
R1555 (South Africa) = $219.51 (USA) = £141 (UK).

Unfortunately, they don´t ship internationally.
So when it´s released in November I´ll just do a 200KM/3hour drive from Maputo city (MZ), through the border, to pick it up at their I´Langa Mall store in Nelspruit city (SA) in the morning, have some lunch, do some light shopping, go watch some random 3D movie at the Riverside 3D Theatre, and then another 200KM/3hour drive to return home.

The good news is that with 10% Tax Refund for foreigners at the Customs Border on the way back, the overall price will be reduced to:
R1400 (South Africa) = $198 (USA) = £127 (UK)

PD should add that trip as a rally stage & make it DLC! :sly:

Sell it? Why not just return it? You won't get people to pay retail so most you'll get is maybe $50.
And why would the code be on the pre order receipt? They don't even have the codes yet.
 
Well, i heard Gamestop does not refund full price. I will list it on eBay the very day
i get it. It should sell at full price or more ($55-$65) depending on supplies. I'm sure
the code won't be anywhere inside the box so i won't even touch the seal.

Reading their return policy on the website, it states that you can return unopened games for a complete refund. The game will also not be in any danger of selling out anywhere so I would suggest getting a refund. Unless of course you make it available to those overseas but you'll have to deal with international shipping.
 
I see. Well thanks for googling that, im not really familiar with GS, in fact, i've bought all my games online (all pre-owned). With the exception of this one of course :D

Good to know. Let me ask you this then. Do they check if the code on the receipt has been used or not, for the pre-order bonus? I'm assuming no cause how would they check, just wanna make sure.

They probably wont care, because there is no assigned value for the bonus.

If the game is unopened you get a full refund in the same form you paid for the game. I ordered online so they'll just refund my card.
 
No to be a pure grump, but if your returning a game but keeping the DLC, that is stealing.

Stealing and piracy are the same, and i'm sure piracy is against the AUP.
 
Well, technically, it's a "pre-order bonus", so you get it because you pre-ordered. If you no longer want the game, you still get the bonus... okay, it's a gray area, I'll admit.

I'm just going to chuckle when PD just gives all the Stealth models to everybody in DLC form a few months down the road, just like the PSP bonuses.

I look forward to that day, no way PD are going to make it impossible for true GT fans to collect all the cars.

Isn't the DLC free? And does the refund include the $5 or $10 reserve cost? And the AUP disallows discussion of illegal activities, using piracy as an example. I'm not sure if this is illegal.

As far as i know, it's only free if you bought a copy of the game. The reserve fee, if exists, isn't related.

If i bought a PS3 and i was given a game free, if i was to return the PS3, i would have to return the game also.

Theft is illegal, deliberately stealing DLC is theft. People here are talking about deliberately 'playing' the system to get free DLC, what they are doing is theft.

I'm not trying to be the grump, but stealing anything from the company that is supplying us with a product as good as GT is wrong.
