It's already confirmed for the PSP, so is it really such a big stretch to "presume" that we'll also see it in GT5?

According to "logic" it is, because presumably it can be in Gran Turismo, but not in Gran Turismo 5. I don't understand it myself either, so I'm right there with you.

please read the title and 1st post of this thread. I've never complained about miss placed posts but i hate opening a news thread to see this stuff.

b

I'm sorry, but what I meant was if the Mach 5 should be added (not in black) because PD tested the car in the game.

Why are the R33 and R34 Skylines missing from the Nissan section of the list? The R34 GT-R is obviously in Prologue and we've seen the R33 GT-R in some other Prologue videos as well.

Thats not GT5 engine, it was made with ca. the same polycount as cars in GT5 Prologue, thats all. The whole rendering was done from private people in Maya iirc.

EDIT: http://propergraphics.com/index.htm
They actually list it as their only "low-poly" project.

EDIT²: https://www.gtplanet.net/looking-beyond-gran-turismo-5/ The original GTPlanet article.

Alright, I thought it had been mentioned before...but it would be cool if Koinigsegg appeared in GT5...wouldn't be surprised if they did. :P

Well spotted, we saw the R33 GT-R in pre-Prologue screens and the R34 GT-R is indeed in GT5:P.

It's been pointed out a few times in the last few pages but the359 hasn't been back to update since.

Im listening to Everything Must Go (Chemical Brothers Mix) again, but this time the GT1 Intro version, right now, at the same time i see this purple R33, god damn!
I just love the R32 and R33 and everytime i see them, i love them a little bit more.
Cant wait to throw this monster around some tight corners.

Sorry for off-topic, but i had to write this down. lol

Please forgive me if this is in the wrong place. Back in 2007 what got me seriously interested in the Playstation was this thread on Acurazine.com http://tl.acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=630625&highlight=gran+turismo
Back then they talked about sony's "official" list of 1000 cars. I don't know if it is official but it does have the correct number of cars and this was posted two years ago.
lol 2007
that was proven to be fake a looong time ago

10.000?...Ahem...

Sorry I should have read more before I posted. There are lots of obvious errors and it said 10000 cars not 1000.

I wonder why PD didn't include all the cars from GT HD in Prologue (MX-5, R32 etc.)?

There seem to be several sites that have found the GTPlanet car wishlist, and somehow assumed or simply made up that it is the "official" list. Most have figured out its not real by now and retracted their statements, but there are still some that have yet to figure it out. It is funny to read the comments on the threads though!

That came from GTPlanets wish list, some websites took the wishlist and published it as a official list.

Yeah, this was the case before GT4 was released as well. Some people are nuts...

Add in the mazda furai concept race car. it was seen in a gameplay video for gt psp. If i remember correctly all cars from gt psp will be in gt5. Am i right?

How would I know!?!?! Yeesh.

Technically wouldn't the Furai be classed as a Prototype. not a Concept since it is quite capable of racing.

Working or not, it's still a concept car. As it stands it's not eligible for any race series i know of so is still a concept.

Also, regarding some information brought up over the past week:

The "Gran Turismo" award at Pebble Beach could simply be an award for grand tourer cars. There's no indication that the award is in any way involved with Polyphony.

The Pescarolo is not a Peugeot. Easiest way to tell is that the car in the video has a full-width rear wing, something which is no longer legal on LMP1s.

I have however spotted a new car to add to the list:

At 1:03 there is a spinning Audi R8 LMS GT3 car, specifically the PlayStation liveried Abt Sportline car which ran the 24 Hours of Nurburgring.

I also need help in identifying the car immediately before the Audi, at 1:00 into the video. It looks like a Skyline GT-R racer but it's not in a color scheme I recognize.

Thats the Amuse Carbon R (R34) that was in GT4

Edit, beaten to it

Off-topic: That rear wing rule the ACO introduced is idiotic. They could've accomplished that easily and cheaply by adding weight or reducing power levels across the LMP1 and LMP2 cars.

I think it's an old Mazda RX7 FC3S
